Casa de Mainha Friendly Hostel

Friendly environment! Owner "Isinha" always prompt to help making our experience as pleasant as possible! Accommodations very neat and comfortable! I highly recommend Casa de Mainha! The place is located at local neighborhood which gave us a better idea what it looks like to live in Salvador! What a great time we had! I can't wait to come back again!

I stayed in Salvador over a week for the world cup and I enjoyed my stay so much. Not just because the apartment itself feels like a home away from and is more a shared apartment than a hostel but mainly because everybody took great care of us. Isadorinha and Mocinha were fantastic problemsolver and went out with us, showed us around and were great friends to hang out with. The location is not directly at the main tourist spots but easy to get there which also means that you have a more local and real experience. I would always go back and highly recommend staying there.

This place surprised me in a good way. It is clean and comfortable. Iza is very friendly. There are not very crowdy. When I was there, there were only 5 people. I felt there like home.||The huge plus was that it is alowed to use washing machine.||I highly recommend it.

I had super experience at Casa de Mainha, the host, Isadora is really nice, she can answer any questions you have and help you get around the city. You are really close to the city historical center and we were at a walking distance to the stadium which was really nice during the world cup. We had the chances to feel the nightlife, go to beaches, and do all sorts of things with the hosts and their friends. I went there by myself but I never was alone, always had someone at the hostel to do activities! I met some amazing people and I would definitely go back there!

I went to Salvador in July for the World Cup. I didn't know where to stay until a few days before and asked the ownders a million questions before picking Casa de Mainha... I'm glad I did! The owners are awesome, and will help you with anything you need to know about the city, and the location is easy for getting buses, taxis, groceries. Cool people seem to stay there, so you're pretty likely to find other guests looking to explore the city. So in the end, it was liking having a home in Salvador with friends. I definitely recommend it, and will hopefully be back soon!

First of all I want to thanks owner of hostel - Isa, she let me stay one night even hostel was full (I slept in hammock). Isa is very friendly, helpful, always ready to give good advice or just talk.||Hostel itself very comfortable, clean and cozy. Located in the good area, not so noisy as touristic places and close to the bus station.||I will definitely recommend it!

Staying at Casa de Mainha is like staying in a shared house with your friends. It´s very comfortable in every way. The owners are excellent and love to share time with their guests, if you´re lucky they may give you a tour or take you out! I definitely reccommend a stay here to meet cool people and enjoy Salvador.
