"This tiny café serves up some of Mexico City’s tastiest breakfasts alongside impeccable coffee. A year and a half out from its opening, it was the first place in town to offer Japanese-siphon-extracted brews. They’re also into methods like dipper and French press; choose from Veracruz, Oaxaca or Chiapas varieties, and even take home some beans. Naturally, with the joe at this level, there’s got to be breakfast of equal caliber; the beet hummus (with poached egg) and the berry French toast are current faves. That said, the menu never, ever bores."

Wow! Wonderful breakfast and coffee here. The presentation of the plated food was beautiful and it was just as tasty. The service was attentive and friendly and I was given a coffee recommendation based on my taste preferences. I loved the mixed greens, as well.

This small cafe is hands down my favorite spot In the city. The craftsmanship, attention to detail and quality truly standout especially for a small cafe. I must stop when visiting CDMX.

Coffee is amazing .. I normally add sugar because I always find coffee bitter but I didn’t add to my cappuccino which says a lot ! Pricing is expensive for Mexico overall but not for this area, average price if you come from American city - if you want to compare . Food is delicious too.. this tomato plate was surprisingly amazing .. my husband order it and I was like.. a tomato? But it’s filled with delicious cheese and honestly so so flavorful

I wonder why I hadn't posted about this place. Perhaps I just wanted it all by myself and didn't want more people coming on weekends and increase the waiting time. ANYWAY. I love Casa del Fuego. This is the place I take people who visit me for breakfast. Coffee is not my thing (i'm happy with a regular latte), but if it is your thing, this is even more the place you need to visit. They are SERIOUS about their coffee: sources and technique. Now, the food: great salmon bagels, great avo toast and a must-try filled tomato. I'm sure you'll hear about their secret menu: caramelized banana french toast or the rum&pear toast. Try both and thank me later. The only downside: waiting to get a table and waiting even more to get served. Service is SLOW (but worth the wait).

Food was great and presentation was beautiful. Our waiter, Nano, was very helpful and spoke English. Most of the seating is outside. Pricing is a little high, but the value was there. 2024 update: still great. Salmon Benedict was 10/10. Avocado toast 7/10... the overly thick toast was the weak link, overwhelming the dish. The dish would be excellent with a different bread choice that is more proportional.

Very high quality food and coffee. The beet hummus bread had insane texture and excellent flavors!

I'm going to be generous on this review because the coffee was so well made. I ordered a mocha, and it was served at the perfect temp with a fancy pour. The real chocolate with hints of cinnamon were perfectly blended. The only problem was it took almost thirty minutes to get the drink, and at the time of writing this, I still have received my food. The reason for this is the environment. This shop is basically a shoe box and it feels like it's trying to do too much. Stuffed with top end gear, pop culture items, coffee making equipment, and a small kitchen, there isn't much room for staffing, so it's capacity at busier times seems to outweigh it's ability to deliver. There is plenty of seating outside with only five seats inside, but it's just too much for only two people making specialty coffee.

Great coffee and service! The baristas are knowledgeable in their craft and very friendly. They take the time to answer your questions and help find the best drink for you. Try a flat white ☕️

Yelp
Casa del Fuego is located in a very nice area. The seating inside felt like I was in South Korea. It was a very nice ambience. The service was very nice. They do speak Spanish so you have to know Spanish. They were happy to take my order as a beginner Spanish speaker. I got the grapefruit juice and the French toast with the fruit on it. Along with affogato. The French toast was immaculate. It was the best French toast I've ever had in my life. It was nice and fluffy. The syrup was perfect. Everything was balanced tasting. The fruit was very fresh tasted so good. The grapefruit juice was the best grapefruit juice I ever had in my life! Very refreshing I wish I got more while I was there. Everything is cooked freshly. The affogato was interesting, it was my first time having one and I didn't realize espresso tasted that strong. However, the ice cream in it was so good. I ate all the ice cream in it. I had an amazing experience. It was rainy, but it was such a beautiful vibe inside, listening to the rain in the soft music. Everything was like a dream come true it was walking distance from our hotel.

Yelp
Been here twice now and it's a nice casual breakfast spot. Jake Gyllenhaal visiting back in 2019 is what influenced me to try this place out! Celebrities and their power, you know? I cannot say I was disappointed with my experience. The honeycomb coffee is definitely unique. The maple breakfast bagel sandwich was satisfying with its touch of sweetness. My uncle said the eggs benedict were the best he's had and he gets them everywhere they're on the menu. He's quite the fan. The iced coffee did have a little too much milk for my taste but it was good nonetheless once it was really stirred up. Complimentary glasses of water were also nice to have in a place where it's usually served in a plastic bottle.

Yelp
Chingon. Comida chingona Café chingon, servicio chingon El ambiente está súper y el servicio es superior. Se nota que importante para ellos proveer de la mejor comida y tienen conocimiento de los ingredientes de cada platillo. Los bagels de guayaba fueron mis favoritos!

Yelp
A nice spot to grab breakfast, since it's small it may take a while for you to get seated but I do think it was worth the wait. I had a latte and the berries french toast. Service was friendly

Yelp
The coffee here is made with care; it's worth a trip for that alone. The food overall was okay. While it was prepared with care as well, with a variety of non-conventional options and nice touches, a few points took away from the magic: -store-bought salad dressing (instead of something made in-house, or simply vinegar and oil) -butter that had an artificial butter flavor additive It might still be enjoyable for eaters less picky.

Yelp
This coffeeshop/cafe is in a cute and quiet neighborhood, and is clearly popular with the locals. It doesn't have a lot of seating, about 5-6 spots at the counter and 7-8 outdoor sidewalk tables, so we did have to wait about 20 minutes for a table on a weekday morning. It was totally worth it, we got some excellent lattes. I had the beet hummus with poached eggs and toast, and it was delightful, among my most memorable meals in Mexico City.

Yelp
My sister and I were on our way to the airport and stopped by for a light breakfast. We were in a little bit of a hurry and politely asked for our drinks a little faster than usual. The service staff was very rude and mocking of "Americans demanding their food first" attitude. Doesn't seem like a way to treat visitors! A black drip coffee and latte took 22 minutes and the food was just mediocre fare. Wouldn't return based on the attitude and over priced cafe food - there are plenty of other places in Condensa to check out and spend my "American dollars".
