Art gallery or museum, it depends on the exhibition they are showing, which changes from time to time. Regular bathrooms if you need. There is no air conditioning so on summer time it can get pretty hot. Overall a good visit. If you're in Rio, I'm a local guide here. This is a quite place. I have been there several times but enjoyed only one an exposition. The is a small bistro where you can enjoy crêpes inside. You have also a reading room with plugs for labtop.

A huge space without partitions were you can enjoy great expositions of art at a different building. If you look up, you will fell like looking for a traditional seiling with vaults, but when you lay down your eyes, you see a stone ground that match`s and bring diffrent`s atmospheares to the expositions.

One of the must see museums in Rio de Janeiro, they usually have great exhibitions here, and the building itself with its historic architecture. It's close to the Brazil's Bank Cultural Centre (CCBB) where sometimes both institutions work on the same exhibition. One great event every year is the Anima Mundi, where Casa França-Brasil has loads of recreational activities.

It is a good space but the art itself can be of questionable taste. The standalone vents are usually good.
