We stayed here this week. Parked on the street no problem. The friendliest informative reception upon our arrival with a welcome drink in the bar on the sun terrace roof. Our room had two large exceptionally comfortable beds and an en-suite shower. It is a very old building but immaculately clean. Ideally placed with only a one minute walk to the gate in the city walls. Lots of restaurants to choose from. A continental breakfast of bread, preserves, pastries, ham, cheese, yoghurts, granola, orange juice, t & c was served to our table the following morning. A gem of a place. Very highly recommended.

A fairly basic and rustic looking hotel good for a night. The hotel only has few rooms. The rooms are on the small side with minimal inexpensive furnishings, yet comfortable. The A/C worked very well, but not every room has it. We were in room 8. Check in was easy and the staff friendly. It has a nice terrace with a view of the surrounding area and where one can sit outside and have a drink. Parking is pretty much anyplace you can find a spot. We parked about 50 yards up the street in front of the hotel along the town wall. WiFi was adequate and didn’t drop out, but might not be great for streaming video. Breakfast was Continental and adequate, but some fresh fruit would have been nice. The breakfast room only has four tables so if you’re number 5 you need to wait for one to open up. Although the hotel could stand some renovations, by doing so some of its charm would go with them.

Super quaint guest house with great hosts. Room was clean and had all we needed. A short walk to restaurants etc. Some reviews have mentioned parking; this is a medieval town so yes, the road leading to the hotel needs some confident driving but we managed to park easily within 100 metres of the front door on repeated occasions. Recommended.

Though the staff was extremely friendly, this is a budget hotel. Emphasis on the word budget. To say the bed was uncomfortable would be a compliment. No air conditioning and you must pay in cash. Read the fine print. Parking was extremely difficult. You had to open the windows for ventilation and sleep with the flies. We were fortunate enuogh to get a dirty old fan but hey, It was either that or sweat all night. Along with that we were lucky enough to get a room on the main road and we're blessed to hear people and cars all day-and-night. Finally, breakfast was something you could have bought from a vending machine. Other than the friendly staff the patio was very nice. Would I stay there again....Absolutely not. For the record, We booked 6 to 9 months in advance so it's not like it was the last minute booking.

Small room but perfect location close to the castle walls. I'd say it's an easy walk to everything except the hills are so steep the walk wasn't easy. Clean and the staff were very friendly.

My girlfriend and I had an awesome overnight stay here. Our room was clean, modern and comfortable. There was no A/C as many note, but with windows open, it was fine. Tasty continental breakfast with strong coffee! Staff was welcoming and accommodating, and gave us a helpful tip for our travels.

Great little casa located perfectly close to the wall tower gate. Warm welcome. Rooms and bathroom understandably on the small side but more than adequate. Terrace is great place outside to relax. Nice breakfast in sweet setting. And all at a very modest price.

Very picturesque B&B close to the city portal. Less than average size rooms. Very nice patio with great views to the castle and surroundings. Breakfast is simple and typical for Portugal, but served late for some reason, you might not get it by 9 am. No reception area, so they make you wait by the front door before check in. They advertise that Parking is available, but in actuality parking is only street, it's free, but parking spots might only be available far whatever you can find. In our case we had bad experience , had to park outside of the wall and at night window was broken and valuables stolen. Upon reading reviews , I noticed same accidents happen to other guests. Also, police mentioned that it happens often now, so beware where you park.Hostess made "0" attempt to assist us when I asked for the tape to cover the broken window.
