My stay here was amazing! This is a great place if you are wanting to be close to the national park and be near nature. The owners are great and very communicative. The room was great - large, with all the amenities mentioned. I loved that there was a common area for me to relax and read my book at night before going to bed. Also the breakfast was absolutely amazing! Authentic Costa Rican food, it was so delicious. I will absolutely be recommending this place to others!

This is an affordable place in the region. The vibe is somewhat like a hostel because of a central hang-out area that includes a hammock, lounge chairs, and a small pool. The breakfast are lovely and are a great time to see birds, including mot-mots. We stayed in a small, basic room for 4 that is part of the main lodge - probably not their nicest room. There are few options around for eating out in the evening. The owner offers a home cooked meal which, although tasty, is a little over-priced for what you get. But it served family-style with the other guests so creates a great opportunity to chat with others. This is a central place to stay to visit nearby waterfalls ($ waterfalls within Hacienda Guachepelin and free ones in the area - ask the owner).

Travelling as a family group of 12 we expected there might be some situations harder for the lodge to deal with... but no!|We had breakfast cooked by Maureen. The traditional breakfast was the BEST of the trip! Absolutely the best rice and beans I've had and the BEST, yes the BEST plantain ever! |And the suggestion for the local swimming spot was wonderful. Lodge is situated just 5 or 10 minutes from many of the tours offered in this area.||Thank you Maureen.

What a lovely place. Good rooms and beds. Beautiful garden. The Belgium owner does her utmost best to give you a welcome feeling. She cooks an amazing meal. The road to the property is somewhat challenging ;). So drive slow.

For anyone wanting to visit Liberia I would strongly recommend Casa de Campo. To start the owners and staff are wonderful people and I felt welcomed as soon as I checked in. The food was incredible and a quality mix of the culture of the place and of the owners. The room was cozy and private and the hotels proximity to beautiful nature spots such as the Leona Waterfall made the hotel overall cozy, convenient and a wonderful experience

We had a wonderful stay here for 4 nights in a container cabin. The owners were friendly and we enjoyed our meals. The dinner was very good. Some of the facilities are aging but nothing that detracted from our stay. Very charming and comfortable facilities, grounds and atmosphere. Our only suggestion would be for a signup sheet for meals posted at the reception area. The sounds of the forest are all you can hear; earplugs were helpful for us at night since we were not used to it. There was no a/c or Wi-Fi in the cabins, but we did not need it as we were outside during the day. We really enjoyed the experience, and would highly recommend if you are visiting Rincón de la Vieja and la Leona falls. The location was perfect with a rental car, and we’re glad we stayed here instead of the expensive adventure hotel nearby (Guachipelin?). We had a high clearance vehicle for the area which was nice to have for staying here.

Very nice personally run B&B with dinner option. You’ll easily get in contact with other people visiting the area and share stories during dinner or breakfast at the large tables. For the shower would like to have a bit more pressure but other than that rooms are fine. Location for trips to Rincon volcano and waterfall Leona is great.

I honestly loved that place!!! Super cosy and charming with wonderful details. A couple of Belgians run that place wonderfully well. I am vegetarian and they cooked really nice food for me. The parc where the rooms are is so pretty and I enjoyed the natural pool. The owner also helped me book a tour a La Leona.
