We had a wonderful four-night stay at the hotel. The location is excellent—central and within easy walking distance of many major attractions. The front desk staff were outstanding, especially Antonio and a Brazilian team member whose name we unfortunately didn’t catch; both were incredibly helpful and offered excellent local recommendations. Our room was serviced daily and consistently well maintained throughout our stay. As mentioned in previous reviews, if possible, we recommend booking a larger room, as the bathroom can feel a bit tight, particularly for guests who are not petite.

I stayed with my mom at this hotel and the experience was fantastic! The location is perfect, you’re right in the center of Porto. Thanks to the soundproof windows, you can’t hear a thing. We slept great! The breakfast is awesome, with lots of variety and everything was delicious. All employees were super nice. Raphaella gave us great tips on what to do in the city, Miguel recommended places to visit on our last day, and the girls at breakfast were wonderful as well (unfortunately, I don’t remember their names). I highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

I had such a wonderful day at this hotel. The staff were warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful from the moment I arrived. The breakfast was absolutely amazing — fresh, delicious, and far beyond what I expected. My room was spacious, comfortable, and so quiet that it was easy to relax even though I was right in the middle of downtown. The location couldn’t have been better — everything I wanted to see and do was just a short walk away. I can’t wait to come back!

I stayed with my mother at Casa Dos Loios from November 1st to 4th and I must say it was a wonderful experience! The hospitality was exceptional, Antonio, Joana, and Maria are amazing people, always ready to help with a smile and infinite kindness. We felt like we were at home and their human warmth was incredible. The breakfast was simply delicious, with genuine and high-quality products. If we were to return to Porto, we would definitely come back to Casa Dos Loios, because we felt like we were at home and found wonderful people who have entered our hearts. Thank you for everything! It was great experience. Actually, I had another accomodation but it has electricity problem so I found suddenly around 22:40pm. I booked through hotels.com and went to hotel for check-in. However, it's closed but manager came to hotel to help me to get in. it was very touching me and impressive. very appreciated for helping in the unexpected situation. Definitely suggesti it!!

A house and another building were combined to make this hotel. So there are lots of small stairs and odd corners in the building. There is an elevator that will fit 2 people and a suitcase, but people with mobility issues should stay elsewhere.||I found the hotel charming and friendly, and clean and comfortable. The staff is great and there are amenities like AC, slippers, bottled water and delicious cookies! The breakfast buffet had a good variety of fresh food and juice. A machine is there for espresso drinks.||Location is a block from Sao Bento station and there's an excellent restaurant right across the street.

We loved staying at Casa Dos Loios! We are a family of 4 and were so excited to stay in a historic hotel. We arrived early and the staff was so helpful and stored our bags. They gave us suggestions for lunch and places to see before check in. We stayed in the family suite which was the music room. The room had 3 beds and two bathrooms (we were surprised and happy about the bathrooms because we didn't realize that when we booked). All of the staff were incredible! Always ready to help in any capacity. They went above and beyond! The breakfast was also very nice and the staff was very attentive. They also kept coffee and tea available all day, which was amazing! We will definitely be back and would recommend for family & friends.

The location was perfect in this charming city. It was in the middle of all the tourist spots. Best was the staff who are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They provided us tips and even guided us to hidden gems in Porto that we were not aware of. One night is not enough for Porto. There's a lot to discover and do. Hope to visit back and stay again at Casa dos Loios.
