I love the Casa Loma! The rooms are beautiful. The location is the best on the beach. It’s the little and thoughtful details that make us feel at home. A share library, a beach toys share box, the beach staff making sure we know the important water safety tips when necessary. Extra emphasis when the water is rough, the option of a clean pool, the staff is always friendly and welcoming. Close to all the local activities 🩷

Loved Casa Loma! Rooms were clean and loved the retro vibe. Had the choice of 1st or second floor. Should have gotten second because it was at parking lot level so we had to go downstairs to get to room but that was okay. Stairs are a little steep. There is no elevator but we managed. Beautiful views and staff was super nice.

Never judge a book by its cover. I'm used to fancy overpriced hotels. So when my Goddaughter picked this place I was upset. How wrong was I? It doesn't have an elevator and I have hip and back problems. I'm glad them stairs didn't change my mind. My family and I had a WONDERFULTIME. The A/C did it's job. It was so cold I had to set it to 78°. The bed was nice and comfortable. The room smelled fresh and it was clean. It had plenty of space for me and my two 13-year-old boys. Love the big refrigerator and microwave for our drinks and leftovers. The room had an electric stove/oven If, I wanted to cook (bring cookware). I can't say anything negative. The staff was friendly and helpful. The night Security and a friend offer to help me with getting up and down the stairs. Even the guests was helpful and friendly. When I can't stay at my usual place this will be my next pick.

Stayed here for my birthday weekend vacation from Georgia and it definitely exceeded my expectations!!! The customer service was impeccable. The staff was friendly from check to check out! The rooms were very clean and cool upon arrival. There was no wait to check we were able to check in early. The balcony view was amazing and the location was great just steps away from the pool and beach! ⛱️ Safe to say this will be my choice of stay whenever visiting Panama!

Google
While this is an older hotel, our stay was absolutely wonderful! The staff was incredibly friendly—when we arrived in the evening, both the desk clerk and the security guard gave us a warm welcome. The location is perfect: centrally located with super easy beach access. Parking seemed a bit limited at first, but I was able to find a spot without any trouble. Our room was clean and nicely decorated, with a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot, which was a great convenience. The bathroom was a little small and dated, but honestly, how much time do you spend there on vacation anyway? No, it’s not the most luxurious hotel on PCB, but for the price, it’s an exceptional value. We’d definitely stay again!

Google
Great place to get away for a few days. It's not as big and fancy as the other hotels on the strip, but they were still very nice and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and everything was clean.

Google
We (4) stayed two nights at Casa Loma on Saturday and Sunday nights. The rate was good. The hotel is a short walk to the beach. The room was nice. There is kitchen in the room. The bathroom was small and dated. The beach was good but had seaweed. The sunset was nice. The check in process was quick. We cooked easy food. The area was safe.

It bothers me to write this review, but I am extremely unhappy with my most recent experience with the person who handled MY accidental double reservation. Seriously, upon my very own error, I accidentally doubled booked and I called the hotel to confirm my booking and even said I think I accidentally doubled book but I never received an email from the first booking earlier in the day. She then asks me why I didn’t call the hotel THEN and seemed very put off and was unpleasant on the phone. I am truly sorry for causing you more work and luckily it was within the 72 hour cancellation policy. Be advised! If you choose to book on their website an email is not sent right away or within 4-5 hours of when you booked, spam included, and there is no pending transactions on your bank account. Hence why I was confused and without wanting to call, unfortunately went directly onto their website and booked another room… Oopsie!!!!! 😬 I’ve been coming to Casa Loma since 2017 and I have always had amazing experience with the staff. Even during their remodeling. This has been my go to spot with it being tucked away from the main “downtown” area. Unfortunately, the encounter I experienced today, is not worth my return.

Yelp
This place is amazing! I love it here so much. It is peaceful and the staff are friendly. Check in was easy and I have been here over 7 days now and each day I love it here a little more. Definitely worth the trip to Florida. I will be coming back each year.

Karen M.

Yelp
For the price, you can't beat this location! No frills room but loved the deck overlooking pool / beach view. Was an ideal spot for a quick getaway. Easy walking / driving distance to PCB restaurants as well.

James R.

Yelp
It is great going to sleep with the Gulf Waves, giving you a Lullaby. Smart people spend very little time in their room. I think the best rooms are on the fourth floor. This is above the palm trees where the palmetto bugs like to hang out. The bathrooms are a little small and dated, but the shower was good-sized. Employees are very friendly, and if they can not help, they will point you in the direction of those who can. A great help is the beach warning flags ate right next to the hotel. If you are looking for a hotel that is immaculate. Stay at a 5-star hotel. If you want a less expensive hotel with staff working hard to make a family-friendly stay...this is a good place to stay.

Yelp
We planned a very last minute day trip to PCB and booked our hotel room about 5 hours before we would arrive. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived around 10pm. The aesthetic of the exterior was very appealing and inviting. Bright, cheerful colors. Well-lit parking lot. Easy access parking. The interior of the room did not disappoint either. Room was very comfy and efficient. Kitchenette with the necessary minimal supplies. Double beds with a sitting area and a small dinette table and chairs. The shower was great! Large shower floor with great water pressure. The downside was that the bathroom sink was outside of the bathroom. I for one like privacy to brush my teeth. Beds slept well. A/C was of arctic proportions. I froze while the rest of the family soaked it up. We never went outside of the room that some of the staff was not cleaning something. Always. Great access to the beach. Beautiful view from balcony (every room overlooks the pool and beach). Backside of property could use a little paint but not dilapidated by any means. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
This is the kind of place I used to love going with my family as a teenager. Perfect for families or couples making a quick getaway like we did from Fort Myers. The front desk staff was awesome, straightforward and informative. Each room has a beachfront view and what a beach it is. The sea is a light turquoise blue and pristine. I'm not sure if the prices during season, but we found it very reasonable off season at below $300 with free parking in the height of summer.

Jacoby K.

Yelp
Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Room got flooded because of a room upstairs drain wasn't working correctly. Got transferred to another room and drain didn't even work when showering, drain overflowed in seconds. Maintenance guy said he would discount the room but management disagreed. Pool was cloudy and burned our skin. Vending machines don't work. Poor management and doesn't cater to customers. Literally the worst. Gave us 20 dollars off of beach chairs which the beach chair guy said "we only got discount becuase the day was half way over". Very dishonest staff and had to rebooked at another hotel due to poor conditions and dirty. Would never recommend to any human, may be good for doggy day care.

Carla P.

Yelp
Outdated and no accessibility to the beach. No elevators and a chore to get to the ocean !

Joe S.

Yelp
Second stay. Both times nice staff. Easy beach access. Security in parking area, easy in and out at light. Parking sometimes crowded. Furniture upgrade since first visit. Nice new furniture and plank flooring. Remodel plus Had to empty dehumidifier, one would expect standard room service, or patio draining system, but no big deal. Plantation shutters nicer than drapes or shades but many slats already broken. Kitchen cabinet ratty, wall bad repairs. New fridge. Toaster had crumbs let in it. No ice maker nor trays, so bring your own or traipse to office to ice machines. In suite and separate bedroom spacious and separate balcony. Classy lighted headboard but no way to turn off except to move mattress and unplug from wall. No outlet near bed for phone charge / clock so bring long extension cord. Cannot plug in fancy furniture so you will have to plug in vacant wall outlet. Did not try fancy furniture charging plug since outlets were unusable, and located at foot of bed so not handy for bedside needs. Wifi extremely slow at night. No bandwidth for night user load. Would revisit, love location and price. Remodel a good try, but falls short on several detail levels for practical use.

Мaksym S.

Yelp
I stayed in the hotel for two nights and I can't say that I was satisfied, the room is dirty, the shower is dirty, the air conditioner is old. Also Wi-Fi, which seemed to be there, but did not load even ordinary websites, because its speed is very slow. I do not recommend anyone to stay at the hotel.

Kalen S.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my stay at Casa Loma. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was perfect and conveniently located on the strip. The pool and beach access were very nice. The view from my room was stunning. I also had a mini fridge and microwave. I have absolutely no complaints and would definitely stay here again.

Graham H.

Yelp
Fun little old-school motel in PCB. All rooms look out on the Gulf, and everything is tidy. My room has a fridge, microwave and coffee maker plus two comfortable beds. It's still off-season, so I can't weigh in on the pool yet (may get to try before I leave), but there's a nice piece of beach out there, and the location is terrific. Nice staff too. Whole vibe is more or less mid-century modern with decor to match. I'm digging it.

Will O.

Yelp
Second time staying here and could not recommend more! Front office staff were so kind and welcoming. You have a great view of the water and easy access to the beach. The balconies don't have much privacy but your at the beach go to the beach.

Jesse S.

Yelp
Never before have I been made to feel more unwelcome than by Tiana at Casa Loma. She single handedly talked us out of staying at what appeared to otherwise be a decent establishment by insulting us, being rude and dismissive, and above all, unwilling to show the slightest bit of hospitality. I rarely leave poor reviews, but I'll make an exception this time because of the above mentioned.

Iphone E.

Yelp
There's no bed bugs it was a really nice place to stay in there was a small bathroom and 2 beds, microwave and a fridge also a coffee maker and also had a beautiful view of the beach.

Heather F.

Yelp
Hope you're up to date on your tetanus vaccine. Great location but everything else leaves a lot to be desired. Ants in the bed. Broken appliances. Just gross. Booked somewhere else.

Angie T.

Yelp
Have you ever had one of those days, weeks, months where you just had to leave and go somewhere? This happened to me recently. Well, technically yesterday. The news, people, just everything. So what's a girl to do? Gas up the whip and keep driving South. I ended up HERE Casa Loma! Hotel: situated in Panama City Beach, on the beach! Amenities and surroundings: All rooms comes with clean rooms, coffee maker, and the best view and direct access to the beach. Some rooms have a small kitchenette area, some on the first floor do not have good beach views. Room: My room was clean with a private balcony of good size! My bed was comfy with sheets that smelled like crisp scents of bleach. *That's a plus for me*. Some people wrote that the rooms need updating . I see this in 2 parts. Yes they may, however I am one that can adapt to something old as long as it is clean, and nice. My room was fab. Rate: my rate was Fab Fab Fab. Winter rates are in 50s y'all!!!! I booked through Hotels.com on the fly. Con: no elevators but you can request a ground floor. I'm on the chunky side so I didn't mind walking up and down. In General: they have my business forever. The staff is superb!!! Very friendly. The area is easy to navigate with a few places to eat and drink *which is where I am going right after this post* don't judge me. Hahaha Please, Please, Please support this business Take a break from madness for a weekend before the crowds hit.

Denise N.

Yelp
Horrible place, save yourself by passing this one by. We stayed five nights there on a rock hard bed. It was a thin mattress on a hard plastic base -- no box spring. Upon arrival, we complained about the bed but was told by the head maintenance man that all the beds were that way. Toilet seat was loose. The door to balcony would not shut flush against door frame. The last night the wind was 23 mph and the door kept flopping open pulling the chain lock. When we arrived, there was a plastic bag stuffed in the bottom inside corner of the door. The water pressure is horrible and water temp varies during trying to shower. The two chairs are uncomfortable and there is no table to eat on. The outside lounge chairs around the pool are even uncomfortable.

Danica N.

Yelp
Hotel was clean and super close to the beach!!! Not crowded and all rooms have a small balcony overlooking the beach...great pool and staff also. Great stay for a quick trip...has a coffee pot,,,mini fridge and small microwave...air conditioner super cold too

Kennedy O.

Yelp
This place was disgustingly unsanitary. Bugs crawling around the bathrooms, roaches, ants. The shower had all types of stains and rust. The toilets had piss stains on them. The staff were far from welcoming. View is nice though. I wouldn't recommend, get a sanitary hotel and avoid having to pay for a tetanus shot.

Dave B.

Yelp
We selected Casa Loma as an inexpensive off-season alternative to staying in a national chain hotel. Four nights (incl. Fri-Sat) for two queen sized beds and kitchenette totaled $335, which is pretty reasonable. This is an older beachfront hotel (and it shows) but the room was clean and everything worked reasonably well. Hits: A great view of the gulf, private outdoor balcony with chairs, friendly staff, good location in PCB, low price and a clean heated outdoor pool. Also no deposit required when we made the reservation. MIsses: Confined parking lot with small spaces make navigating a large vehicle very challenging. One of their employees had to help us back out of a parking space to avoid bumping into other cars. Also, we had a couple of guests stop by for a visit, and they had to park 1/2 mile away with a window sticker or be towed. We arrived late Sunday night, with NO available parking spots and were directed to a section of grass that served as parking. TV picture quality was pretty bad and the shower dripped constantly and would make the floor wet. And ice machines were located next to the office, with no elevator available. All in all, we would stay again for the price and location.

Morgan B.

Yelp
There were live cockroaches in broad daylight; on both the balcony and several in the mini fridge crawling out and through the room. The video is of one cockroach crawling on one of the blue mesh chairs inside the hotel room. We asked when booking if the hotel had received any complaints of bugs and were assured they hadn't. We stayed in our room a total of a few hours and left before 7pm. I spoke with the front desk and was assured that we would be given a refund as long as we checked out on booking .com first. They charged a cancellation fee due to several beer cans left in the room (there was two empty and two full, unopened cans left in the room), trying to change a room (I'm not staying somewhere that has cockroaches), and not finding cockroaches, (I have video and offered to show the front desk and they declined to see it). I will be challenging those fees.

Izzyb1 C.

Yelp
I DO NOT recommend staying here. This is a very old hotel. The pictures are much outdated. And the reviews CANNOT be real. We recently booked 3 nights here believing the pictures and the recent reviews online, but it was such a disappointment. Here are some pictures. My pictures are what it really looks like as of July, 2022.

Cynthia J.

Yelp
DONT recommend, they have cockroaches at night. We killed more than twenty at 3 in the morning and slept with the lights on. It looks like they wanted to renovate/update their location but it's was on a budget and they didn't get rid of their og problem PEST. When we told them we wanted a refund because of the bugs. They said okay we will spray ur room. And DIDNT say sorry for that we didn't know. SO THEY KNOW THYE HAVE COCKROACHES. the ppl their are nice if you are.

Amanda F.

Yelp
Casa Loma is the best bang for your buck. Despite a lot of negative reviews, we booked 2 rooms for a week and had a wonderful time. The rooms were clean (we did a mattress inspection ourselves), and just big enough. Every room has a perfect view of the gulf and a nice balcony with chairs. A big pool, grill and beach access is a huge plus. I think maybe this hotel is in the process of renovating because we didn't encounter ANY of the issues other Yelp reviewers did. Friendly staff, no bugs, every appliance worked, everything was clean, and we had modern large flat screen TVs. We saw new shipments of refrigerators dropped off at the office, so I assume there will be more renovations to come. It's not the fanciest place at the beach, but for your average income family, it's perfect. We will definitely be coming back again next summer!

Quincy V.

Yelp
A great place to stay that's right on the beach. Casa Loma is literally beachside, with just a few hundred feet between your room to the water. All rooms also have an ocean view with a balcony. Every room is a great value. The standard rooms have two queen beds with plenty of amenities (fridge, iron, hair dryer). Upgrade to a kitchenette for only a small percentage more. There is also a pool that's nestled between the building and the beach. Not only are the rates here among the lowest around Panama City, but Casa Loma also gives you a pleasant, inviting stay. Upon checking in, I was warmly greeted and offered to stay on any of the four floors of my choice. I recommend a higher level, but the view is still decent on the 1st level. Note that the 2nd level is directly accessible from the parking lot and with no elevator, that is something to keep in mind. Speaking of parking, it's free and they'll give you a placard for your car. You can rest assured knowing that random cars won't be using the lot to park. The only thing keeping this review from 5-stars is that the premises is a bit dated. Don't get me wrong, it won't affect your stay much, if at all. I did find it slightly odd that the room only had one small trash can that was in the bathroom. Regardless, the fact that the rooms are comfortable, affordable and with direct beach access, makes Casa Loma a great choice for a Panama City Beach stay. I will definitely be coming back!

Ann W.

Yelp
Awesome place to stay just love it great view clean rooms and amazing staff. Will stay again for sure :-)

Carl W.

Yelp
Always enjoy staying at the Casa Loma, older well kept property. Only complaint was they wouldn't honor my 15% off coupon, they said it was only good for 1 year but had no expiration date.

Elijah H.

Yelp
Love the view and when the weather is nice its heavenly. The beds were comfortable, the room was nice and clean, the staff is friendly and helpful and its walking distance to many great things to do. My only complaint are the bathrooms They are just too small and i was extremely disappointed.

Celia S.

Yelp
Don't let the fact that you are right on the beach fool you. You "get what you pay for". Rowdy guests. The people in the room next to me were fighting constantly and they let their savage children scream and jump on the bed continuously. I put up with this on one particular night for 3 hours until 11:30. I knocked on the non-English speaking persons door to ask him to please quit down. He did not open the door. I then called the front desk and she said she would take care of it. She did so by calling the people on the other side of his room and they said they heard no noise. I guess the clerk didn't realize both parties were together! She then asked if I wanted the security guard to come to my room to listen for noise (while I was in bed in my underwear!) Perhaps some management classes are in order if they want to keep guests. Only good thing about this hotel was that it was on the beach. Bathroom size of those in hospitals. Floor of shower was old an weathered. Sink was in the middle of the bedroom. Coffee pot made one large cup of coffee at a time. I would only assume by the size because there was no coffee. Air conditioner loud. No elevator. Not handicapped accessible. Parking lot too small. If you left and there were any left, you would often have to park nowhere near your room or fight with another guest. Pizza joint across the street fair pizza. One size two toppings (black olives and CANNED mushrooms) $27.00! Back to another part of Florida with less rowdy guests and management who cares and addresses problems!

Tony D.

Yelp
If cleanliness is on top of your priority list I would reconsider staying here. When I entered the room the air humidifier had shut down due to a dirty filter. Medication from previous guests was still on the counter. There was a wad of hair still in the shower and some kind of gunk still in the sink. The decor is not vintage, it is old. The Wi-Fi is iffy on whether it will work or not. It didn't more times than it did. Definitely over priced. My one and only visit. The only positives I can offer - It is just off the beach. Private balconies. Parking is limited to hotel guests only.

Jonathan J.

Yelp
Nice spot right on beach. Every room has an ocean view. Family friendly. Pool is nice and the grounds are clean. Old establishment but is kept up well.

Tim A.

Yelp
By accident I booked this hotel one week early to the day in the car coming home from work. When I got home I realized the date was one week early and called to fix this. I did and we spent a week there. When I got my bank statement I realized they had charged me for my booking one week earlier also! They REFUSED to give me any of my money back!!! Tried to blame it on booking.com but they sent us an email that the hotel refused us any payment back and said it was up to their discretion. Must need the money for landscaping lol. Although we did enjoy our time there as far as the room and the beach goes.... this is NOT a kids place. Cantankerous snowbirds run this place and the pool. Had security at the pool every half hour.

Diem L.

Yelp
THIS IS THE WORST PLACE EVER!!!!!! In the history of the entire universe!!!! Rooms were ugly, restroom was small, small parking area, no service in the rooms, refrigerator was not working, wi-fi wasn't working, there was hair in the pool!!! I'm not talking about one or two strands I'm talking about BUNCHES all tangled up in the pool!! EVERYTHING SUCKED!!! The only good thing about it was that we could walk out our door to the beach. THATS IT!! Never again, stay away from this place!!

Lil D.

Yelp
Would definitely stay here again. Not perfect but way cheaper than the other places, especially during high tourist season. Outstanding view and beach access. As mentioned by others, the parking lot is smallish but they don't charge for parking. Close to Pier Park and other attractions. Good value for a beachfront hotel. We had no issues with the room.

Bruce C.

Yelp
Hotel is listed here as Casa Loma Best Western but we did not see any signage that suggested it is affiliated with Best Western. We booked and paid for this room through booking.com, and I am soooo glad we did. Our rate of $109 + tax was considerably lower than the $179 + tax we heard quoted to a caller by the front desk staff while we were checking in. This place, AT BEST, is a $75 a night hotel. It's terrible. The lady who checked us in acted like she was doing us a favor. She wasn't, I promise. We had room 125, first floor. The room itself was attractive at first site ( see the website photos ) Then we pulled the covers back on the bed. Brown stains covered the blankets. There were brown stains on the towels as well. Plaster was falling off the bathroom ceiling. The bottom of the toilet lid was streaked with brown stains. The tv was an old 1990's era tube model. The steps leading down to the room access are continuously blasted with hot air from gas heaters. The fumes are almost overpowering. The outside corridor to the rooms is very institutional in appearance and has wires hanging from electrical boxes in the ceiling. The grounds are well kept and attractive. Very nice view of the ocean with easy beach access. The pool however was very dirty with hair and bugs floating in it. There was a horrible smell at the entrance to the beach access where the hoses to wash your feet are located. Here are a couple good things. There was a full kitchen, which we were not expecting. The floors in the room are tile, which we liked. In summary this place is run down, overpriced and in dire need of updates. There is no hot tub, gas grills, or other amenities to justify the $180 a night rate. We have stayed at other places in Panama City Beach that charge less and have much nicer facilities. I would not recommend staying here.

Cindy J.

Yelp
Well I booked this room and canceled it within the same day due to illness. They were not accommodating at all. They charged me a fee of 149.00 just to cancel. This hotel is money greedy. I would not recommend it at all!

Justin C.

Yelp
Mixed reviews made me nervous but no question our visit was absolutely perfect! Excellent view, friendly staff, as some have said its not a "luxury hotel" but in our experience best price and value in area. Small kitchen area was perfect we saved a TON of money buying local seafood & cooking ourselves, I would come back in a heartbeat, we loved it here! Easy beach access & had practically whole beach to ourselves too.

Jamie S.

Yelp
Passing through found this gem. Right on the beach and a great price. Kerp in mond its not luxury living but it's also not motel 6. Beach access isnt directly from the property. Have to walk a short distance to beach access but worth it. Will stay here again no doubt.

Heather P.

Yelp
Giving this hotel 5 Stars, but it is NOT a luxury 5 star hotel, so please read on! The biggest and best pro to this hotel is that it is DIRECTLY on the beach! Big, beautiful beach, and a lovely pool. Nice landscaping, staff that always seems to be out and about keeping up with things. Decently sized balcony with gorgeous views. From the time I called to book the hotel until arriving the front desk staff has been quite friendly and polite. About the rooms; we have 4 adults ranging from age 22-35 staying in one room. In the room there's a TV, safe, coffee maker and a good sized mini fridge (which we used the heck out of), a desk, a table with a few chairs and 2 sitting chairs. The bathroom is small, but does the trick, shower only, no tub. It's all tiled, floor to ceiling, and the floors of the room are tile, which really makes sense with all the sand. Please keep in mind, these aren't fancy rooms. Somethings in the room are a little worn or dated, but the beds are comfortable, the AC is nice and cold, there's plenty of fresh towels and it's clean. Bottom line, if you want a great deal on a clean room ON THE BEACH, this is your hotel. If you're gonna be picky about how fancy and new your room looks, skip it. But we are happy with our choice and thrilled to be directly on the beach. Thanks Casa Loma!

Tim T.

Yelp
I would avoid this place purely based on my customer service experience. I booked a room for 2 nights for a wedding I was going to in September 2017. About a week before the wedding Hurricane Irma formed and began tracking towards FL. 2 days before the wedding Irma was forecast to directly hit my town in FL. I have a family of 4 so I started scrambling to get my house and family ready to evacuate. In the middle of the chaos I called Casa Loma to cancel my reservation and get my deposit back I understand that they have a cancellation policy, but I explained to them that I was trying to evacuate my family from FL and I'd appreciate Casa Loma understanding my position. I was given the following responses on why I wouldn't be refunded: * "It ain't hitting here" * "You have to evacuate your family from Florida? Aren't you from California?" (I had move from CA to FL 2 months prior so the billing address for my CC that they had on file was a CA address). So 1 justification was that the hurricane wasn't hitting there and that I could just come there. When I told them that I wasn't comfortable bringing my 2 babies with me (the hurricane's path was changing daily), the reservations rep then questioned why I was evacuating if I lived in CA. Just bad business practices. There are plenty of hotels in Panama City that are comparable in price and have far better service. I'll be staying away from Casa Loma and going with one of those in the future.

Justin C.

Yelp
The hotel is really not that bad. I chose this hotel since it was the cheapest on the beach. The rooms are all two beds with a beach front view. Since there are no hotels right on top of this one you sort of get your own private beach which is really nice. Two seats and umbrella rentals are $35 for a day. Another main reason I chose this hotel was due to the location. It's in the middle of mostly everything. The staff was nice. There are no elevators so if your movement is limited I would not go here. The stairs really aren't that bad to deal with. Since the floors are tile it's a little hard to keep sand out of the beds. I dropped one star for the hot water. We stayed for 4 days and showers were always a problem. It goes from ice cold to burning your skin in a matter of seconds. None of the showers I took was pleasant. I also dropped a star for the wifi. I was pretty close to the middle on the top floor and was never able to get on the wifi. When I went to Nic's pizza across the street, I was able to get on Casa Lomas wifi over there which was really strange that I could get it there and not the actual hotel.

Leslie C.

Yelp
Charming place to stay. Love the vintage decor. Staff is helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay here again!

TJ P.

Yelp
the room is fine. but its like prison. the front desk is awful, rude and harass guest. reported to the BBB and lucky I didn't get a lawyer involved. We came the weekend before the spring break rush and found it to be the best deal in the area. Still a bit pricey, but the best value with a view on the beach. It's right at the tip of Front Beach Road it is great for staying out of traffic and avoiding heavy pedestrian congestion. The biggest con is the $200 cash deposit at check in. CASH ONLY. I wish we knew before we came as that's not a normal thing to carry. If I booked online with a credit or debit card, I don't understand the cash only deposit. NO guest in your rooms. you have to wear arm bands 24/7 to come on the property. seriously. you have to wear it all day and night. shower and all. No band and the security will ask you to leave the property. It's awful. How can you get people to want to stay here if you don't let people show off the rooms and view? odd. I do understand part of the methods to the madness. It's probably because someone crammed 10 people in one room without paying and cost them in water and noise and such. However, its just to strict here for the quality especially if we were 30 year old guest. Other than that no complaints on the room as a room. hotels are all the same, but the policies make the difference. this company treats you as though you are a child and that's not good business. However, as the rules didn't affect MY stay, it was ok here. The service is awful however. Don't ask for a few minutes extra to checkout, they will not allow it. They pic and choose who gets "courtesy bags" at check out based upon your behavior with the staff even though they are VERY rude at the front desk. I did have a review of 3 stars that got bumped to one because this place is awful. they are prejudice against the youthful guest and harass you public. the front clerk literally came around the desk, to the door to yell.

Yelp
We are staying here all this week. You go thru stages of feelings when you stay here. When you first get here, the parking is a nightmare! First stage: you walk in your room and think oh my gosh, I'm in Mexico! Second stage: walk in the bathroom and you sit on the toilet and think we'll I guess we will pack back up and go on down the road. Third stage: sit on the bed and almost think they just put box springs on the frame for you to sleep. Fourth stage: I don't really want these people to clean my room! :/ Fifth stage: (on about the 3rd day) this place really isn't that bad! The price is very reasonable and you couldn't ask for a better view. (All the rooms are balcony beach views). It's close to everything and the people who work here really are nice. Even if they don't look like they would be. What I have learned from staying here is don't judge a book by its cover! :)

Yelp
I headed down with some classmates for Spring Break 2011, we had booked another room nearby but it turned out to be a complete disaster so we headed down to Casa Loma. We were really surprised by how beautiful the view was and how clean the rooms were. Unfortunately, there wasnt any wireless internet or any available computers. The staff were a bit rude and the guys that are in charge of maintenance kept on staring at me and my friends as if we were pieces of meat. There weren't any restaurants or local places nearby. Overall this is a 3 star place to stay in, just something quick and easy. By the way, a lot of old senior citizen residents retired and live in this hotel, so it's not the best place for a fun and lively environment.

Yelp
This hotel is great if you want to feel like you're in hell for a night! Our room was so disgusting we stepped in and were appalled. Within two hours we were calling other hotels and making different reservations.

Yelp
The greatest place on the beach. Where else can you sleep with roaches? And the floors are a perfect kind of dirty. Mops are overrated anyway. The microwave is a great touch. Who cares if the the cord won't reach the outlet? We received a free upgrade which included the previous guest's trash. If you want to chance going home with a weird rash, this is definitely the place for you.

Yelp
this hotel was honestly not a reflection of the views! i was very worried about the bad reviews, and very skeptical of the bugs pictured, but there were none and we did a whole room check. we had a full kitchen, bathroom, two beds, and a master bedroom. the pool was really nice and the beach is amazing and so clean! some of the things that i didn't like were a lack of towels, the shower is hard to get the right temp, and the sink is outside of the bathroom. this review means a lot coming from me because i'm a huge clean freak. it was really nice overall though and the security guard was super nice. i would definitely stay here again!

Yelp
Great hotel for the price! It's right on the beach, and we even had our own balcony overlooking the ocean! The room was big, and had everything we needed, including a coffee maker, mini fridge, and microwave. The staff was nice, and took care of anything we needed, promptly. Definitely recommend.
