This is a boutique hotel that doubles as an art installation, gallery and curio shop. The converted former mansion of the town doctor, it really is a unique place, and as a hotel, it's rather excellent, too. Rooms are individually decorated, huge, cozy and come with views. Service is very warm and friendly, and there is an extensive library /book exchange specialist in, you guessed it, art history. A fantastic and very special place to stay.

As an artist I chose this beautiful boutique hotel to paint from the terrace. It was perfect had fun painting. But no food so you must check where to eat for dinner. A big long walk so not good for those who find hills difficult.

This hotel is a quirky gem in the middle of Jimena. |Large clean rooms with nice decor and a roof top terrace with free tea and coffee and honour bar for drinks. |A real historic ‘Andalusian’ hotel |No onsite parking but parked safely on the street. |Will return.

Very spacious room and large bathroom. Enjoyed the beautiful views from room and also the roof top terrace. This hotel is located in the old part of Jimena de la Frontera, a charming town with narrow streets so best to arrive in the day light. Friendly service and suggestions for dinning and hiking.

Parking for unloading was difficult especially when you can't park in this stiff road ... no one was at the reception though we have booked in advance, bathroom was tricky with head shower broken so we have to change rooms at 11pm ! No discount was applied : same price as displayed on platform or booked directly to this casa.
One star is for the roof top and free coffee ... a place to avoid after all

Charming little" boutique Hotel". If you are looking for relaxing romantic place, you found it. Luxury is replaced by charm and purity. The village is very friendly with few good restaurants, great countryside and castle. Great escape.

Parking was a little difficult as the hotel has no parking facilities, (we knew this though so it was not an issue) but we found a free spot in the main road not too far away. The hotel looks nothing from the outside but it's like the Tardis, large and spacious when you enter. This in fact leads to a small problem, as the atrium is so tall there is a small problem with noise as every thing echo's', i.e. doors closing loudly and guests talking normally sounds loud. The staff were pleasant and diligent. The food in the restaurant was in my opinion very good, although served a little haphazardly. One starter came in the middle of our main course and I noticed on another table that they received both starters and main courses at the same time. Saying that the food was tasty and not expensive and the drinks were excellent value. We upgraded our room and had fantastic views over the rolling tree cover hills at the back of the hotel. Comfortable bed , and very clean rooms. Please note that that the lift does not work so not for the infirm. Over all I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel, but please take some ear plugs.

This quirky and charming hotel was a brilliant find. Located in the middle of Jimena de la Frontera, it was an easy, if not steep, walk to all the local restaurants and attractions. It was thoughtfully decorated with interesting furnishings in the most beautiful, calming colors. Our bedrooms (5 & 6) were huge, with large tiled bathrooms, and set at the back of the hotel on the first floor with breathtaking views of the countryside and village rooftops. The cosy bar and restaurant are located on the lower level with a pretty terrace filled with wrought iron chairs and tables. There was even a piano in the salon. The restaurant is only open for dinner Fridays and Saturdays, so the receptionist kindly recommended two excellent places to eat when we asked for authentic local dishes. We highly recommend a walk around the sprawling castle and adjacent cemetery, as well as a visit to the Museo de la Memoria, located a few doors up from the hotel. Note: the elevator is not operational and I get the feeling that there are no|immediate plans to repair it any time soon.
