At the beginning of the tour, they explain the history of jade and its significance to ancient civilizations, as well as its importance to Guatemala. At the end, they gave me a small souvenir. The guides and staff are very friendly, and the shop offers beautiful products at very reasonable prices. The decor creates an artistic and welcoming atmosphere, also perfect for taking great photos.

Extremely neat place. My girlfriend went in looking for jade jewelry and I was pleasantly surprised to see such a nice museum section as well. Not only a good spot to buy high quality jade products, has a great museum section dedicated to jade history. Me being a history enthusiast I loved reading about the Mayan history and seeing Mayan dress ware, jade masks, etc.

I came here for the museum and it was pretty interesting. There are a lot of old artifacts and it is cool to see the history of jade in this country. In terms of the jewelry, I didn't really find anything I thought was worth.

Carmencita was a wonderful patient teacher. Mi first experience. I loved the workshop, I highly recommend it. Was looking to talk with Jerry, but they told me that he doesn't come often. I am nephew of Enio & Vacky Dominguez. Just wanted to say hi! I purchased a black jade ring back on 1991, Jerry told me I can bring it any time to get clean and polish. Unfortunately stone has a crack now, bummer. Don't know what is the price to replace black Jade. Please contact me if you can fix it. I am in Antigua until Saturday July 19. Thank you! This was the first activity on our trip and we started off with a bang! My husband and I decided to make pieces for each other. The staff was so informative and helpful. The tour through the museum felt so welcoming. We went through the jewelry store treated like VIPs and finished off with the class on jade carving. We had so much fun with our group and got to walk away with special souvenirs we will treasure for ever.

I had a wonderful time making a jade keychain today! Even though I messed up the heart shape twice, Elmer and Carmelita were so happy to help me. The staff are all very friendly and kind. I highly recommend the jade making workshop!

Long story short: my husband purchased three pieces of jewelry, and two of them broke within a week of wearing them. We were told that any repairs or adjustments would be done for free—likely a promise they made because we’re foreigners (little did they know we visit every few months). One of the items, a bracelet gifted to my mother-in-law, needed to be resized. They tried to charge her $50 USD for the adjustment, despite their earlier promise. After a lot of back-and-forth over email, they eventually agreed to fix it. The second issue was with my ring—the gem completely fell off less than a month after purchase. I went in and explained how disappointed I was, especially since I was told the gem would “never come off.” The gentleman said they’d fix it by assembling it differently. Two hours later, I returned only to find they had simply glued it back on and added polish to make it look “shinier.” It looked messy, felt scratchy, and clearly wasn’t properly repaired. They asked me to wait even longer to speak with someone else. Bottom line: they are extremely overpriced, and the quality does not match the cost. I do NOT recommend them. I now have a ring I can’t even wear—very disappointing.

The jewelry here are so beautiful and authentic! I bought some amazing pieces of jewelry, and I’m so happy with them! Also the person who was helping me choose the jewelry it was so nice and patient with me, and answered all the questions about the jewelry! Thank you so much for your big help! I’m really recommending Casa Jade to anyone who wants authentic jewelry!
