Casa La Cartujita

Beautiful boutique hotel in a great location. The staff is superior and always willing to help. The room was beautiful and sparkling clean. Nights in this hotel are quiet but an easy walk to all sites. Breakfast was made to order and delicious. I hope I will get to visit again.

This Boutique hotel exceeded all my expectations. To start the employees could not be any nicer. From Alberto and Maria Isabel at the front desk , the girls in the kitchen that make your breakfast every morning fresh and delicious, the guys that take care of the pool areas so that they are always clean , the girls that clean the rooms. Congratulations to the management for hiring such awesome people. The location is in an upscale area close to the best plazas and restaurants. So close to the city walls that you can take strolls at sunset. At the same time walking distance to all attractions. Will definitely come back ! ❤️❤️

Location is wonderful - in a clean, safe, less busy part of the historic walled city just a few feet from a lovely park and lovely restaurants / shops. The interior looks just like the photos, but keep in mind that this is a small, intimate hotel with only 7 rooms; the rooms run a bit small and the pool is miniscule but very cute. The soap / shampoo / lotion are L'Occitane, which I LOVED. The towels are thick and soft. Robes in each room was a nice touch. But please tell me - why no blankets? We wanted to keep the AC on all night (Cartagena is 80 degrees and humid even at night) and snuggle under blankets, but this hotel literally had ZERO blankets! So they brought us like 6 sheets and we slept under mountains of sheets. Also - there were not enough outlets. You'll have to unplug the lamp and TV to get enough outlets to charge two phones and two watches. Breakfast was yummy with table service - like ordering at a restaurant.

Great small boutique hotel (only 7 rooms) on a quiet block in Cartagena. Feels more like a renting a private home. Fresh cooked to order breakfast was included. Staff was very friendly. Very safe and very quiet. Rooms on the smaller side though.

An excellent small hotel in the center of the old town! Great room with good bedding and beautiful interior! Great breakfast and wonderful service. Calm and pleasant environment. We enjoyed our stay a lot🙂👍

A wonderful haven in the historic district of Cartagena. Behind a discreet door you will find a great boutique hotel. No fuss. Simple and highly comfortable. Service is at the top. Breakfasts are good and generous. I stayed in the Maia room which has a balcony opening on a quiet street. Go!

I would definitely stay here again in exactly the same room. Although at first I thought the air conditioner was noisy, it cooled thé room quickly and worked well to block out any ambient noise from the town meaning I slept like a baby for 6 nights (we extended our stay). This is a quiet end of town but close to enough bars and restaurants. Breakfast is delicious and cooked to order and the team are super helpful and smiley. Our favourite place in Colombia

This was our second stay with Casa La Cartujita (we stayed there before the pandemic). It is located in a quieter part of the Walled City (further from the busiest touristy areas), but still within short walking distances of many top-notch restaurants and shops. The staff is very accommodating. Not everyone spoke English well, but we never had any issues communicating. They make a very tasty breakfast to order, with several great options. The rooms were clean and spacious. We had a street-facing room with a nice balcony for evening people watching. The double pane windows were awesome - we didn't hear any noise from the street. Most rooms are upstairs (~1 flight of stairs). Staff is helpful with the bags, but something to keep in mind if anyone has issues with mobility. Overall, an excellent stay!
