A Guide to Venice’s Islands, From Burano to Lido | Condé Nast Traveler
"On Giudecca, Casa dei Tre Oci is an elegant neo-Gothic art gallery where I found first-class photography exhibitions and a quieter cultural alternative to the main island's busier museums." - Jenn Rice
We went to see the Garden of the Redentore and we decided to walk a little further to the Casa dei Tre Oci. There was a beautiful free exhibition inside and we also enjoyed such a great Venetian palace. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the Giudecca.

This photography museum situated on the water on the island of Giudecca is a real gem with perfectly curated exhibitions, that we have visited over the years, most recently a retrospective on the Swiss-born photographer Sabine Weiss. Her production spans over a wide series of topics from the poor in Paris to contributions to Vogue and other high profile women's magazines as well as portraits of who is who in the Parisian theatre and artist world. A must for anyone with the faintest interest in photography.

I don't know if this place is worth five stars at Google Maps. But the Mario De Biasi exhibition I visited there in September 2021 was definitely worth more than five. Great photos, a wonderful experience. I enjoyed every single moment there.

A must-see for everyone. The Sabine Weiss exhibition was beautiful, humourous and moving, all in a spectacular gallery space with an incredible view. I look forward to my next visit!

Very nice building, although you won't see much of the old style inside, you'll find a great exposition on the epoca magazine and one of his star reporter, with pictures from around the world, I loved it!

Excellent artworks in a very unfriendly place! We arrived one hour before closing time and we had to beg the very rude guard to enter! After some conversation he agreed to let us in but he behaved very rudely and he almost kicked us away ten minutes before closing time. The entrance fee was extremely expensive, 13€ and some of the prints were covered in order to protect them from the sunlight, instead of just covering the windows. The whole experience was very disappointing although the photos are excellent.

A wonderful photographic gallery on Giudecca Island. If you are into photography, this is well worth a visit.
Ferry tickets can be bought at a terminal near St.Mark's square. Leave the square, head to the big canal. Turn left, go over two bridges, past the statue with the horse and you are there.
