Casa de las Palmas Hostel

Nice and daily cleaned pool ist a contrast to the dirty and extremely stinky dog, who ist all around here, even in the kitchen and food area. Central location. Very nice Heladeria artisanale not far away!! Not secure enough. My food, swiss chocolate and more belongings have been stolen out of my private bag in the fridge! You cannot lock enough. The pool bar seems to be closed most of time. The reserved beds for my family are occupied . The two floor beds are not really safe for children because no fence in the second floor.

Nice hostel but absolutely no atmosphere to speak of. The pool was a huge plus, as were the hammocks. The guy behind the bar was pretty rude though. I would stay closer to town if I ever went back

I cannot recommend Casa de las Palmas Hostel highly enough to everyone travelling to Leticia. I can confidently say it was one of the best hostel experiences I've had. From the moment I arrived, the welcoming staff of Erick and Larson made me feel right at home. The owners Jota and Jose ensured I was always best taken care of in their hostel. Everyone makes it their duty to ensure that every day you spend with them is a perfect one. Their delicious complimentary breakfast is served up by the wonderful Celeste. The team were always ready to offer tips on how best to explore Leticia, whether it be for food or activities. Their warmth and hospitality truly made my stay memorable. I found a family with their team and felt right at home instantly. The hostel itself has a cosy atmosphere, with beautifully decorated common areas that encourage socialising. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. There is a great pool for swimming where I spent many days sunbathing. I appreciated the attention to detail, and the beds were comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a long day of exploring. The shared bathrooms were also kept in good condition, which is always a plus in hostels. The Hostel offers Amazon Experience Tours that I cannot recommend highly enough. There are translators provided. Jota hosted my Amazon Tour and made it the most unforgettable Experience one can have. Overall, Hostel Casa de las Palmas exceeded my expectations. If you're looking for a friendly, clean, and comfortable place to stay in Leticia, I highly recommend it! Thank you infinitely to my family in Leticia for welcoming me in, I'll love you always.

Place is okay but the people at the reception are so unfriendly. The volunteer was super rude, not at all welcoming which made me change my mind not to stay here. Dear owner, teach your staff/ volunteers to be welcoming and respectful.

Great Hostel, the staff was very friendly. The pool was a huge plus with these temperatures. The breakfast, two eggs with bread and coffe good but not that much. Rooms were comfortable and clean.

I liked the breakfasts and the cleanliness of this place. Many thanks to Erick and his hospitality, always ready to help. But I would have corrected the approach of coming to wipe the dust and brush the floors at 8:30 in the morning (it was my last day there, I was packing at that time), and the volunteer girl and her friend took my place during my breakfast when I went to the toilet, it was very strange and awkward, someone says it was rude since they saw my things lying there and did not say anything if they could join me. Next time I would choose another place to stay in Leticia.

Comfortable beds and hostel. There is a kitchen and a barbecue in the hostel but the owner doesn't permit the use of the kitchen stove or the barbecue to guests and is a bit arrogant about it, and the website doesn't mention this. Volunteer staff are generally nice but a female traveller I met here told me she faced an inappropriate interaction from one of the male staff. This is certainly not ok.

The three days tour to the amazone that we booked here was amazing! There were for example really cute monkeys that wanted to cuddle with us, which was just lovely. The tour had a pretty good price as well. The people in the hostel itself are really nice as well: they help you with different kind of questions. There is a PlayStation you can use, there are good electronic locks on the private doors, the kitchen is pretty good, there is a big garden and also a big pool etc. I'd recommend staying here.
