The staff in general was nice, but not super friendly and the location is good. However there is a lot to improve… my bedroom wasn’t clean and made me feel really uncomfortable and bathrooms on the first day i got to the hostel were very disgusting, however on the 2nd day were a bit cleaner. The hostel doesn’t have a social vibe at all and its really hard to meet people, cause it feels like there is no one there, at least during my stay. The hostel has potential but it definitely doesn’t meet the vibe and reality from the photos you see online.

I really enjoyed my stay Casa Kiwi! The staff are lovely and super helpful. The pool and bar are nice, and there are lots of good spots to chill out and socialise. There's also filtered water and coffee available for free. My only negatives were that the wifi was a bit patchy in my room and on the terrace (but fine if you're near the front desk) and that the ventilation in my room wasn't the best (but also fine as long as you keep the window open). It's in a great location - very close to clubs and bars but has a chill vibe and was quieter at night than I was expecting. I had a late night flight and they were very chill about letting me store my bags and continue to use the facilities for the day after checking out in the morning, which I really appreciated. Would definitely stay here again ♥️

Nice clean facilities, beds were comfy, wifi was great almost everywhere. It had a kitchen and laundry too! Staff were super patient, friendly, and helpful. The rooftop was not great for socialising IMO but I met lots of people in the dorms and they had events like salsa class which I really liked. My only complaints were the lack of shelves in the showers on the first floor and lack of wall plugs by the beds. Other than that, fabulous!

I had an good time here. The employees were polite, and the rooms were well cleaned. I appreciated amenities like the free wifi, and I had a good time watching the Copa America semi-final in the tv theater downstairs. I also liked having a mini-mart nearby for food purchases. There were lots of restaurants and cafes nearby as well, which I appreciated. ||One very minor criticism I have is that for the small footlockers underneath our beds, we had to purchase our own locks if we wanted to keep them locked. However, said locks were not particularly expensive at the supermarket about 20 minutes walk away. You just have to make sure that the lock you get fits the footlocker latch (it can't be one of those rectangular locks). The other minor criticism was that my dorm room could get a little warm during the day, but it really wasn't too bad. ||All in all, for the price, this hostel was a steal! I would definitely recommend it for solo travelers looking for an affordable, yet still safe place to stay at Medellín!

Holy f. Rooms are hot as balls, they melt your gifts and chocolate. Pool finally got cleaned in day four, it was gross. Don't even consider this as wifi. Didn't work in most if the property, inconsistent, often non functional or slow. Only like 2 activities a week Tons of better options. Owner/management cares more about cutting corners these days than delivering past quality. Staff themselves smoke in non-smoking trapped area that puts the smoke into YOUR room directly, leave trash and tons of ash/butts around. Even if signs were in French they still wouldn't care. Way to rest on your laurels while this place drowns

Really nice hostel. Private rooms are spacious. All areas were clean and we'll kept. Received a free drink voucher on arrival. Good location, close to busy area but far enough away from the noise. Would recommend for a quiet stay in Medellin

This was the worst hostel I’ve ever stayed at. I checked in at night and the front desk didn’t speak any English at all which made it a bit harder. They showed me to my room and showed me nothing else at all, i had to find the bathrooms on my own. The bathroom i found had no toilet paper or paper towels and was very dirty and gross. When I found the closer bathroom it had paper but also dirty and gross. The beds had no outlets nearby and nothing else to make it feel more comfy besides the fleece blanket which I did like. Also the WiFi worked really well in the room. I found other bathrooms on the property that were not so gross so maybe it’s just the forgotten part of the hostel that I got stuck in. Seems like they have other cool things and amenities on the property but not enough to make me want to stay here. The best part about this place is the location, that’s it.

The hostel is right in the heart of the great neighbourhood of El Poblado but far from any noise. Amazing to be about and about as a solo traveller and sleep properly. Also, the Colombian permanent staff are the loveliest people that provide a service with kindness, generosity and joy. Very nice experience :)
