What a wonderful stay! The room was comfortable and nicely appointed, and the breakfast each morning was delicious and a great way to start the day. The hotel's location couldn't be better—right in one of Lisbon’s most vibrant neighborhoods with plenty of cafes, shops, and lively streets to explore just steps away. Friendly atmosphere, great convenience, and a lovely stay overall. Highly recommended!

Staying at Casa do Bairro in Lisbon was the best decision we could have made! This lovely place feels warm and welcoming from the moment you arrive — the staff make you feel right at home. Our room was cozy and the bed incredibly comfortable, so we slept wonderfully. Mornings were a delight thanks to a delicious breakfast that set us up perfectly for exploring the city. Thank you to everyone at Casa do Bairro for such a wonderful stay! The attached picture is Casa do Bairro from the front, the little street with the entrance and the surrounding with a lot of nice restaurants and bars. So perfect located.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Casa do Bairro by Shiadu! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and well cared for. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. The coffee was excellent and the breakfast was a real highlight: fresh, delicious, and served with a beautiful view that made every morning feel special. I fell in love with the pumpkin jam so much that I couldn’t resist taking a jar home to keep the memories alive. The overall thoughtful hospitality made my visit unforgettable. I can’t wait to return to Lisbon and will absolutely choose Casa do Bairro again. Thank you for a fantastic experience!

We stayed at Hotel Casa do Bairro by Shiadu for three nights between Christmas and New Year after a friend’s recommendation — and it exceeded our expectations! The hotel is lovely and in a fantastic location, surrounded by so many bars and restaurants and only about a 25-minute walk from the shopping centre. The airport transfers they arranged for us were excellent value; the drivers were friendly and pointed out sights along the way, which made the journey enjoyable.||Our room was very large, spotlessly clean, and featured an extremely comfortable bed — we slept wonderfully. Breakfast was varied and plentiful with really good coffee to start the day. The reception team were lovely and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended — a delightful place to stay! 🤩

I had such a great experience at Hotel Casa do Bairro. From the moment I arrived, Priscila took incredible care of me. She’s genuinely warm, attentive, and easy to talk to. There’s nothing forced about her hospitality. By the time I left, it felt less like checking out of a hotel and more like saying goodbye to someone who had truly hosted me. We even shared a hug, which says everything. What stood out most was the humanity. You’re not treated like a transaction. You’re treated like a guest in someone’s home. She even took the time to help me organize my bus to Spain and made sure I understood everything before I left. That level of care is rare. It’s clear this is intentional. Like the rest of the Shiadu properties, service is something they genuinely prioritize. I also stayed at their other property up the hill and the experience there was just as exceptional. The hotel itself has real charm. Cozy layout, stairs, character. My room had everything I needed, thoughtfully arranged, even a bidet. It was clean, comfortable, and easy to settle into. The free breakfast was delicious and actually felt like it was made with care, not just put out to check a box. All while being extremely affordable. The location is right in the heart of town, which made everything incredibly convenient while still feeling tucked away enough to relax. This place stays with you. I would absolutely return!

We loved our stay at Casa do Bairro. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfasts were healthy and delicious, with lots of choice. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area, including being able to direct us to the the must-see Museu da Marioneta, a puppet museum with a fabulous collection, just a ten-minute walk away from the guest house. We would happily stay here again on a future trip to Lisbon. A great, vibrant location, with lots of lovely little cafes and restaurants, and fun side streets to discover. Highly recommend!

Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated, making it a lovely place to relax after a day of sightseeing. And the breakfast was absolutely delicious — a great way to start each morning with a variety of fresh, flavorful options. I loved everything about my visit and can’t wait to come back! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a charming, friendly, and well-located spot.

Stayed at this hotel for 6 days while exploring Lisbon and it was a home away from home. The room was much bigger than expected, comfortable queen sized bed, and the staff were warm and welcoming. The breakfast (that was included) was homey and exactly what I needed to start the day. The breakfast selection included fresh juices, cereal, breads, fresh eggs (made when asked), potatoes, bacon, local fruit and pastries. The hotel was also very close to other restaurants, cafes and shops we wanted to explore. Highly recommend!

I booked this hotel for our last night in Lisbon after coming back from Sintra. Having read other reviews, I wanted so much to love this hotel, but I ended up being disappointed. Location - The area directly surrounding the hotel didn't feel safe. I wouldn't want to walk around there after dark. Also, to get to the main street you have to walk up some steep roads. -1 Hotel and room - I knew there would be stairs but there were SO MANY! We got the room on the top too. The reception area is cute and has water, tea, and pastries. There is a fridge with drinks for guests, billed to the room, using an honor system. The room itself was spacious and well laid out. But, there was a musty smell in the sleeping areas and especially the bathroom. I guess it's hard to air out because there are only small windows. The bedding had stains and the bed and pillows were musty and not comfortable. There were mosquitoes that tried to eat us all night. On top of that there was noise from our neighbors walking and also from drunk people singing outside. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything. We got very little sleep. -1 Service - The service was very good. I had questions which were all answered by speedy emails. The receptionist was polite and pointed us to places to eat and buy what we needed. They also packed us snacks because we were leaving before breakfast in the morning. Reception is only open until 9 pm. +1 Price - Inexpensive compared to hotels in the area. +1 In summary, I really missed our room at Hotel Avenida Palace which was conveniently located and also had better rooms for better sleep. If cost isn't a major factor, I would recommend booking elsewhere.

This B&B is gem of a find! Staff & rooms are great! Close to tram# 28 which takes you literally everywhere. If ever you're in Lisbon, this is the place to stay! Highly recommended!
