I have been travelling in Latin America for eight months and it was the worst airbnb I have been in. There were a lot of ants in the bathroom and the water was cold. Erica tried to help us and she made it a little bit warmer but after a few minutes it was frozen again and sometimes the flow of the water was really weak. She tried again but couldn't fix it so she wanted to give us another room but the water was cold there too. Then, the hosts made some excuses like "hot water is not included", "It happens in all of San Jose" and such. We cancelled the reservation and went to another place like two hours after arriving there.

Decent location. It is quick to walk to the main parks and museums. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast that is included is quite filling. Our two queen-size bed room was spacious. It was nice to have a bar-size fridge in the room.

The owner was very nice and extremely accommodating to us leaving early the next morning after our arrival. Property has a beautiful garden and is in an excellent part of town. The rooms are rustic but provide a nice view and have basic and necessary amenities. Good for someone seeking a real traveler experience.

Excellent hotel, very familiar, niece service, very clean, no luxury, with a marvelous terrace for breakfast or just to sit there and read. I loved the warm welcome and the service. Rooms are big and have an extra bed. Simple but nice and warm. Definitely I will come back!

It was the perfect place for our overnight stay in San Jose. The owner hooked us up with a yummy restaurant name and it was just what we needed after traveling all day! The room was exactly as described. Breakfast there is best eaten in the garden to hear the birds. Thank you so much for helping us start off our adventure and hosting us!

Nice location, and everyone is friendly. The beds are comfy, but I was never able to dial a decent picture in on the TV. The biggest problem: Smoking is allowed in the courtyard. We had a room without AC, and it was right under the smokers' favorite spot to stink up the air.

The rooms close to the reception have no noise cancellation whatsoever. You can hear every word spoken at the reception and breakfast from the room. If you want to have a good night rest, this is definitely not the place to go to. Other than that, staff seems helpful and cleanliness is ok. You get what you pay for.

Huge clean rooms. Good showers. Cool old modernist/Art Deco house. Vincent is outstandingly helpful (other staff are good too). He arranged a food delivery after a late arrival from Manuel Antonio (the rains caused a landslide on the highway).
