Our stay at Casa de Alba Boutique Hotel this past July was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived (two adults and two teenage boys), we were taken by the charm of the place — a beautifully restored colonial home tucked right in the heart of Cartagena’s walled city. You literally step outside and you're surrounded by history, color, music, and life. The location couldn’t be more perfect. The hotel itself is stunning. The pool in the central courtyard was the perfect way to cool off after a day of exploring, and the rooftop terrace was wonderful. Everything was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. One of the highlights of our mornings was breakfast — fresh, local, and absolutely delicious. Every day we were served a mix of tropical fruits, fresh juices, warm breads, and hot dishes made to order. It wasn’t just tasty — it was clearly made with care. But what really made our stay unforgettable was the staff. Laura, Christian, Antonio, and Carlos went above and beyond to make us feel at home. They were warm, attentive, and genuinely kind — offering great recommendations, arranging transport and reservations, and checking in to make sure everything was just right. You can tell they truly care about the guests and take pride in what they do. We can't wait to come back!

Our family trip to Cartagena was nothing short of magical, and staying at Casa de Alba played a huge role in making it an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that set the tone for our entire stay. The boutique hotel’s charm is undeniable, with beautifully decorated rooms that blend modern comfort with traditional Colombian style. It was the perfect home base for our family, providing not just a place to sleep but a cozy retreat to unwind after our daily adventures. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. They arranged a an amazing private tour for us that kept our children engaged. The hotel also can organize several excursions and restaurant reservations for you which is a huge plus. Cartagena is rich in culture and history, and Casa de Alba is ideally located for exploring everything the city has to offer. We loved wandering through the vibrant streets, visiting nearby attractions, and soaking in the local culture. Casa de Alba also knows how to cater to families. The breakfast each morning was a delicious spread, with something for everyone, from fresh fruits to local delicacies. The kids loved starting their days with a am amazing meal before we set out on our adventures. We loved ending our days in the gorgeous pool with greenery all around us. In short, Casa de Alba is a gem in Cartagena and the perfect choice for families looking to create lasting memories. We left with our hearts full and our minds already dreaming of our next visit.

This is a fantastic place to stay! The photos are all accurate and the staff is exceedingly friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Milton, Ivan, Sebastian and Christian. They ALL went out of the way to make our stay super enjoyable. They even brought me a birthday dessert with my breakfast and sang to me!! A wonderfully historic boutique hotel conveniently located in the heart of the Cento Histórico. If you have the chance, don’t hesitate to stay here. You will not be disappointed.

Stay here! I don't want you to miss out on one of the TOP things to experience in Columbia; hospitality and love. The thought and effort that they put into making our stay was absolutely above and beyond. Laura was ABSOLUTELY amazing. I had tears in my eyes when we had to check out. She made my wife feel the MOST SPECIAL, when she decorated our room and when we worked together to set everything up. If I am able to post the picturecI will. My Wife SCREAMED with JOY when she saw the details of the decorations. The rose petals were lined up and in perfect formation, not just tossed. We only stayed 3 nights, but it felt like we were there for much longer with the amount of time they would inform us about the city, or help us plan something. They sent us links, they suggested special spots, they helped us with reservations. They made us feel like family. Vanessa was right there to take over when Laura's shift was over. And she kept making sure everything was up to perfection. Thank You so Much Vanessa and Laura. We really feel so special. Carlos and Antonio, you both went above and beyond ALL of the time. I would ask them for coffee and random times and quite a bit, and the would run up to get me some. They wouldnt let me carry it back on my own, they would want to deliver it to my room. ABSOLUTELY outstanding. They wanted to do everything they could to provide us with the best service. And they served us with love and smiles at all times. I couldn't break their smile even if I tried. They really served us with full love and joy. And I asked them for at least 14 cups of coffee at random times during our stay. Leaving was the hardest part of our stay. There wasn't one standard moment. Everything was far above.|The room, ABSOLUTELY beautiful! Historic with beautiful local authentic decorations. From the second you knock on the door you can feel the history in the walls. The bed was soooo comfortable. Beautiful balcony view for breakfast. Listening to the thunderstorms in the room with the AC on(🤣)was such a beautiful experience. |YES! YES!! YES!!! ABOSULTELY stay here!!!!

Such a beautiful hotel right next to Plaza de Bolívar and the Museum of Cartagena de Indias. The ambiance transports you in time back to the colonial era. The service is unmatched and the rooms provide an escape from the busy streets.

The staff, breakfast & location were incredible. We stayed in a 3 bedroom unit. If I had to complain about something it would be the lighting in the upstairs bedroom’s. Big closet mirrors, but couldn’t see to do makeup or hair. I could not even tell the color of my shorts. Easy fix I’d think. With that being said, I would definitely stay there again!!!

Centrally located, staff over the top helpful, insightful, rooms beautiful, extremely clean, breakfast freshly made daily and snacks made fresh for you upon request! Breathtaking boutique style, comfortable beds and bedding. Nice dipping pool upon entry and on rooftop. Gorgeous balcony views, and keep look out for amazing wedding happening right across the street, they are straight out of your favorite telenovela.
