The botana was very good, especially the beef. We ordered the tierra and mar platter for four. It was humongous and could've easily fed 6 adults. The service was good and we really enjoyed our time here.

This place is always bumping... Even when it's packed, the wait is never long. Food is tremendous and the whole staff is awesome. Botanas are off the chain and so is everything else on the menu. Today I went with their chicken fried steak and fries .. YUMMY!!!

Both times that I have dined here were good experiences. This restaurant seems to be well liked by local folks. The staff is friendly, the menu is interesting, the prices are right, and the servings are ample. I don't think that you will be disappointed.

Ordered four botanas for our Christmas luncheon. The sea food botana was outstanding. The marisco soup was full of plump cod fish marinating in a flavorful fish stock. The botana itself was piled high with fish fillets and fajitas like I haven’t seen in some time. It was an absolute feast! Well done Casa de Marisco!

Been coming here for many years and always good!! Huge Portions and equivalent value $$.. Will continue to come!! All the botanas and mariscada can easily feed 2+ people than what they are labeled for and still take home leftovers.. Thank you CdM for keeping up the great food and service. Will be back soon..

The tacos are good but they were missing something calaca is still number one for my fish tacos. LIGHThouse number 2 because they can make it grilled and this establishment would be number 3 .The fish just needed more flavor was better than baja boy and I got 3 tacos instead of 2 for 12.99 .

Plentifull & heaping plates of food. All choices goriously yummy. Service is superbly attentive. Atmosphere is quite pleasant for so many customers and enjoyable music voices. Highly recommend! We will keep joyfully eating here...

The fish tacos are super delicious, they are my go to plate. The service is mostly fast and friendly for small groups on a Friday. The ambiance in nautical and up to date with a touch of Latin music.

The food is plentiful, the food is excellent imo, the staff is above and beyond, parking close is a problem however there is a shopping center a block away and that takes a lot of stress out of parking ( full size dually ). I will Say the seafood soup is now on the top of my list I get the large bowl 18 dollars and take almost half home, my wife gets the botana for 1 and it's really for 2 for 2 days and it's as good as anywhere else.

Service was very prompt and food was delicious. Hand's down one of the best Botanas I've ever had. Parking can be an issue but seating inside is plentiful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

The food is just all right. I asked for mayonnaise and they had to go ask the manager and the manager said I couldn't have any because the burger restaurant across the street is apparently owned by the same family and if they gave me mayonnaise, that would be a conflict of interest. And they'd be competing with the restaurant across the street if they gave me mayonnaise.

What can I say about this place. We it, love the food portions, love the music they play, service is great and always on top of it. This visit we had the enchiladas and the Carne guisada and was pleasantly surprised how good it was. When ever we visit the Valley this is the place I ask my husband to take me to.

I do not recommend this place if you're trying to lose weight! The best botanas in town. Some would argue in the valley.

Got a recommendation for this place and they weren't wrong. Excellent food. We both got a fajita platter and the meat was nice and tender. Really nice portions and courteous staff. It is on the pricy side so not an every day place, but well worth the cost.

This place never disappoints. The food is always delicious and well served. Service is always on point as well. Be sure to have a bit of a wait since this place tends to always be busy for good reason.

Come Hungry! The portion sizes are big and for a good price. I gave this place a four star instead of a five just because of the parking lot being so small. The food on the other hand was very sabroso! Thank you Carlos and the Chefs for making the food so delish! We will definitely return! One of my favorite places to stop and eat when visiting The Valley from San Antonio! My wife is from Weslaco and am so glad she introduced me! We've been coming here 12 years and the food is consistently delicious, service is fantastic and the restaurant is always clean! Botana for 2!!!

Yes! Yes! Yes! This is a "don't judge a book by its cover" type of place. A place that may not be creative as a location, however their menu makes up for it. Plates are massive!! I am not kidding, massive. We have tried enchiladas, botanas, caldos, panchos, are in huge servings and delicious.

Very nice place to eat. Food was very well prepared. Margaritas look tasty! Green enchilada sauce had an amazing taste.

This place is humble and very delicious. The portions are very large. The chips were crispy and the salsa was spicy enough for me to only eat one or two before taking a break. Admittedly, I am a spice "weenie". The house Margarita was good. I got the Chicken Tacos. They were very large. I'm not sure if the chicken was canned or if it was merely stewed and finely shredded. It was flavorful. It came with refried beans and rice. I thought the beans needed salt. Hubby got Veracruzanos De Chicken Fajita. It came with some fried shrimp, French Fries, Texas Toast and of course Seasoned Chicken. All very delicious. Both meals came with a cup of soup. I got Vegetable soup and hubby got a Fish soup with large pieces of fish. The wait Staff was very attentive and answers all of our questions. A fellow with a guitar rolled in. He sang and played a few song for tips. The big seller here is the Botana! This dish is insane! Huge! Enough to feed a few people. And that's the small one! I recommend this restaurant!

OMG the Botana for 2 with mixed chicken and Fajita beef was amazing there was so much food it could have fed 4 people. All the meat was moist the veggies on the side were fresh the tortilla were warm and made with care. I only wish this restaurant was 300 miles closer to home. Maria our server was friendly, polite and quick to refill a drink. The whole place felt clean and mad props to the staff here masks and gloves throughout the time we sat here I never saw anyone remove or wear any improperly We also tried the chorizo queso as an app it had just the right mix of melted and burnt cheese with flavorful chorizo.

Had been here about a year ago and decided to try it again. As we walked in the restaurant had a strange smell not sure if it was the carpet or something. We got sat instantly. Or waiter was very nice and attentive to take or order since he figured it was out lunch break. They have daily specials which is always a plus. From when we ordered our food to when we got served it took approximately 10mins which to me was fast. I had the flauta plate, good flavor and very filling. Some of their prices are a bit high in my opinion. Overall good lunch.

Oh, what I would give for a mixed botana platter with fajita and seafood. Living out in Louisiana has got me missing all that the valley has to offer including one of my favorite restaurants, Casa de Marisco. My family and I drive out from McAllen to eat dinner here because of how affordable the platter is (how TENDER the meats are) and the delicious seafood soup. Of course, the salsa and pico de gallo is perfectly spicy. You wanna know how special this place is? I visit home maybe 1-2 times a year and the day I visit home my parents take me here. This is a family run business and it's heartwarming to see the number of families who share their meals here. Few things are better in the food world than seeing a local star get the support they deserve.

You need to order a botana if you come here! A botana for 2 people can feed about 3 or 4 people! one my of family's favorite place to eat on a Sunday or when we don't know what to eat because the botana includes seafood and meat!

Never had a bad experience, more so of an okay experience. Food is usually very good and flavorful, the portions are well sized as well. Definitely recommend if you do not mind a loud location, it can get very packed during peak hours.

The botanas are bomb... a little over prized but it's worth it. The Caldos are super awesome when's it cold weather.

Food and service are both first class. Large variety of seafood along with tacos, tostadas, etc. Highly recommend the red snapper and the Carne Grenada. They bring red salsa with is very good but if you like hotter try their verde. If you order a non seafood item you get vegetable soup which is nicely done. Seafood items come with fish soup which is outstanding. Our server, Angelica, was attentive and did a great job. Manager came by to check on our table and made us feel very welcome.

First time here, we came because of the reviews. Good luck finding a parking space. For 2pm on a Saturday it was packed, but we took it as a good sign. Welcoming staff and we did not wait long for a table. The waiter was on point, and courteous. The portions are ridiculous and the lemonade is fresh. The ceviche was ok, nothing to rave about. The shrimp tacos were fresh and well seasoned. The fried fish and shrimp platter can easily feed 2 people.

Popular with the locals and winter Texans and packed on Friday night! I don't care much for the gloomy atmosphere (cinder block walls, greasy, folding tables and chairs, lots of people coming and going) but the service is attentive, the food is alright and the portions are MASSIVE. The prices are higher than one would expect given the facility, but then the portions are twice as big too. On this trip we split the botana for one which consisted of fried corn tortilla halves topped with refried beans and cheese topped with a huge pile of beef fajita meat and crowned with a cheese-filled corn tortilla. It came with a small plate of rice (LOVED the rice) and a small plate of chopped tomatoes, onions and guacamole. The beef fajita meat was tender and tasted good, but the rice was even better. There was enough food left over for us both to have another meal. We each had the limonada (a little too sweet, but okay) and the portions on those were huge as well. A lot of places charge for refills on homemade limonada but they didn't. The waiter even brought us to-go cups for our drinks which was appreciated. It looks like they do quite a takeout business too because all throughout our visit people were picking up very large orders that appeared to be for events. The parking lot is small and gets packed, but there is extra parking across the street at Salazar's Burgers.

Omg I don't know where to start but for the price and the amount if food you get you can't go wrong with eating the best Mexican food this city can offer. Go for the botanas

Been here before for fried shrimp, ughhh. Saw they had flounder and thought I might get it lightly grilled, preserve the light, delicate flavor. My waiter suggested Veracruz and WOW! The flavor of the Flounder was amazing. The restaurant is ild, but very clean and a greet wait staff. The "manager" Lorenzo came by to ask if everything was right. Something I've never seen in the Valley. Price was extremely reasonable. Yes I'm from Houston, so..

Where to start..... Being from Alabama I had no idea what in the world Botanas is. I was here in McAllen working and was told by everyone that I had to have it while I was here. A friend invited me here and assured me this place was the best place to get it. He was not wrong! I am a fan for life and will be coming back here as soon as my job sends me back. The meat is tender and seasoned perfectly. Stop what you are doing and go here if you are in the area. If you come by here take time out of whatever you are doing and come here.

Best botanas in the valley. Hands down. Hoping they relocate or renovate soon as parking gets hectic and the inside needs work. But that doesn't matter, food is delicious! Great staff

On our second visit I have had to downgrade my opinion. Had stuffed crab which was all bread stufffing and no crab, not even crab flavor. DH had Caldo de Mariscos but it had none of the flavor of the soup I had on the previous visit. In addition, the service was less than friendly.

Delicious botanas at a fair price. We called ahead for faster service. Wish the botana had flautas besides fajitas and quesadillas, but the fajitas were tender and smoky

Favorite place to eat in Weslaco. Mostly always order the botana even for 1 it feeds like 5 ppl but doesn't come w rice n beans unless you order for 2 or above. The caldos are delicious as well! Everything is delicious and staff is always very attentive!

This place has good wait staff but the quality of the food has gone down tremendously! We ordered 2 botanas for 2 tables. We ordered the surf and turf (fish and meats). They totally skimped out on the cheese. Gave us way too many fish sticks. Beef and chicken was sadly even less. And it was embarrassing that they gave us what looked to be an entire bag of fries to cover the fact that they didn't put enough meats and cheese. It is really sad to see that they are trying to deceive ppl like this when the food is super expensive! I don't think we'll be going there again and e go there often with big groups.

This is a small local place apparently that's been here for many years! I must say it surprised me! The food is amazing and very very well served as far as in the amount of food! The portions are large and the authenticity of the food is on point! They have monthly specials and affordably priced! My new found favorite fish/seafood joint!

A must when we come to the valley is a botana. For many years we had been going to this nearby restaurant for our mandatory botana when in the valley. Today I felt like trying something different, new and found this restaurant on yelp. It's nothing fancy in fact they have white Costco chairs but the staff is very attentive and the food was delicious. The beef was quite tender and the rice according to my wife, who does not like Mexican rice per se, said it was one of the best she's had in a long time. We ordered the botana for one at $18.95 and it could have on honestly fed four moderate eating people. We stuffed ourselves and barely finished half of it. The great thing about coming to the valley is that you can find all kinds of restaurants. There are Mexican restaurants or Mexican restaurants or if you want something else you can always have Mexican restaurants. So if you're looking for one of those unique Mexican restaurants in the valley I do recommend this place.

Fathers Day Sunday. Parking lot over flooring but still got seated quickly. Excellent seafood and big portions. Our food was very good.

The botanas never fail! Every time I'm in the valley I have to get one, highly recommend.

Botana was fire. Chips were crunchy. Meat was tender. Cheese was melted. Beans were yummy. Onions and bell peppers were grilled to perfection

Our single visit was interesting and definitely fun. Service was quite good given that we were there on a Saturday evening. We enjoyed the boisterous mariachi band as it really got the whole place moving. Our problem was with the food. We are not accustomed to such greasy food. Portions are beyond ridiculously oversized as our platter was enough to feed an army and most of it had to be brought home. The cost was rather high. But talk about fattening! This food may go down easily enough if you're starving but you won't want to get on the scale for a month...everything was dripping with oil and cheese, not a lot of beef or chicken. We've not been comfortable with the idea of returning as it's just not healthful fare.

They have good service, but I didn't like some of there food. I would go back for their fish, but on the other food. If you want good tacos, go to Janie's Cafe.
