Casa Frieda

This restaurant in the heart of Sibiu offers great food at excellent prices, making it a popular spot for locals. The Bulz was absolutely delicious and the highlight of the meal—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The chicken breast dish, while tasty, was not exactly as described on the menu. I expected a full breast with a white sour cream and mushroom sauce, but the presentation was slightly different. Still, it was enjoyable. The cocktail was recommended as sweet but turned out quite the opposite, which was a bit disappointing. On the other hand, the beer was perfectly cold and refreshing. Pricing is a strong point—most dishes are around 45 lei (€9), which is great value for the quality. However, the cocktail at 30 lei (€6) felt a bit overpriced for the amount of alcohol it contained. One thing to note—this place is consistently packed. Tables were full throughout the day, which speaks volumes about its popularity with locals. If you’re in Sibiu and looking for a well-priced, authentic meal, this is definitely worth a visit!

I can only speak about the restaurant, since I haven't used the hotel. The restaurant is offering a nice choice of meals, a lot of which are traditional Romanian cuisine. Polite service and good prices!

We are in the restaurant and the food was lovely. The food was very traditional and you definitely get your money’s worth. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating.

Stopped by for dinner with my friend and it wonderful experience. I had the Grilled mutton salt meat served with garlic and polenta with papanasi for desert. If you stop by ask for Christina. She was my waitress (extremely polite and professional).

We had lunch at Casa Frieda and the food was delish , cabbage rolls tased delicious and the strudel was exactly what I expected, also the customer service was amazing, thanks Cristina for serving us, definitely worth a visit!

Food and drinks were nice, not great. Im sure there were better choices around. Grilled pepper salad was from a jar, not fresh. A lot of polenta in every dish which goes to waste. All the pickles are in vinegar, no options in brine, not even the traditional pickled cabbage. Soups are average, not really tasty.

Great place to eat delicious Romanian food, at a good price . The service is always nice, too and perfect service..

I did not use the hotel but the food was average. Been served two shared plates one supposed to be 550g other 1100g. They were the same size... But then the same price too. The meat was over cooked and had an average taste.
