Casa Kraken Hostel

The location of the hostel is very nice and central, but there were some things I didn’t like about it…. - No curtains on the beds/no privacy - AC in the room but they will not turn it on - rooms facing the street are super loud because you cannot sleep in the heat with windows closed - No hosted social activities - the WiFi is not working and super slow - The kitchen incl. fridge is locked during night, so no cold drinks etc. If they improved it, I would be more than happy to come again.

Had a great couple days stay at this hostel! The place is super clean and the staff are incredibly welcoming and inviting. Yoss made great recommendations and was always a friendly hello. Nohemí took us to a beautiful beach and later on took us on a hike up to the Mirador to see the sunset. When I went the bar wasn't open but it was ok because the front desk has beers you can buy. There are a few annoyances like sometimes the wifi struggles and I do wish the beds had privacy curtains, but relatively minor details on a great hostel!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My Home Away From Home at Casa Kraken Hostel! 🐙❤️ The vibes are super welcoming I can't recommend Casa Kraken enough—especially to anyone traveling alone who's a little hesitant. You shouldn't be, because this place will wrap you up in good vibes and make you feel right at home. A big thank you to Adela😍 , the wonderful boss of the Hostel😃and the amazing volunteers❣️ Salma and Joselyn who were incredibly kind, helpful, and made my stay truly special.

Adela and the hostel are amazing. The hostel is a beautiful place, I love all of the plants and art work. The rooftop is wonderful for relaxing and watching the sunset. Great location, right by the malecón.

Perfect spot in PV. Excellent views, location is perfect and staff are incredible. Free breakfast!!! I'd highly recommend this place if you're ever coming to Puerto Vallarta!

First experience at a hostel and enjoyed it very much. Staff was friendly and helpful. A/C in dorms from 10pm - 8am only, so probably not for you if you enjoy mid-day naps but otherwise I highly recommend Casa Kraken Hostel.

This Hostel hits all the marks, stellar location 1-2 blocks from the beach boardwalk and best part of town to be based out of, super clean, secure, friendly staff, great breakfast included. The aesthetic is cool and the whole building has an interesting layout, lots of stairs, common areas, balconies and sweet view of the church and mountains behind and the ocean in front from the top floor. Bus stop right outside. I would absolutely go back!

A beautiful hostel run by great people. Super friendly and social atmosphere, and the staff organize days trips to beaches and waterfalls nearby and going out to some of the bars and clubs. Location is perfect, so much to do within walking distance. I made a lot of good friends here and would love to come back. Would highly recommend to any solo traveler who wants to meet people and explore what Puerto Vallarta has to offer.
