Ibiza’s Baby Sister Formentera Is Coming for Its Crown | Vogue

"Casa Pacha is a 14-suite hideaway in Formentera that reflects the island’s resolutely unflashy vibe." - Kerry McDermott

Wild and Bohemian, Formentera Is a Laidback Alternative to Ibiza

"Casa Pacha Formentera, a rootsy hotel at the southerly end of Migjorn. It sits on the sand like a bleached-out wedding cake, its 16 rooms offering barefoot luxury in the form of calming, neutral minimalism in polished concrete."

After A LOT of research into hotels in Formentera we narrowed it down to Hannah and Teranka, but ultimately picked Hannah because of its proximity to the beach, and for us it was unequivocally the right choice. ||The style and vibe of the hotel is as warm and welcoming as the staff who went out of there way to make recommendations, book hard to get reservations and make us feel relaxed and at home. ||The best beach in Formentera is just steps out the door, which features rows of loungers and umbrellas which complementary to guests. Also important they hold enough loungers for guests (despite selling some to the public) so there’s was never a time when you won’t have a spot. ||The breakfast is beautiful, peaceful and plentiful, with a large plate of pastries, breads and jams, but they’ll also make a variety of things (pancakes, eggs, etc) all of which were great. ||In closing, we loved our time here and would not think twice about booking it again.

My husband and I enjoyed 5 nights at Hannah. We found the location to be top notch (that beach!), the room to be spacious, and the staff to be (mostly) very friendly. Special thanks to the breakfast restaurant staff and Harry at the beach for being so friendly and warm. Knocked one star down because 1-2 of the beach attendants were rude and seemed annoyed by our mere presence.

We arrived at the beach at 8:00 and found all the sunbeds already occupied with towels. When we asked if we could stay in the first row, the staff member told us the sunbeds were only for hotel guests. However, shortly after, we saw other people (not staying at the hotel) who, after paying, were given the sunbeds that had been “reserved” for them. I find this behavior unfair, especially since we also paid. Isn’t reserving spots on the beach supposed to be prohibited? Yet he does it, and not just for hotel guests.

Back again in this amazing hotel, the service is fantastic. So nice that again the staff give you advices for the best restaurants on the island. And they arrange bookings and transport. Happy to be back. But we didn't eat in the restaurant because it's far too overpriced. Hope they will change this food concept In Future.. We had a great time! love to come back in 2025

We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and promptly seated at a table with a prime view of the sea. Without exception, everyone was friendly and eager to help. Our meal was delicious and well-presented. We had the gazpacho, tomato salad, grilled chicken, home-made fries, and an incredible dessert. The pace was leisurely and we had a lovely lunch.

The location of this restaurant is sensational situated right on the beach however diners are paying for the privilege of this real estate. We chose from the “to share” section. For a dish named Seafood Party and priced at €130 We expected a lot more. Mind you we should’ve known something was up when we were passed the gigantic iPad as a menu to order. €9 a pop for a Cana and €20 for 2 x kids ice creams. Looks like we were the catch of the day. But don’t worry we did receive free guest list to their night club. Haha not really. The only thing sadder than paying full price to enter one of Pachas soulless EDM bashing events is entering this restaurant. Do yourself a favour and pack some homemade sandwiches for the beach in front. RIP Pirate Bus, The last value for money establishment on the beautiful coast of platja de migjorn.

Brilliant views, impeccably friendly and accommodating staff, phenomenal location, delicious food, and a perfect escape whether travelling solo, with friends, or on a romantic getaway. It was my first time visiting Formentera and I only stayed for a brief two nights on a multi-stop journey, but from the time I checked in, I was greeted and taken care of like a longtime guest. Thank you for the lovely memories!
