A superb hotel!! We loved our stay here for many reasons. Firstly, it was spotlessly clean and also our room was spacious and it had lovely decor. The air con was really needed too, as the temperatures were 30 plus. Breakfast was excellent too - we loved the fresh fruit and the scrambled eggs. The staff were professional and helpful. It is a far better hotel than some more expensive ones we’ve stayed in. Would definitely recommend 😁

Wonderful stay here at Casa de Sao Mamede. The staff were amazing, very helpful and accommodating. The building and rooms are extremely clean, it has a beautiful charm. Breakfast was also perfect with a wide selection. Location wise, perfect for us (couple in our 30s) - 5 mins walking to many nice wine bars, restaurants and cafes. Fourth time in Lisbon - we’ll stay here again. Thanks!

We had a great time at the hotel. The breakfast was plentiful and the staff was excellent. It's walking distance from the nearest underground stop. Some reviews mentioned noise, but we had no problems sleeping. Our room was on the first floor by the side road. It was my birthday and they made the time extra special so I have nothing but good things to say about the place. The room was as described, and the bathroom was clean and tidy. I'd definitely stay here again. Recommended.

Really beautiful and spacious room and bathroom with great attention to detail. Nice to have fridge in room too. Very friendly reception staff. Breakfast was good but not exceptional. Really convenient for central Lisbon and good transport links. Would recommend.

Excellent hotel near the centre with bus and metro connections very nearby. The staff were all very helpful, and the breakfast was 5*. The room was a good size, and the room service was remarkably efficient. Thanks for the long weekend stay, we enjoyed our time with you!

We are a small family of 3 and stayed recently in the Casa de Sao Mamede Hotel for the second time. It was so lovely to be back!! We appreciate the welcoming and helpful staff, nice breakfast and truly atmospheric hotel rooms. The price is very fair. If you wish a personalised "home from home" in Lisbon in a good location (not far to go anywhere) - this small and beautiful hotel is highly recommended!

The Good: Old fashioned hotel (real keys!) with traditional and well appointed rooms (we had 106). Very comfortable bed (2 nights). Location slightly noisy due to being on a main road, but windows are helping (when closed). Efficient A/C. Friendly staff and diligent cleaners. The Mediocre: Breakfast is a bit meh, but the room one has it in offers a view on the streetscape outside due to being on the first floor (see picture 3). Coffee is just about drinkable. Selection of very dry and stale pastries (note to Management: don't bother serving these if you can't offer fresh goods) Summary: Great little hotel for a bit of a nostalgic 1940s feel, right in Principe Reais. Recommended. (22/06/2025)

A super friendly little hotel, immaculately presented and super clean. Helpful staff and with a warm welcome. Great restaurants nearby and way to access tram & metro lines too! Thank you

Yelp
What a wonderful hotel! Staff is very friendly and always at the front desk. The breakfast was very good with a variety of meats and cheeses, bread, coffee and dessert. The room was very comfortable, beautifully decorated and easy to adjust the temperature. It is in the heart of Lisbon so we walked to everything in the area. A lot of shopping, restaurants and museums and churches in walking distance. A 15 minute walk to the train and about 20 minutes to the airport. Highly recommend this clean, convenient and comfortable hotel.

Yelp
I've stayed here multiple times and i cannot stress this enough: this is the best hotel for someone who loves something different, with a classic look and a luxurious feel. I've read some critics talking about the fact that it doesn't have an elevator for example but upon asking the staff they told me that the city of lisbon doesn't permit changes in the house structure due to the fact that its historic heritage and as so it must be preserved... But i digress. To sum up its a great hotel for someone who is tired of this "modern hotels" or just likes the classical style of this one.
