"How did it strike you on arrival?This guest house feels very traditionally Mexican—as does the location, in the heart of Del Carmen, the neighborhood in which Frida Kahlo once lived (her former house, now the Frida Kahlo Museum is just around the corner). Nice. What’s the crowd like?A mix of young and old from all over the world. The good stuff: Tell us about your room.The seven rooms all have a slightly different designs but many have doors to a private/shared terrace or windows that open onto an interior patio. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. Any of that find its way into your suitcase?Where can I buy those printed fabric pillows? Please tell us the bathroom won’t let us down.You're 100 percent Instagramming that Mexican-tile sink. Maybe the most important topic of all: Wi-Fi. What’s the word?Wi-Fi is free and available in every room. Room service: Worth it?There's no room service, but breakfast is included in most reservations and there are plenty of restaurants nearby for lunch and dinner. What was most memorable—or heartbreaking—about your stay?Casa Jacinta already stands out in that there are few hotels in Del Carmen, but the traditional Mexican design and tranquil terraces make it even more of a gem." - Susannah Rigg
