Casa Isabel B&B

Excellent location and great communication. We had rooms 2 & 4 and were very clean and spacious. Nice outer lobby, breakfast area & reading porch. Breakfast was lovely with a variety of options plus fresh fruit and excellent coffee & tea!

Casa Isabel is a great value, wonderful location a block away from a lovely beach, and the architecture itself is quite charming. For comparison, the Marriott nearby was charging $967 per night for a room. (This is high season, but really?) We walked by the beach in front of the hotel and it was really over crowded. We felt very grateful to have our room at Casa Isabel at a fraction of the price and near an uncrowded beach. Margie is also a delightful host. All told, Casa Isabel is a great value.

Casa Isabel is in a great location close to the beach as well as stores, nightlife, and restaurants. Margie is an excellent host and went well our of her way to make us feel welcomed during our stay. The room was everything we needed and more, the AC was great after being outside most of the day, and all the beach amenities provided were a huge plus. If you want to stay in a place that feels local this is the spot. We will definitely stay here again during our future visits.

We had such an amazing and peaceful stay at Casa Isabel. Margie was so accommodating and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and we felt safe and relaxed. There were so many dining options within walking distance and the beach was just a few minutes away. It was my fiancée birthday and Margie had some nice balloons and banner set up for us which was so nice of her to do. We really appreciated our stay and really recommend.

We stayed with Margie twice, pre and post our cruise from San Juan. This lovely little B &B was a great find, located in a residential area and close to the bars and restaurants and 1 block from the beach! |It was so good and we had such lovely stays I almost don't want to write this review, as I always want this to be available when we head out to San Juan!!!|Margie and her staff are all lovely and so accommodating, nothing is too much trouble. Arrival instructions were easy to follow, rooms were clean, and bad everything we needed and beds were very comfortable. During our stay we had rooms 1, 2 & 4 each slightly different but all had everything we needed. USB charging points in bedside lamps were an added bonus, something you expect in all hotels these days and don't always get...so a very welcomed surprise! |Breakfast was way more than expected with choice of cereals, fruits, juices and hot items, toast and waffles. Tea and coffee and iced water were available all day. |Having the use of beach chairs and other items from the common area was also a big bonus for us. |Margie's B&B is definitely our new go to place to stay when we visit San Juan! |Thanks for a fabulous 2 stays |

Perfect location if you're looking for a quiet beach trip near to San Juan- it's about a 2 minute walk down the street to a beautiful beach. Beach towels are provided and also beach chairs to borrow (also boogey boards and ?coolers?- we didn't use these but saw them)- so it's very convenient. There is also an outdoor hose to spray the sand off everything before tracking it back into your room. Beds are very comfortable, linens are nice. Everything was very clean, including the bathroom. Our room had a remote-controlled wall A/C unit which kept the room very comfortable despite the humidity outside. The breakfast area was adorable, with open arch/ windows to enjoy the beautiful weather and listen to the birds singing in the garden outside. Access to filtered water, coffee and tea was available 24/7 there. Breakfast itself was meh- really nice cut fruit, also bean salad, but bleh pastries, bagels and bread to toast. Sausage, scrambled eggs and spiced boiled potatoes were available in a hot pot/ warmer. Also warm milk and individual boxes of corn flakes for those who want cereal. The whole property is fenced/ gated (like most dwellings throughout PR) and those who brought cars could park off-street in the driveway. The neighborhood was very nice/ upscale, all individual homes- not massive hotel properties wall-to-wall like in Condado or Isla Verde. It was a short walk to a great restaurant (Bebe's), ice cream parlor and convenience store. Uber to Old town San Juan was about $16-20 (or ~4mi walk), making that a convenient day trip. Condado is even closer by way of car or a great stroll down the Avenida that runs closest to the beach. The owner was easily available by phone to address any issues.

We stayed for 3 nights prior to our Norwegian Viva cruise. Our room was a Standard Queen Room.|-Hotel & room décor - Hacienda style with open air common areas for sitting and dining. Temps in February were not too hot so these common areas were comfortable enough with good cross-ventilation breezes. Might not be so desirable in hottest months.|Note on power: We had a power interruption on Sat morning (not an uncommon occurrence from what I understand about Puerto Rico). Casa Isabel does have a generator so lights and most importantly A/C stayed running in our room.|-Room size & features - Large airy double room has individual air conditioner, queen bed, two two-drawer nightstands with lamps having 3 USB ports and a power outlet, two chairs, cabinet with mini fridge and safe, full size armoire, and luggage rack. Private bathroom has glass wall-in shower and a hairdryer.|-Breakfast - Hot entrees (eggs, potatoes, sausages), fruits, bagels/toast, waffles, cereal, teas/coffee, fresh juices, pastries/muffins. Food was fresh and plentiful.|-Speed of free wifi - Very good|-Hotel location & proximity to shopping & dining - In the Santurce barrio near Contado. Several restaurants located within a 5 min walk. Supermax supermarket less than 1/2 mile away. B&B is in a residential area but there was still quite a bit of urban street noise. If you’re a light sleeper, I strongly recommended ear plugs.|-Price - Moderate but good value considering location and included breakfast.

Great location. Close to tons of dining, the beach is beautiful. Easy cheap Ubers to old San Juan. The location its self is very nice quant and quiet. Breakfast everyday from 8:30 - 10:30. The own was around and very informative on local entertainment and dining. Definitely recommend this location.

Eventhough the location is good, near the beach. I would only recommend staying here if you get a bluetooth camera to record the ins and out of the room you stay in. My boyfriend and I stayed in Casa Isabel July 2019 and we had a loss that we claimed from our room. Margarita said the insurance would take care of our lost items and yet till this day October 2019 we have yet to hear back to replace the items lost. She said she had looked at the videos of our time there but we never saw them and still we lost items staying at this bed and breakfast. Be aware if you decide to stay here. We would not be staying there again when we visit PR.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this quaint Spanish style building, secured gate entrance, and helpfulness of the owners/managers. As a nurse, cleanliness is very high on my list and this place met my particular standards, making it easy to relax & unwind. Plus, it was relatively quiet even on a Saturday night. My favorite part: The excellent & abundant breakfast spread, which the staff was able to arrange earlier than their usual time, so that we could have breakfast & still catch our flight.

Casa Isabel at 65 Krug St Condado Puerto Rico Incredible stay! If you want to feel like home, you should visit CASA ISABEL BED AND BREAKFAST. My husband and I stayed while visiting From Chicago and we are already planning to stay again! Breakfast is plenty and delicious, accommodations are 5 stars, air conditioning is great and cool!, bedrooms are big and also the bathroom facilities include Free Internet and Parking. Beach is right there! We would like to Thank Margie, Jorge and all the personnel who took care of our needs in such a professional and friendly manner. Wonderful and hospitable people. See you soon! Love this place. Walking distance to the beach, clean rooms and an excellent breakie. I stay here every time i'm in PR.
