"Located a short stroll from San Miguel de Allende’s most famous landmark, La Parroquia, the intimate five-room Casa Delphine is an ideal base for guests who want to work, learn, and play. A spacious lounge area and communal table double as your office, and happy hour is celebrated with rooftop mezcal tastings. When dreaming up her hotel’s new Sabbatical Sessions offering, Amanda Keidan, the Los Angeles jewelry designer behind Casa Delphine, thought about what she’s always wanted to learn on vacation but never had time for: ceramics, textile dying, painting, weaving. The new package starts at a bargain of $700 for a seven-day stay and is completely customizable. For an extra cost, Keidan’s team can arrange everything from Spanish classes to huichol beading workshops throughout the week. (from $700 for a seven-day stay)" - Jen Murphy

"Why did this hotel catch your attention? What's the vibe? The gorgeous wrought iron railings set against the flat white of the exteriors, and the arched doorway of the entrance, all felt so minimalist, yet in a warm, welcoming way. You turn down this almost hidden cobblestone street, away from the buzz of the city, and the tranquility of this little corner takes you by surprise. What's the backstory? Amanda Keidan, an L.A.-based jeweler visited San Miguel de Allende for the first time in 2017 and fell hard for the city’s bohemian vibe. While dreamily searching real estate listings months later, she discovered a five-room hotel and purchased it on a whim. The red-and-green exterior was stripped back to showcase the original ironwork and the tchotchke-filled interiors where reimagined with artisan pieces she sourced locally, plus a few global finds like Moroccan carpets. Tell us all about the accommodations. Any tips on what to book? The two-floor roof garden suite is worth the splurge. It feels like your own private city sanctuary. The private rooftop has a jetted hot tub and you can see all the way across the city. At sunset it's magical. The wrought iron bed frame in room one has two white crowns that hang above each pillow, making you feel like a king and queen. The colorful tiles in the bathrooms are all handmade in the nearby city of Dolores Hidalgo. Is there a charge for Wi-Fi? No charge. Super speedy. Drinking and dining—what are we looking at? There isn't a restaurant but breakfast is complimentary, served at a communal cedar table that was made by a local woodworker. Each morning you'll find pastries from beloved SMA bakery Panio. Sunday's breakfast spread is a bit more elaborate and includes not-to-be-missed amaranth waffles. I also loved the jalapeño-spiked avocado toast. Amanda is so well connected and can direct guests to local restaurants and help with reservations. She also hosts monthly pop-up dinners with chefs from SMA (Donnie Masterson), Mexico City, New York, and Los Angeles. And the service? Service was smooth and thoughtful. Amanda is normally on site and she knows just the right attention to give to guests. She can arrange tarot card readings, and had a yoga instructor come do a one-on-one rooftop yoga class with me. She also has an awesome black book for shopping. What type of travelers will you find here? Modern-day bohemians. They look like they could be in a Free People advertisement with their flowy dresses and big gold hoop earrings. They appreciate craftsmanship and talk about where Amanda has sourced the textiles and artwork, and enjoy communal meals and meeting new people. What about the neighborhood? Does the hotel fit in, make itself part of the scene? The location is so great, just a ten-minute walk from the city’s most famous landmark, La Parroquia, and a bit further to La Fabrica Aurora, the Cultural Arts and Design Center. Is there anything you'd change? It would be nice if there were snacks or wine before dinner hours. Any other hotel features worth noting? There isn't a spa but they can arrange excellent in room facials and massages. I love the private astrology readings as well. I worried it would feel a bit woo woo but it was really interesting and informative. Bottom line: Worth it? Why? Intimate and you feel immediately plugged into the city." - Jen Murphy

My mom and I really enjoyed our stay at Casa Delphine. It is a beautiful boutique hotel still close to everything, but a little bit out of the immediate center which was great because it was quiet at night. The included breakfast is simple but delicious (yogurt, granola, fruit, and pastries). It is also nice to be so close to Live Aqua (large 5 star hotel, because you can get a day pass and use their pool). My only complaint was that we misunderstood the website and thought that the hot tub on the roof was for everyone, but it is specific to a room.

The staff made the stay!! They were all wonderful and incredibly hospitable. Our room had an issue during our stay (this happens!) and they moved us into their sister property- an awesome 3 bedroom home right down the street. The staff was helpful, gracious and caring - and we left hugging and kissing them. Good location to get everywhere. A quick stroll to the main Mercado and square. Ask Carlos for his art tips- and take an art class from Ricardo Ortiz (friend of Carlos) - one of the highlights of our trip!

A Truly Unforgettable Stay at Casa Delphine ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our stay at Casa Delphine was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. From the moment we made our booking, everything went smoothly, and we felt taken care of every step of the way. Amanda and the entire staff were exceptional—friendly, welcoming, and professional, always making sure we had everything we needed. The hotel itself is stunning. It’s impossible not to appreciate the extreme attention to detail in every aspect, from the design to the service. Every corner reflects a careful thoughtfulness, and the staff’s authentic smiles and genuine kindness added to the overall warmth of the experience. We can't wait to come back!

We loved our stay at Casa Delphine for our first trip to San Miguel. The location is great, in El Centro but a few blocks removed from the busiest area, on a nice quiet cobblestone block. Easy to walk to everything and get taxis when needed too. The hotel and rooms are beautiful, great service with coffee and light breakfast, access to water and tea, nice sitting area. The staff were so helpful, we'd love to visit again!

Wonderful experience in San Miguel de Allende, anchored by a lovely stay at Casa Delphine. This boutique hotel is amazing. The rooms are spacious, clean, and beautiful. The staff are soooo helpful. The breakfast is great. The location is ideal (very close to everything, but on the quiet side of town). Highly recommended.

Casa Delphine is a sweet oasis in a lovely San Miguel neighborhood, Oasis is the right word in terms of a refuge and a hint of Morroco in its beautiful appointments.|Our room was so wonderfully quiet overlooking a patio (number 2). We slept with the windows opened and enjoyed the wonderful hint of breeze. Great places to explore close by - cocktails at the Spice Market at Live Aqua just steps away. Dinner in the Aurora - just steps away. (Note- the big luxury hotel Live Aqua is almost next door - we tend to choose a small personal boutique hotel for our travels. If you do - Casa Delphine is the place to stay.||Delicious breakfast of pastries, coffee and fresh fruit. Perfect start to your day of exploring in San Miguel

A lovely small and quaint boutique hotel located within a short walking distance of cafes and restaurants in the historic centre of beautiful San Miguel. All of the suites are spacious, authentically decorated, clean, and generally well maintained. The only issue was the fluctuations in the hot water level in the shower. A light breakfast is served if required but if you want something more substantial there are plenty of options nearby. A small team look after guests and the hotel - the staff are fantastic. Special thanks to Janet, who is charge of housekeeping and is just amazing - really looked after us.

We came with our daughter and teen grandchildren, having no idea what to expect. Casa Delphine is delightful, elegant, comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful and tolerant if you should want to practice your Spanish skills. Amanda, the talented designer and host, has given Casa Delphine a sense of the original with authentic, artistic touches true to the sense of San Miguel and it’s history.
