We loved our stay. Small and friendly, perfect location, warm and comfortable, clean and spacious, WiFi good. ideal for our 4 nights. Friendly hotel managers Alina, Anna and Svetlana, fluent English, gave us the chance to ‘meet’ some locals and learn more about Russia. Our poached eggs were cooked perfectly by Olga. We borrowed some UK plugs as we forgot those. We used the kitchen fridge and a pot of earl grey was never a problem, nor printing items. The five rooms form part of the first floor in an old mansion. Two minutes walk from Metro Admiraltyskaya, bus 22, 3 so easy to get around, but we mostly walked. If you want a personable stay away from the main tourist hotel areas, Casa Leto is perfect.|The shared secure entrance, and hallway to first floor landing, where our hotel is, was initially a shock, but once we understood the converted building architecture, all was ok. With fewer rooms, understandably, breakfast has less food options to major hotels, no problem for us.

We stayed 5 nights at Casa Leto and the staff made our stay quite enjoyable. From our first communication this past winter, they have been efficient and very helpful. They answered all our questions in regards to our Visa application and the invitation letter arrived very quickly once we booked our stay. This small hotel has 5 rooms and is very well located and a short walk to the Hermitage. There is a small breakfast area and the food is served at your table. Anna and Alina made our stay perfect by answering all our questions and by helping us plan some of our outings. Merci beaucoup Alina pour ta gentillesse!

This botique hotel is a real find. Steps from the much more expensive Waldorf the hotel is perfectly situated. Rooms are on the second floor so expect to carry your bags up. The small staff are attentive offering tea or coffee during mid-day. Breakfast is simple - eggs with ham, cheese, or tomato, cereal and yogurt. The rooms are large by american standards. The place is quiet except for some mechanical hum in the walls from time to time. In room safe.

To start with: if you arrive with taxi, you need to tell the driver the address, not the name of the hotel -- this is a small hotel, with just a sign on the wall and ordinary looking door. Upon opening the door you are in for a bit of a shock: the stone stairs are old and worn out, and there's a definite smell of a basement. But some thirty stairs upwards there's the real entrance to the hotel, and after that everything changes.||||The place is run by a small staff, and the reception is always attended by a friendly girl speaking English. The rooms are really high, as the building is old. We appreciated this a lot, we did not run out of air as in some modern hotels. The window could be opened, and although the street is one of the bigger ones, there was no disturbing traffic at night.||||The breakfast was modest: coffee, toast, yoghurt, cereal, juice, two eggs cooked the way you liked. No cold cuts, but it was adequate to get us started.||||The location could not be better. Easy walking distance, in between St Isaac's church and the Heremitage.

Casa Leto is run by a terrific group of staff who really care about customer satisfaction. Nothing was a problem for them, particularly Alina who helped organise a few things before we arrived. ||A renovation had recently taken place so our room and bathroom were very new, clean and modern. ||The breakfast includes eggs cooked to order, which is a nice touch. Other than that it’s quite basic though. ||Location is a big winner.

Excellent location. Very polite staff. compact and cozy! I plan on coming to St. Petersburg immediately.Good hotel, courteous staff for a reasonable price! A hearty breakfast and a cup of tea or coffee before going to bed is a great compliment from the hotel!

If you are looking for cheap accomondation close to the center of Saint Peterburg, Pururoom hostel is a good place. Most of the staff there spoke some english and were very serviceminded. The rooms were clean and pretty new:). Some hostels do not have staff all the time, but it seemed like there always was someone at Pururoom:). I guess I will be back one day:)

Only 5 rooms, but if you are lucky to book one, you will not be disappointed!||Extremely central location, we walked to all major sites. ||Lots of eateries close by.||Hotel staff were extremely helpful...recommending restaurants and booking them for us. Also booked our taxi to airport, at a fixed price, so no shocks at the airport for us!!||Rooms all looked extremely large...new bathrooms, underfloor heating in ours! Dressing gowns/toiletries/water all the little extras you would normally find in a 5* hotel.||Breakfast a delight and every time we came in from exploring, we were offered free tea/coffee.||Very good room rate, more than half the price of the nearby hotel Angleterre.||Do not be put off by the foyer/entrance area.....it does not look at all like a hotel, but go up the steps and through the door and you then will be delighted!
