I stayed with my husband and small dog in this lovely guesthouse for 3 days. It was one of the nicest experiences in a hotel-like setting I've ever had (tend to stay in self catered flats). The room was bright and clean, with a lovely view. The whole guest house is gorgeous with loads of tile work. What made our stay truly wonderful were the hosts, Encarna and Paco. They answered any questions we had, obliged to sell us nice bottles of wine at a low price and set out glasses for us etc so we could enjoy wine on the roof terrace which is open all the time, and were really sweet to our little dog as well. Encarna has a cousin that does a musical walking tour of the village, which I highly recommend and will be writing a separate review for. Excellent stay, and we will definitely return!

One evening during our travels in Spain we ended up in this beautiful little town and decided to stay the night. We called Casa Leonor at the last minute and luckily they had a room available. Because the streets can be difficult to navigate someone met us in the plaza and gave us directions. After we finished our dinner hours later, we were met warmly by Gustavo in the lobby as he was expecting us. Gustavo was an excellent host! We chatted for quite some time with him while enjoying another glass of lovely Spanish wine. In the morning we had coffee and breakfast with Paco who made a number of recommendations for sightseeing in the surrounding area. It was very helpful! The next night, after visiting many other towns in the area, we decided to return to Casa Leonor because our first experience was so great. If you are in Vejer de la Frontera we highly recommend staying here. The beds are comfortable and clean, the hot water never turned cold in the shower, the casa itself was well-appointed and quaint, and the hosts were hospitable, friendly, and a pleasure to meet!

We spent a few days in the little studio apartment here and had a great time. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts; they made sure we had everything we needed, and managed to do this without asking us first! The apartment is small, but well equipped with extremely comfortable beds, and the bedrooms are also of a high standard. They were also absolutely sweet with my noisy four year old.||The location is right in the heart of the old town, (so beware if you have very heavy luggage) and very quiet, although close to many bars and restaurants. ||The roof terrace is lovely, with fine views of the sea and Morocco.||A wonderful place to stay in this most beguiling of towns-many thanks to all the staff.

We stayed at Casa Leonor for two days in August. Located almost in the center of the old town of Vejer it is not accessible by car - we had been warned in advance and found our way to the Plaza de Espana in the centre of the old town, phoned the hotel and five minutes later Paco arrived to take us to a parking place, and help with our bags. There is very little parking in the old town, the majority of parking is on the roads that go round the south and east of the old town, be prepared for cobbled streets, but Casa Leonor is not that far by foot from anywhere in the old town.||||The property is authentic, genuine, rustic comfortable and numerous other expletives. It is family owned and run.||||Our room was on the first floor, and could be described as quirky, the bed was very comfortable. Only minor comment was the shutters rattled in high wind at night when they were left open.||||The welcome and service we received from Gustovo and Paco, two of the family members, would be impossible to better!! Both mornings they prepared a lovely breakfast, far more than we could manage, with more than ample (exceptionally good) coffee, tea and juice. The hosts were ready to talk at any time, very interesting people, and natives of Vejer who demonstrated a mass of local knowledge.||||We enjoyed it so much we decided to stay another two nights, unfortunately no rooms were available - it was the middle of the season - and we left with sadness in our hearts.||||We had hoped to return during the autumn but unfortunately time didn't permit.||We'd like to use this medium to express our gratitude to the owners for the hospitality we enjoyed. We could not recommend Casa Leonor highly enough if you want an absolute getaway.

We spent two nights in Casa Rural Leonor. The city is so lovely that you do not want to go away!!! It is not easy to find the place...and unfortunately, you have to leave your car relatively far from the Casa Rural. But when we arrived, we called and Gustavo explained to us where to park. While parking, Paco arrived and helped us to bring the luggage to the hotel. It is not easy but they made it easy!!! Then Paco explained to us everything we could do there. He was so friendly that made our stay very nice. Very important: ask for the phone number and call them from the Plaza Espania. They will take care.||The place is very clean, we had the biggest room and I strongly recommend that room (a double bed and a single bed, lot of space).||If we are back, we will go back there!!!

Paco was there to meet us...The house is a steep climb up with luggage but once you drop things off, exploring is easy. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast is coffee and toast, typical of southern Spain...Wifi not great in the room but works fine in hallways

I stayed at Casa Leonor for 5 days in January. It is a lovely place, very original, genuine, and rustic. The owner could not do enough for me, and provided me with a wonderful breakfast every morning. Yes, it is a bit difficult to find initially, and one has to park a distance away, but this is Vejer where parking is a problem at most places. I would stay here again.
