We had a wonderful two-night stay at Casa di Langa. The hotel and its surroundings were surprisingly beautiful and stunning. The room was tastefully designed, very spacious, and had two large double beds, perfect for my family of three. The bathroom was huge and exceptionally clean. We dined at the hotel restaurant throughout our stay, and the food was fantastic. I enjoyed the walk in the nearby woods very much, and the scenery was amazing. This was truly one of my most unforgettable trips. I would love to return to stay and enjoy Piemonte next time!

Casa di Langa offers a tasteful combination of modern design, quality cuisine, and pleasant spa services. During our 4-night stay, we appreciated the friendly staff, particularly in the spa and restaurant, where we enjoyed a wonderful dinner and relaxing massages. The serene atmosphere and beautiful setting in the rolling hills of Piedmont provide a peaceful escape, making it a solid choice for a relaxing getaway.

We were there in September and the hotel is just exceptional. The service feels as if everyone knows you and it’s really on point. The restaurant, the rooms and the grounds are all amazing. It’s really a great boutique experience. We also did a cooking class which was quite fun if you’re into that. Highly recommend!

Peaceful. Quiet. Beautiful views. Kind staff. Lovely small spa. Truffle hunt was a unique experience, as was the wine tasting in their cellar. ||My only real "complaint" would be the air conditioning, it never properly cooled the room, and every day it would reset to 22*, despite keeping it set at the lowest possible temperature and the highest speed. I called and asked to have it reset daily, staff couldn't understand why, I really shouldn't be questioned if I want my room cooler.||I would still return, as this hotel offers a much more comfortable and modern stay than its older competitors in the area, just don't come when it's hot, and you will love your time here!

The only reason I gave this hotel 2 stars instead of 1, is because I was traveling with a 14 month old baby that was sick, and I know that part of my negative experience was that. I will also qualify this by saying that we went there on the recommendation of our group's travel agent, so I assume other people have had positive experiences.||The big positive of the hotel is that it is set on a beautiful hill overlooking a valley amid vineyards and hazelnut groves, where you can see the Alps in the distance. Absolutely a stunning view. Now the negative... ||1. We had originally booked a suite, but something with the sliding doors must not have been able to seal properly, so our suite was open to the stink bugs. Apparently late October is typically when stink bug season starts, but this year early rains brought them early, and so we went into the room to find a couple dozen stink bugs in our room. We told the hotel and at first, it was as though they didn't believe us. Like we jsut had our door open and were upset they were coming inside. Rather than the fact that the door just didnt work to keep them out. Eventually the hotel came to remove the bugs, but within minutes there were at least a dozen more. I dealt with them that time, and minutes later at least a dozen more. We wouldn't have wanted to deal with a room that couldn't seal out bugs at a motel 6 and definitely not at a hotel room where basic rooms are more than 600 euros on a weeknight. We asked to switch rooms and they switched us to the only room that they had available. which was one of their basic rooms. It was a shoebox of a room that really could not accommodate a crib. We had to place it in the hall just inside the door so we squeezed through between the crib and the wall to get to room (btw, the crib was 50 euros per night). The room was so small that the bed takes up almost the whole space and there was essentially no room for our baby to play on the floor. The hotel continued to act as though this was not a major inconvenience, but did eventually send a bottle of wine to our room as an apology after the travel agency complained to them. We were dealing with a sick baby so we never even drank it. I will say that the rooms came with beautiful balconies that were a major part of the space of the room. However, even if the door was working they were so full of stink bugs that they were essentially unusable. This wouldn't have been true if stinkbug season had come later or we had come earlier, and this would have made the rooms much nicer. ||2. Part of the appeal of the hotel is the location, but it has a major downside. It is isolated enough that you can't get a cab so any plans need to be made in advance and getting a car to take you down the hill will be 200 euros. So you can't do anything impromptu.||3. Dealing with a sick baby and only one restaurant on site that is pretty fancy and slow, not ideal for a baby, I was ordering a lot of room service. I found the room service menu to be small and mediocre. I will say that the salads, however, were excellent. ||4. I generally felt unwelcome with a baby. I felt like the staff did not want us there. Definitely not family-friendly.||Ultimately, the hotel is just not nearly good enough to justify the price tag. Choosing between that and a Hilton, I would choose a Hilton 10/10 times. If you are choosing between Casa di Langa and another luxury hotel, choose the other hotel.

We enjoyed our trip to Piedmont and stay at Casa di Langa , however felt like hotel has a lot more potential . ||Pros:|-The parking valets were extremely professional and friendly, appreciate them helping us with luggage and getting the car given had baby pram!|-Hotel grounds and facilities: feels modern and sleek, from design of main building to the rooms. Liked the design of the room, fairly minimalistic with large painting and a terrace. Finishings from bathroom to toiletries are high quality|-Room: good large bed, comfortable AC which is easy to regulate, clean|-Faula Ristorante - we really enjoyed dinner there, fantastic service and food, the pasta dishes were original and tasty|-Good filter coffee for breakfast|-Spa: appreciated that you can book 50 mins of private spa facilities|-Amazing sunset views of vineyards and green hills stretching beneath the hotel||Cons/recommendations:|-Felt like some service should have been available for this type of rate/hotel class - towels by the pool should be provided, otherwise have to carry towels from the room and there is no straightforward access to the pool by lift (with a pram you have to carry it down a set of stairs).|-Breakfast was slightly underwhelming given how good the restaurant is for dinner; strange to have menu with additional items you have to pay for (looked like 18 euros extra for eggs benedict, which is a standard dish included in most hotels of this class; otherwise don’t offer it altogether)|-The hotel has large grounds, vineyards and gardens, loads of plants and is already positioned in Piedmont within so many beautiful places to visit - however there was no information provided to us about activities available. Also there was lack of information about the hotel , the concept, grounds, vineyards etc (eg brochures in the room)|-We were provided with a baby crib free of charge however there was too much confusion as to whether the room fits a baby crib, how much it costs (50 euros extra per night for crib is excessive , had it provided free of charge in all other 5* hotels so far)

This is a great hotel full stop. Of course, it is boutique and intimate, but it is is thoughtfully appointed and has all the comforts while being in a magical setting. When assessing a hotel one has to consider the setting—no it is not the Splendido in Portofino, nor should it be. It is perfect for sitting amidst orchards and vineyards. The service is warm and gracious; the offerings excellent including the restaurant. Highly recommended.
