Wiggly Roads

Found this while hanging at the nearby beach, ended up staying. Very good for what it is. Took the room with the shared bath at $10pp, which was warm but perfectly adequate. Initially they showed me a more expensive room which was admittedly nicer. There's a kitchen for shared use but might be awkward for cooking when the restaurant is hopping. Didn't try the food, looked ok but fairly expensive (like most places on this beach). Coffee and other handcrafted Ometepe items for sale also. Excellent, central location.

I found this place whilst walking down the road and I am super glad that I did! I was taking a kitesurfing course at Kitesurf Ometepe and this place is just a short walk away from the kiteschool. They offer dorms, private rooms without bathroom or private room with bathroom. I was in a private room without bathroom and it was just what I needed. The rooms are comfortable, the food is good and the people are super friendly. The wifi is good enough to work, but not strong enough to have online meetings. The vibe is very familiar and I would highly recommend it!

I would recommend this place. It has nice hammocks at the top. Housekeeping never came though (we stayed 2 days). Also upon arrival we were told it was cheaper than what we were charged. But it’s a language barrier so I understand. The ladies were cute and nice.

Lovely place to stay for longer, central location to a beach and lots of restaurants. Shared kitchen to make your own breakfast is decent.

Great value double room in an attractive property right opposite the beach. We loved the location as you can simply cross the road and watch the sunset behind Volcan Concepcion each evening – magical! Tiendas and restaurants close by, as well as places to rent scooters/motorbikes/ATVs. Hammocks and chairs to relax in. There's a kitchen where you can prepare your own meals, though it's not very well-stocked and could be cleaner. Water pressure in the shower is weak. But otherwise, a lovely stay.

The hotel is nice, clean and has big private rooms for just $20 the person. The hotel is friendly, and has a very nice view to the beach.. the electricity went down sometimes at night but this happens in all the area, we book the tour for the volcan maderas.. the volcano is amazing but unfortenaly our tour guide lester was the worst, he start walking super fast and most of the time we lost him for 20min ( the hike is around 7 or 8 hour) in one points we have to pick left or right cuz he was to far away from us and we cant see him, on the Way back he pick another way cuz his family was waiting for him in that direction ... that way it was super complicated .... and at the end we finish 1 hour away from our hostel, ( at the begining our hostel was just at 10min from the national Park) so we were waiting for the bus and it never came, so we walk that hour until our hotel and he just stayed with his family... apparently he work for the company in ometepe if you book this tour in another hostel make sure this is not your guide (name lester)

Very friendly staff. Good location for everything we did on that side of the island. The bed was ok, a good amount of road noise and pretty windy area of the island. For a budget stay it was fine for what we were doing.

Really great value for money, comfortable stay in a good location. The free breakfast was nice, lovely areas to hang out overlooking the volcanos. Laundry service was great. I recommend.
