Staying at Casa El Siroco is like living in your own home – even better in some respects!|The photographs and video on the website are an exact representation of the property; however they do not give it full justice. I arrived expecting Casa El Siroco to be a pretty, artistic and quirky place but it was so much more than that; the attention to detail and personal touches everywhere are just so beautiful. You cannot help but to be intoxicated by the calming, relaxing, uplifting, good for the soul atmosphere.|We stayed in the Garden Suite and were extremely impressed with how Andrea had furnished the suite; the sitting area was tastefully decorated, bright yet inviting and comfortable. The bathroom – oh my, simply gorgeous, with small yet important touches such as a properly lit over basin mirror, a hand held magnifying mirror and a stool to sit on. |Breakfasts are impressive; each day the tables are set personally and with different crockery, cutlery and quirky touches to reflect the day. Standard (not the correct word to describe the presentation) fare is a delectable range of fresh breads, conserves, meats, cheeses, fruit, yogurts; eggs, cake/pastry. There really was enough to set you up for the day. All of this prepared and presented by Andrea and Carina, spreading their infectious friendliness. |There are only 3 “rooms” and therefore generally a maximum of 6 guests, thus breakfasts got longer each day as we chatted to each other and discovered more of what all were doing on the island (and got to know more about each other’s cultures). It was a difficult decision each day as to go out or stay and enjoy the wonderful patio gardens, or even just step out of the front door into the Mogan Barranco walking trails, however with so much of the island to see (as this was the first trip to see if we want to spend much longer on Gran Canaria) off we went. |I could go on but have ran out of superlatives, basically we thoroughly enjoyed our time on the island and in particular staying in Case El Siroco and do wish to return at some time in the future. In fact I could very happily live there.|

I've been to Casa el Siroco last year and it is a wonderful location. A former schoolhouse with a very special ambiente. The host, Andrea, treated me like a friend and even showed me the harbour and other beautiful sights of Mogan. You must see her breakfast! (and of course taste it :-) Just take a look at the photos I've posted to show you what I mean.||Also nice walking trails are close-by. To visit the harbour and the beaches you have to rent a car. ||The room I had was simply beautiful. Every piece of furniture and decoration is hand selected with love by Andrea. And I could enjoy a fullmoon night from the big terrace on the roof during my stay. Really special is the patio with its flowers, sculptures and the peaceful atmosphere.||A stay at Casa el Siroco is highly recommended.

All the good things people say/said about this place are true. Casa El Siroco is a beautiful place, with excellent rooms and stunning views. Breakfast is delicious, with even some personal touches. Andrea and her staff could not be more welcoming, friendly and helpful. On top: Casa El Siroco is located in a small, pittoresque village with some very nice places to eat/drink! The bus stop is nearby -- the bus will bring you in 15 minutes (tops) to Puerto Mogan. I would highly recommend Casa El Siroco to everyone looking for a nice, relaxing holiday.

My wife and I stayed in the Tower room for the 8 nights Feb 3rd-Feb. 11th. ||and throughout Andrea and Marcus (and Sunny the Dalmatian) made us very welcome.||The Tower room is well-appointed with comfortable beds, plenty of storage space, and its own staircase to a roof verandah with chaise-longues/cushions supplied and views over Mogan and the mountains around. Although it is fairly near the road through Mogan, it is not that noisy (being February, we slept with the windows closed, but there is an air-conditioning unit for summer stays). There is also ample hot water (contrary to an old review). ||We had breakfast in the former schoolroom, at a table shared with another couple who had the other room downstairs with its own courtyard.||We hired a car, and while there is no parking provided at El Scirocco, there is usually parking to be easily found in the streets nearby. You do not need a car to get to Porto de Mogan as there is a cheap, frequent bus service, and indeed throughout Gran Canaria.||We did not take the car out at night but there are restaurants in Mogan. We recommend the fine-dining Acaymo and the more modest El Tomate. Both are excellent/very good.||One further tip on the accommodation. This is an old house with very old doors: at first we had great difficulty opening the outside door and the room door: take some time to master how the keys work!

We adored our week in this special place. There are only three rooms and we were in the garden room which has been thoughtfully designed with everything you would need from the sitting area, comfy four poster bed, to large bathroom. There are decorations and ornaments everywhere which could be tacky and wouldn’t normally be our taste but it was all done artfully and actually made a really special environment.||The decorations continued at breakfast with the table decorated differently every day to lay up the really tasty and plentiful breakfast. ||The gardens were very pretty. You had to move around to catch the sun but plenty of places to sit and nice and peaceful. We spent a lot of time there during the day since it was such a comfortable environment.||Andrea could not have been more helpful and the lady who often served breakfast was lovely. The WiFi was good, including in the garden and really we didn’t have any faults with this place at all. Very good value for money and a great place to stay.||It’s just a small village but several nice restaurants. We didn’t have a car but it was easy to get the bus. Andrea’s place was so nice though that we actually spent a lot of the holiday just enjoying the peace and relaxation there.

my daughter, my granddaughter and me had the pleasure to stay at this wonderful place, called casa el sirocco. andrea, the owner of the house, made a fairytale out of that beautiful old building. she has a very good taste for the decoration. the rooms are beautifully arranged, very clean, air conditioned and the beds are a pleasure to sleep in :) we loved our two apartments ...one for the two girls and one just for me. with our rental car it took 10 mins to the next beach, next to mogan´s harbor. for little lia it was heaven on earth ;) perfect beach, perfect temperatures, great food. andrea, thanks a lot for your hospitality .... i will come back :)

This is a charming house in the centre of Mogan but our room was very small with nowhere to put clothes (we were staying for a few days) and despite having a heater it constantly felt damp. A lot of the useful shelf space was taken up by knick-knacks which were not necessary. The shower room was also small and cold but the water was scaldingly hot - take care. The bed was not the most comfortable. The hostess, Andrea, was very friendly but a bit disorganised, perhaps more suited to her work as an art photographer than to running an B&B. One great thing - the breakfast was excellent. Lovely meats, cheeses and breads, plus yoghurt and juice, all very qood quality and local. No cleaning or bed changing took place during our stay. The wife reception was very poor and slow.

Casa el Siroco is a wonderful home from home. Rooms are really well appointed, beautiful courtyard tended with such love and an enticing breakfast for all travellers. ||The village itself isn’t in a beach location but in a stunning valley leading up to the mountains. Excellent restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. Perfect spot to explore the island and see a Canarian side of life.
