We walked in without a reservation on Sunday evening. Front desk was extremely helpful getting us the right room. Beautiful historic building. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom pretty and functional. I was a big fan of their shower gel.||Common areas are beautiful and functional for relaxation or working remotely.||Check out was extremely easy.||Great location for exploring the historic center and visit the beach.

If you are looking for ambiance, comfort, authenticity, and charm in an almost 500 year-old city, look no further than Casa de Leyendas, a refurbished Mexican style boutique hotel one block from the ocean and across the street from the art museum. Each of the 10 guest rooms is unique, decorated beautifully and named after persons and places emblematic to the history of the country. Breakfasts are delicious and included, prepared by Reyna and her staff in the very famous and attached Macaw's Restaurant, where you can also dine for lunch or dinner or just sip a cocktail with everyone's favorite bartender, Victor. Macaw's is actually quite a landmark in the centro histórico. It also features theme nights and seasonal music. The hotel has a library, a very comfortable wading pool, and a wonderful rooftop terrace where you can enjoy a spectacular sunset every night. Apart from manager, Fabiola, another big plus is that the hotel's owners, Nathan and Missy, are often present and very invested in making sure their guests' stays are comfortable and memorable. If you are not interested in a crowded tourist resort, check out this great property. I promise, you won't be sorry. |

Fantastic stay! The hospitality and professionalism from all the workers made the stay comfortable and exciting. The receptionists-Veronica & Dany- were fantastic! They answered our questions, and gave recommendations for local cuisine and street food. The location is wonderful for those who like to walk to explore the city and have easy nearby access to most tourist sites -Malecon, Plaza Macheo, Observatorio (a bit longer walk), beaches, art museum, restaurants and local shops. There was a restaurant next door to the B&B and plenty of eating options for any budget within walking distance. Breakfast was delicious. They also had OXXO store nearby. We had the Deluxe Junior Suite and it had plenty of space for 3. The beds were comfortable, the towels were high quality, and the decor showcased the beauty of Mazatlan culture. The balconies were a wonderful way to relax and see the city. They had a space with a large table and dining room like area for people to read books, to watch TV, play games, and socialize. They had filtered water available which was fantastic as the temps were hot and humid in the afternoon and evenings. My family felt safe the entire time walking around the city and Malecon as many local residents were out late at night socializing and enjoying their families and friends. Would definitely stay again!

We only had one night here between other longer stays but we absolutely loved Casa de Leyendas and look forward to returning. Our room was cozy, the beds and pillows comfortable, and we appreciated a refer in the room. We loved that there were numerous places indoors and out to sit. The rooftop allows a peek at the ocean. The place was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. And a yummy breakfast off a menu was included!

What a little hidden treasure in histórico Mazatlan. Great romantic getaway for our anniversary. Beautiful, quaint casa with so much character and ambiance. Staff were lovely, rooms were awesome, well equipped and very clean. Walking distance to Plaza Machada for dinner.

This was an adorable boutique hotel less than a block from the ocean. The service and staff attentiveness, in my experience, were unmatched. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, for a number of reasons, to include the restaurant next door, “Macaw’s”, the free morning breakfast, and the easy-going atmosphere. The hotel staff, the hotel owner, and the restaurant patrons exuded a real “community feel”, and I appreciated that as a solo traveler, I will definitely return!

This charming small hotel is a delightful find! The location is one block from the malecon and the ocean, in walking distance to the cathedral, markets, fabulous restaurants, and with museums nearby. The rooms are charming and very clean. A full delicious breakfast with several choices is included to be enjoyed in the courtyard and there are several rooftop balconies to relax on with a margarita from the downstairs bar/restaurant. And the owners are simply marvelous. They helped us with dog-sitting, medical problems - complete with calling an ambulance, calling ubers (Didis in Mexico ) for us. They provided absolutely personal, caring and friendly help and are truly wonderful people. If you are looking for an authentic, relaxing, delightful and personal experience in Mazatlán, this is the place. We hugged the wonderful staff members when we left.

The people make the place! We have stayed here twice in the last few years and are never disappointed. The staff feel like family. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. it's in the perfect location-close to restaurants, events, stores and the beach. The rooms are comfortable but could use a little updating but I wouldn't stay anywhere else when in Mazatlan.

Yelp
If you are going to Mazatlan this is a perfect place. Small, attentive service, on coast and in old town - beautiful old building with tiles and arches and great balconies and terrance's. Delicious free breakfast - pool. My daughter and zI were there for 5 nights- we loved it.

Yelp
I stayed here 7/2/21 for two nights and was very pleased with my stay. The hotel is under new management and they're doing a very good job. I've stayed here under the old management and it was excellent (thanks Nate!) and I was happy to see the hotel run with the same high standards. The room was very comfortable and the included breakfast in the courtyard was great. Super location for many amazing restaurants and only one block from the ocean. I was traveling with my little buddy Elliot (my cat) and the hotel staff was happy to welcome him, too. Good news for people traveling with their four legged family.

Yelp
Our "home away from home" in Mazatlán. A very special little boutique B and B, beautifully appointed with tasteful Mexican handcrafts and artwork, just a block from the beach and malecon in a quiet charming restored neighborhood in old Mazatlán. The staff is very friendly and outgoing and seems genuinely committed to ensuring all your needs are met and that you are comfortable and having a good time. The food is delicious and everything is clean and well maintained. There are even two pet iguanas that wander the balconies. We are very comfortable here. Our dogs are happy here too!

Yelp
Lovely boutique hotel in the historic "Centro" district of Mazatlan. A block to the beach, and lovely walking distance to museums, cathedral, shopping, outdoor market, and more. The rooms are authentic Mexico and absolutely charming. I think there are only 7 rooms, and each is unique, large, and lovely. The bathrooms are incredible! Lovely courtyard with "splash pool", cozy reading room, rooftop deck with a breathtaking view of the ocean. The rates are incredibly reasonable. Breakfast is included and the food is yummy. American, Canadian, and Mexican cuisine served in the fun bar/restaurant, "Macaws". Owners Missy and Nathan are hands on and genuinely interested in their guests. Nathan arranged a day of golf for us at a gorgeous course on nearby "Shell Island". I highly recommend this charming town and this amazing gem of a Bed and Breakfast!

Yelp
Great stay for our spring break with our college age daughters. Comfortable rooms, great staff, delicious food. Great value even for 2 rooms. Located 1/2 block from the Playa Sur and in Centro district. Enjoyed the margaritas and ceviche! Welcoming host/owners! Thanks for a wonderful week!

Yelp
Small boutique hotel near the Malecon and Plazuela Machado. Very friendly staff. Small but nice rooms. Included breakfast in the courtyard. We like this location because it is very close to some of our favorite restaurants including Waters Edge, El Presidio, Hector's Bistro and Topelo. The streets are normally very quiet here but our stay was marred by extensive and very loud road construction right in front of the hotel. I would avoid staying here until after the end of March 2018.

Yelp
Second time staying at this little gem of a hotel in Centro area of downtown Mazatlán. Located one block to the Malecon an maybe 3-4 blocks to Plaza Machado the scenic location can't be beat for access to fine restaurants, shopping, music and museums. Great breakfast served daily in their courtyard, and there's a wonderful bar that also serves very good meals. Also on premise is a well stocked wine, liquor and cigar shop. All of the previous mentioned street construction has been completed for the entire neighborhood and is a tremendous improvement, especially at night when navigating the now we'll lit and hazard free sidewalks and streets. Most of all, the owners and staff are, I think, the most friendly, helpful and attentive that I've ever experienced in all my travels. I feel like I'm family when I stay here. Two big thumbs up for Casa da Leyendas! I shall return....
