I usually find myself at my go to spot, Yardhouse, when visiting Ridgehill Mall, but this time I decided to try something new, Casa Fuego, right across the way. I'm so glad I did.
From the moment I stepped inside, the aesthetic transported me to a tropical retreat. The high ceilings, stylish finishes, and massive wood fire oven set the tone for a warm, elevated dining experience. It's clear that a lot of attention went into both the design and the menu. The service was attentive and not overwhelming.
I started with a craft cocktail that was perfectly balanced and expertly made. I ordered the empanadas for a snack and they were made with buttery puff pastry. The meat was so flavorful and they were also pretty big. For my main course, I ordered the Bronzino, which was impressively large (2lbs +) and served with a fresh, vibrant salad. I also added a side of rice and tostones which were both were delicious. The Bronzino itself was a standout, crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Absolutely flavorful and beautifully cooked.
Though I was full, the menu had me wishing I had room for more. I can't wait to come back and explore more dishes. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food, an upscale atmosphere, and a menu that brings the fire, literally and figuratively.
