A house and another building were combined to make this hotel. So there are lots of small stairs and odd corners in the building. There is an elevator that will fit 2 people and a suitcase, but people with mobility issues should stay elsewhere.||I found the hotel charming and friendly, and clean and comfortable. The staff is great and there are amenities like AC, slippers, bottled water and delicious cookies! The breakfast buffet had a good variety of fresh food and juice. A machine is there for espresso drinks.||Location is a block from Sao Bento station and there's an excellent restaurant right across the street.

We loved staying at Casa Dos Loios! We are a family of 4 and were so excited to stay in a historic hotel. We arrived early and the staff was so helpful and stored our bags. They gave us suggestions for lunch and places to see before check in. We stayed in the family suite which was the music room. The room had 3 beds and two bathrooms (we were surprised and happy about the bathrooms because we didn't realize that when we booked). All of the staff were incredible! Always ready to help in any capacity. They went above and beyond! The breakfast was also very nice and the staff was very attentive. They also kept coffee and tea available all day, which was amazing! We will definitely be back and would recommend for family & friends.

We spent two nights at Casa Dos Loios with our 14 year old and would highly, highly recommend it! It's the perfect blend of the quirky charm of a small inn (every floor has interesting decor to check out) with the wraparound amenities of a hotel.||Every team member we interacted with was friendly and helpful from our check in to leaving bags after check out. So kind, willing to answer questions or ask about our day.||The hotel is central to everything on our must-do list — we kept re-checking our Google map and finding ourselves surprised everything was 5-7 minutes or stretching it to about at 10-15 minute walk. It made it convenient to pop back into the hotel to drop off bags, cool off in the AC or grab a cup of coffee. There are great restaurants right near by (we ate a lot of gelato from Glanni across the street, loved Floresta for brunch and grabbed late night pizza at Slice of Porto)||The room was as charming as it was comfortable. Big pillows, even for the sleeper bed!, a lovely mattress and thoughtful touches plus a gorgeous ceiling mural and chic bathroom. We slept brilliantly after long, hot days of walking the city -- and despite being on a popular pedestrian zone it was quiet!||Breakfast was full of local favorite and beloved options as well as eggs prepared as you like. Don't miss out on the crepes, the delicious yogurt, the chance to try rabanadas or the lime mousse. Enjoy it indoors or out on the patio!

Rooms are a bit small but very clean and well kept. There was no noise around the hotel, so we slept very well! But the absolute best was the receptionsists and staff, who were absolutely perfect! Polite, understanding even when we had a small complaint (we ordered 2 single beds, and they gave us a double bed), they were very understanding, corrected this in no time, and were very nice. The staff is just amazing!

We had an absolutely delightful stay at Hotel Casa dos Lóios by Shiadu! The hotel itself exudes charm, and we were particularly enchanted by the serene ambiance of the inner courtyard, which provided a lovely oasis from the bustling city outside. Breakfast each morning was a highlight; the buffet was wonderful, offering a wide variety of delicious options to help start our day on a high note. What truly set our experience apart, however, was the incredible hospitality shown by the receptionist. Not only was she extremely friendly, but she also provided us with invaluable information about the local sights and tours. Her recommendations for dining were spot-on, leading us to some of the best meals we have had. Thank you, Hotel Casa dos Lóios by Shiadu, for making our visit so memorable. We can't wait to come back!

Staff, including Antonio, were super in mapping out our first walks through Porto, and in offering a welcome espresso or glass of port wine. This historic small hotel's location is perfect: the front door opens onto a pedestrian shopping street, and Sao Bento train station (with tiled scenes in yellow and blue) is just a block away (we walked with luggage the short distance to board trains to Lisbon). The cathedral is a short walk up the hill. Our sunny room in the back building overlooked the hotel's courtyard patio with table seating. Bedding was modern and comfortable, AC was easy to adjust, and "orange vert" natural Portuguese bath products are (also) available for purchase (I did!). Breakfasts were a high-quality and abundant buffet. The coffee machine and hot water are complimentary all day in the cafe, so we refueled after long walks with lattes and cappuccinos in the courtyard (also, the hotel brand makes its own tea blends), with complimentary pastries. We are impressed by the Shiadu brand, and by the Casa Dos Loios charming experience!
