Casa Flor de Sal

This summer we spent our 3 weeks vacation for the second time in this marvelous and welcoming place. We enjoyed everything: the peaceful atmosphere, the absolutely beautifully designed resort, the exquisite choices of the little shop and the possibility to choose out of two pools and one natural pond for swimming or SUP. Laurent and his family are the best hosts you can ever imagine - so kind, so thoughtful and generous and so helpful on an individual basis. You will definitely feel as if in paradise and come back home very relaxed, with your batteries recharged and full of unforgetable memories. Thank you so much, Laurent, and see you next summer!!

We had a wonderful week in Casa Flor de Sal in August. It truly is a very nice place, beautifully landscaped gardens, comfortable and very clean rooms, tastefully decorated, equipped with everything a family on holiday might need. But what makes this place so special most of all, is the owner and his dedication to making his guests feel welcome and at ease. We only met Laurent as his wife was travelling at the time. I have never met any hosts who went out of their way like Laurent did to organise activities for the guests, attend to every small request and anticipate any needs. The kids loved the pool (and so did we) and it was easy to relax and unwind in this wonderful place. Thank you, Laurent!

Thanks Laurent and Alexia for a wonderful stay at your premises. We felt like at home from the very first minute. You have created such a wonderful and quite place and your service ist really extraordinary (full fridge at arrival, every day fresh bread, a 24/7 shop for ice cream, water, drinks based on trust, almost daily updates about excursions, 2 swimming pools, one natural pool and two lovely storks). Everything is well maintained and the houses are really nicely furnished. We really enjoyed our stay and have not missed anything. Every visitor just needs to be aware that you cannot reach your resort withouth a car, there is no restaurant nearby and you should prepare for the one or other mosquito as Ria Formosa, in which this beautiful resort is situated, is a natural resort. Thanks for having a wonderful time! 👌

Such a dreamy place. We loved the calm and relaxed vibe. Everything we needed for our 1yo was provided (cot, chair, towel, cutlery). Our house (Stork) was even more cozy than on the pictures. Laurent and Alexia are very welcoming and helpful people. Overall very happy with our stay and would recommend the place to family and friends.

Absolutely stunning place for families & couples. Laurent’s place is an unmatched combination of the independence and the space of an appartement and the amenities of a hotel (daily cleaning, breakfast service, yoga classes, private boat tours, all recommendations for local activities on day one..). 7 Appartements share 3 pools, 2 small playgrounds, play/yoga area in the shade and the entire wealth of the location. Beaches, restaurants & shopping only 10mins away. High quality equipment in the houses (who does not miss their sharp knives when travelling..). Best part of the day: Kids are in bed - parents enjoy views and wine on the roof terrace private to each Appartement. Laurent & family go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. We cannot wait to book our next stay.

We visited with our 2 yr old son and loved every part of our stay, the property and the Spoonbill house. The house is comfortable, spacious, well equipped and very well designed. The property is just as pictured with an excellent attention to detail and beautifully maintained. Martin took great care of us, accommodated all our requests and exceeded our expectations. I would particularly commend Martin and the team for their approach to safeguarding their guests, themselves and the property during the current health situation. We found their practical and sensible guidelines put us at complete ease during our stay. There are lots of activities to do on the property and close by for both adults and children. Although the facilities for children are excellent (our son didn’t want to leave) I would also recommend it for those without children as the property is spacious and the properties are cleverly designed to allow plenty of common and private areas.

What a paradise!! We had the fortune to stay for several weeks in this most beautiful and charming place (2 adults and 1 child, 3 yrs)! The owners are so welcoming, open-minded, helpful and generous so that they made us feel at home from the very first moment. They provide a variety of special possibilities that you can participate in like massages, yoga and evening dinner and much more. You are kindly invited to participate but it is no must. You can mingle with other guests or you can stay privately. Alltogether this place is a heaven on earth and offers you the perfect mix of peace, relaxation and activities in the Ria Formosa. The Ria Formosa itself is a magnificent reserve with the scents and sounds of nature. We will definitely come back. Thank you so much, Laurent and Alexia, for having us.
