Incredibly awful. From the grumpy waitress to the way overcooked rare steak. If this is the best reviewed restaurant in Covarrubias - bring your own food. Too bad, because the Pueblo itself is amazing!

The Hotel Casa Galin is nearly 200 years old. It sits in the beautiful town square of Covarrubias which is what our bedroom overlooked. The bedroom was well kept and very clean with a large en suite. The ground floor of the hotel was taken by the bar on one side and the ground floor restaurant on the other with a much larger restaurant on the first floor. Both restaurants were very busy at meal times as this seems to be the most popular place to eat in Covarrubias. I'm not surprised though, the food was amazing and the waiting staff all cheerful and very helpful. ||Quelin, the owner was very welcoming and spoke very good English (fortunately for us) and happily chatted and drew up some great motorcycling routes for us to tour during our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for him or his staff. The town was much busier than normal during our stay as it was Easter weekend and the whole town celebrates with a reenactment of the crucifixion in the town square. A great experience

We loved Casa Galin and the village of Covarrubias. To us, Casa Galin is the very essence of Covarrubias and Spain and it does not get any better than that. The hotel which fronts the town square is right in the middle of where you need to be. Carniceria next door, panaderia just steps away, the town arch visible from our room and a perfect location. The rooms were clean, modern and warm on the cold winter nights. The proprietor, Ezequiel was very hospitable and extremely friendly. The meal we had at the restaurant on site was delicious and it was convenient to have a nice down-to-earth authentic bar on site for beer and wine. Overall, Casa Galin was a wonderful experience for a good value.

I've stayed here twice now. A lovely old Casa right in the heart of the village. Had a room overlooking the town square. Spotlessly clean with comfortable beds. We stayed with three other couples this year, travelling on four motorbikes and were able to park them safely next to the Casa. The staff are very friendly and the proprietor speaks excellent english. Prices are also very modest and I would recommend this Casa highly.

This little pension is right on the main plaza and family run. There is a bar and restaurant below the rooms, but it is a peaceful place. Our room overlooked the plaza with French doors. Covarubbias a great place for local hikes. When the restaurant is open (for us on Wednesday) the food is absolutely fantastic, and all you had to do is go upstairs and take a siesta. a little chilly in the room, but it was unseasonably cold when we were there.

Covarrubias is an amazing small village, be sure not to miss it. The hotel is very nice, with clean and comfortable rooms, at a very affordable price. There is a panaderia and a pasteleria nearby where you can get memorable chocolate croissants (napolitana de chocolate?). It's a great place.

Covarrubias is highly rated by guidebooks - and it is a lovely place to be for a short while. ||||Casa Galin is a small and very Spanish pension, where the family are friendly and helpful, the room was pleasant and clean, and the grub was good. Stands on a corner of the main Plaza, but there's no noise in this little place after the standard early evening gathering of highly sociable groups outside each of the bars.
