Casa Ladico is a pleasant boutique hotel with many plus points, but also some drawbacks.||It is perfectly situated in Mahon with everywhere easy to reach. Many restaurants are within walking range & vary from cheap to outrageous in price.|It is nicely decorated with fantastic staff who a really helpful & recommended places to eat, all of which were really excellent. Breakfasts are good, freshly cooked to order & have unlimited tea, coffee, cakes & pastries. The garden is small but pleasant & there is a small plunge pool. Tea, coffee, pastries & honesty bar are all available.||However, our room (14) was small, dark (lighting was poor) & the shower floor needed work as the sealant was coming off & there was a dark crack across the floor. There was very little storage & our cases just took up what little room was left. The bed was very comfortable though & air con was easily adjustable plus very efficient.|.|Problems arose when a fire alarm went off at 2am. There are no staff on site at night, so we all trooped out into the street. We tried the emergency phone numbers the hotel provided but none worked & just pinged us around. Luckily a Spanish guest called the police who arrived after 20 or so minutes. They went in & 10 minutes later said all was well. The other negative point is that there is piped music in the public areas. It can be a tad overpowering & annoying, but that is very much a personal view. ||Did we enjoy our stay? Mostly, yes. Mahon is delightful, Menorca is relaxing & Casa Ladico perfectly situated & If you are aware of the drawbacks the hotel is fine.||

Excellent experience. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and hope to try one of the other Bordoy hotels in the future. I made the mistake of coming to Mahon in the last days of the annual town festival, when many businesses were closed, and the streets were literally trashed from partygoers. In addition, there was a massive rainstorm that made it necessary to stay indoors. This hotel was a beacon of calm and beauty that saved my trip. The staff are so kind, the rooms are beautiful and well equipped, and the outdoor area is lovely. Great breakfast. Mahon is a very pleasant town that I would return to.

Stayed here twice now and will continue to return. Service superb, breakfast of the best quality and presentation, bed linen and cleanliness excellent. Beautiful decoration and design. Back street location couldn't be better - only a few minutes walk from the centre and marina. Lovely restaurants as well as cheaper eats all around. Art galleries and lots to see and do, great for adults.

This hotel is beautiful, cosy luxury. If you want waiting on 24/7 this isn’t for you but if you want somewhere to relax and where they have thought of all the small details this place is a gem. Staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, honesty bar, delicious coffee and cakes available throughout the day and a complimentary mini bar just some of the thoughtful touches. Would love to stay again

Our third stay here and it’s like coming home. The lovely Anna was there to welcome us and we were soon settled in. The whole hotel is spacious, clean and well set out. Being an old building the bedroom has a high ceiling and plenty of storage space. The controls of the walk in shower are easy to use, the water pressure and temperature are both good. The enclosed terrace with small swimming pool at the rear of the property is a great added bonus. There is a good selection of food for breakfast, both self service and cooked alternatives freshly made to order. Freshly squeezed orange juice is wonderful. |However, the outstanding feature of this hotel is the staff. Reception staff are caring and helpful, breakfasts are served in a friendly and efficient manner and rooms are serviced to a high standard.|We had a personal problem, which delayed our departure, and the help we received from Luisa went way beyond what you would expect from a member of staff. We are so grateful to her for her caring attitude.

We were really disappointed with our stay. Paying 5 star prices for a hotel with zero staff present for over 50% of the day we found to be absolutely bizzare.||||We arrived at around 2pm, which is for some reason outside the hours of a human being being present at the hotel desk. So we were left a keycard on the checkin desk with our name on it, which meant we got no information about the hotel from staff, how things worked, cost of breakfast etc on our arrival. We were simply left to figure things out for ourselves. || ||We were disappointed from the get go, no staffed bar and an “honesty” bar system where you can make your own drinks in a mini bar with not even any ice cubes. Not 5 star standard whatsoever. You would expect from a 5 star hotel to be offered a drink sitting on the patio. ||||Breakfast is around 15 euro each per night with no options other than eggs and toast with a few toppings and a couple of uncovered pastries left out with flies flying around the breakfast area. On top of this, we were also not made aware of the cost of this as we had no staff tell us any details about the breakfast situation in the hotel, so we were very surprised about this on checkout. On day one, we were summoned into the breakfast area and not made aware of if this was included or not in our stay. Everything about this very misleading and unfair. ||||Our room was the only redeeming quality of the hotel but we had air conditioning issues where the only setting was ice cold and we found it hard to sleep with it being too hot with it off, too cold with it on.||||Unlike the many reviews we read, we found the staff to be quite dismissive and standoffish towards us.||||The cherry on top of the cake for us was the fire alarm going off at 2am, and every single guest standing in the street for 30 minutes while the police were called. Not a single member of staff is in the premises outside the few hours in the morning and 4 hours in the evening, so no one was on site to deal with this. Not a single apology from the staff on checkout for this inconvenience and the last night of our stay being ruined for us. ||||Overall, with breakfast included we paid close to 800 euro in the off season for 3 nights accommodation in Mahón, with subpar service. This hotel felt more like a nicely decorated 3 star. The pool is tiny which is fine for a boutique hotel, but also looked like it needed a very good clean with debris and bandaids floating along the bottom of it.||||Avoid, plenty of other nice hotels in the area for half the price this time of year.

Having the most perfect mini break at Casa Ládico - the location is great, slap bang in the middle of town but quiet and peaceful. A little oasis with a pool. We have a room with terrace which has been lovely. The breakfast is out of this world - my favourite omelette cooked to perfection every morning. The staff here just can’t do enough to help you, from restaurant recommendations to car hire reservations - their service has been seamless. I booked this little gem based on the reviews - you should to, you won’t be disappointed.

Right in the centre of Mahon this boutique hotel is perfectly situated but also very peaceful. Beautiful bedroom with lovely comfortable bed. The swimming pool area has deckchairs for relaxing and we were lucky enough to have done lovely sunshine
