Casa Isolani Piazza Maggiore 1.0

Absolutely magical. We felt like royalty: hosted by a princess or the Isolani family themselves! Our room had stunning views of the Clock Tower and Piazza Maggiore, yet thanks to flawless soundproofing, it was as peaceful as a quiet side street . Unforgettable, just like Bologna itself. Thank you!

We loved our stay at this spacious, clean apartment. The communications with the staff before arrival were brilliant and helped to ensure our arrival was a smooth one. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. It is in a cental spot with lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Would 100% stay here again.

Great hotel, great location. Located at the very center of the city yet without any disturbing noise. room was spacious and had anything we needed. Having access to free coffee and tea was also great.

Ideally located in the center of Bologna which allowed easy access to the historic buildings & great restaurants. The hotel was nicely appointed & very comfortable. The staff were very friendly & helpful in giving us ideas for touring Bologna.

We stayed here for 3 nights during our visit to the area. I chose it for its location and reasonable price and I was not disappointed. On arrival, we met Guilia on the street outside the apartment. She was very prompt in replying to my messages. The building is a private apartment building and is absolutely gorgeous, and an oasis of peace and tranquility. The rooms were a good size and were immaculately clean and tidy. The bathroom looked newly refurbished and had lovely french toiletries. The view out the window was spectacular! The only negative was that the air conditioning was not working and it took several messages back and forth and 24hrs to get it working. It's also worth noting that with the windows open it can be very noisy - the pedestrian street below (as can be expected from such a central location), and the music from the shops below (they close at 7.30pm so not too much of an issue). The free wifi was great as was the common area with a kettle (but no tap or water for refilling) and there was no milk for tea/coffee. These issues aside, it was wonderful stepping off the busy street into the quietness of this beautiful building - I felt like a local. Without a doubt, I would definitely stay here again. I can highly recommend Casa Isolani Piazza Maggiore 2.0 for its location and price.

Very clean and comfortable room in the city center of Bologna, just around the corner of Piazza Maggiore. Possibly the best location for a stay and I’ve never been to a place more clean than this room. Perfect. Lovely personnel welcomes you upon arrival, and with breakfast vouchers you can get a brioche, coffee and juice at a baker just a minute away (I do recommend the crème brioche, so good!). Minor quick-fix is the fact that the air conditioning didn’t seem to be working at the time of our stay. Would stay here anytime!

We were pleasantly surprised about the wonderful room. It was clean and big and very silent. It is located next to Piazzo Maggiore only steps away from everything. The breakfast was at a nearby cafe, very satisfying. We can recommend this place for a stay in Bologna!Great service with the keys!

Downside first - it was a "mission" to check-in. If you don't have global roaming on your phone (let's face it at $20 a minute, most people don't) then communication is hard. I'd ensured that the host knew I was coming days in advance and from the train (Italian trains have Wifi). Mum and I arrived. Nothing. Luckily I have the where-with-all to go into the restaurant next door and some really very kind people helped out...||||Once we were finally met. everything was wonderful. Classic and beautiful old building, located perfectly close to everything but in a quiet area (winter, summer may be different).||||Upside. Great space. Nice room. Mum had a separate double room, I had a small room tucked away. Everything was ultra clean, comfortable and we even had a city view from the portal windows. Was really very cool.||||Fantastic open space with kitchen for breakfast, fridge and a balcony too. Coffee and espresso maker was provided, and well used.||||Breakfast in the morning was provided by walk-in-staff and left ready. It was ok. Nothing special. Well, honestly it wasn't good at all.||||Other than the mishap with check-in and the breakfast - thoroughly recommended. Bologna too. Great surprise, stunning food
