Unfortunately staying at this place turned out to be one of the most traumatic and scariest experiences of my life. On my second night there, someone attempted to break into my room. I woke up startled and my screaming scared off the intruder. I later found out that the electrified fence that surrounds and protects the property was not working. This was not communicated at all.
In my shaken state, I called the property manager since I’m not from the area and therefore not familiar with how to contact local authorities. You would expect the owner to promptly call the police, file a report or do something — anything! Instead, they were extremely dismissive and did not treat the incident with the urgency and attention it deserved given the fact that the burglar was still on the loose. Not wanting to stay there another second, I was forced to figure out transportation and alternate housing stay on my own. During all of this nobody checked in on me or offered to assist. Thankfully I speak Spanish and could fend for myself. I’m fortunate that this did not end up worse and hope this review warns others from staying at a property with such a lack of regard for safety.
Also, wifi very slow for working.
