Casa Duranta

We only stayed for one night. The room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. There is a small garden in the center of the hotel, with nice plants and it just make the hotel more welcoming and whole.

Staying at the Casa Durante is a great experience. It’s clean and safe. The gardens are also great to walk through in the mornings. They offer different breakfasts and it’s delicious! Although the rooms are small, there is plenty of space to wander around and sit down. If you’re heading to Cobán, I’d highly recommend the Casa Durante Hostel.

This place is quiet, comfortable, clean, and well-maintained with a beautiful garden in the middle, good breakfast, and a very friendly and helpful staff. They arranged for my laundry to be done in 4 hours. The hot water was only warm, and my room was a bit small (but I was solo--other rooms were much larger.) Great location about 4 blocks from the plaza. Overall I enjoyed it! ||||It has terrible signage. I literally walked right past it 2x thinking I was lost. It's yellow with a tiny brown circular sign flat against the wall about 8 feet up. There's a well-marked Clinica Diabetica directly across the street.

Good value and location. Quiet. The first room was a little dark, but they moved me to one overlooking the garden. Very secure.

My night at Hotel Casa Duranta was while enroute to Semuc Champey. It's clean, safe, and generally quiet. You'd never know it is on a busy street close to the center of the city. I ate in the restaurant twice and found it adequate but no more than that. Wifi was a unreliable in the room & better in the common areas. The hotel is built in a square with the rooms facing a lovely courtyard with a colorful flower garden. It was pleasant to relax out there. With its central location & easy access to the city center & transportation hubs, it's a decent place to stay.

The hotel has secure parking nearby. Surprisingly beautiful gardens in the courtyard. Bathroom had electric heated showers so low pressure for hot water and higher pressure for cold showers. Decor was pretty. Breakfast was not included with the price.

I love the garden and the people in the hotel are really friendly, so I spend some nights in the hotel before, but this time I arrived for two nights with a partner. I asked for two single rooms, expecting the kind of rooms that I am used to, but when they show us the rooms, those rooms where like half of a room. It was really hot and it doesn't have any place to work in it. ||But even worst the price was the same...

This hotel is well situated, not far from the Central Parque, also not far of the best restaurant in town. The rooms are located in the back of the hotel around a “patio” avoiding so the notice of the street. We have the choice between several type of breakfasts. All very good and abondant. Nice service.
