Class Luna is located perfectly to all the local attractions. Upon arrival we were welcomed with fresh guava juice and check in was smooth. Strongly recommend the Luna junior suite. We were able to lay in bed and look outside as the clouds passed and arenal came into view. It was a time to relax and not engaged with electronics. The nature trail on the grounds was perfect after a rainstorm and there are multiple hot tubs for guests. We would return.

Casa Luna was the perfect place to stay! From the moment we arrived, the check-in staff was so friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The hotel has around six pools, which were perfect for relaxing after a long day of adventures. The views of the volcano were absolutely breathtaking, and the location was ideal—tucked away in a quiet area but just five minutes from either of the nearby towns. Super convenient! The breakfast buffet was solid—not over the top, but exactly what you need to fuel up for the day ahead. Overall, Casa Luna was a fantastic stay, and I would definitely come back!

On arrival the hotel looked lovely. The room was large and nicely decorated with big windows and a lovely bathroom. There was a nice patio area outside. Some of the rooms are near the road and noisy so ask for a room near the pool!|Breakfast had a reasonable choice but we missed it as it didn’t start early enough as everyone was out on early trips. Lunch was a good choice and nice though pricey. The pool bar didn’t open to the afternoon and drinks were expensive. |The pool had broken tiles and very tired, also not enough chairs and those that where there were broken. |The spa was lovely and we had really nice treatment at there at a reasonable price. |Lots of wildlife in the gardens with sloths and birds. We found some restaurants and bars down the road.

We stayed two nights at Casa Luna on June 1st to June 3rd 2025. We really enjoyed this hotel. The room was very clean and quiet. It included air conditioning, and the view of the Arenal volcano from our balcony was absolutely spectacular! They have a nice pool to relax after a day of outdoor activities. They provide a very good breakfast to start your day on a good note. They are located in a quiet area at only a few Kilometers from the city. There are several very good restaurants near the hotel. Already at that point I would have recommended this hotel without any hesitation. In addition, on the morning of our departure we had an issue with the battery of our car. The front desk asked one of their employees to help us. He boosted the battery of our car, found a place to get our battery checked and replaced and came with us to the service station to help us manage the repair. This was exceptional customer service and we would recommend this person to be employee of the month at this hotel. Overall a solid 5 stars rating for customer service! Our stay at Casa Luna was overall pretty nice. The staff was welcoming and always very friendly. The rooms are not very modern. They have an A/C though. Our bedroom window didn't close completely so it invited insects in. Had to tape it shut ourselves. The strangest thing was that there wasn't a bedside lamp present in the room, thus if you wanted some light in the evening you had to turn on the main light in the room. The grounds are well-kept, gardeners working every day. There is also a pool, but they don't have enough beds to lay on, so when it's a busy day you're forced to either lay on the ground or return to your room/terrace after swimming. Behind the hotel, there's a nice trail to walk, and if you're lucky, maybe spot some animals. The food at the restaurant is okay, but quite steep in price. Much rather go to Gallos de la Abuelita Luicita down the road, 4 min walk.

We stayed here for 3 nights in February. Initially we were concerned that the hotel was too far out of town, as we drove there via La Fortuna town centre up a big hill which approached the volcano. And we then got allocated a room which was just two lodges away from the main restaurant so we worried about the potential for noise at night. ||But we loved it. My favourite hotel of our holiday. The restaurant was always quiet and what noise there may have been was blocked by the lodge next to the restaurant. We had a lovely view of the gardens and volcano beyond from our balcony - we were on the first (top) floor which was great and spent a fair bit of time out there just relaxing when we were at the hotel. The pool was the best we had during our 2 weeks in Costa Rica - very quiet plus there were a couple of jacuzzis which were pretty much deserted while we were there. Breakfast was fine and there are a couple of nice restaurants ten minutes down the road on the way to La Fortuna - El Chante Verde and the Ginger Restaurant. Both were very good, but El Chante Verde just shaded it for price and atmosphere. We decided to walk down to the centre one day and it was a bit of a trek - about 45 minutes each way, say around 2 miles. It's downhill on the way but not a severe slope and it's a very pleasant walk in both directions. La Fortuna itself isn't much, but a typical Costa Rican town I guess. ||I would definitely recommend the hotel for peace and quiet at a very reasonable price.

During my visit to Casa Luna Hotel and Spa’s restaurant, Origen, the ambiance initially set high expectations—it was truly stunning the moment we sat down. Unfortunately, that feeling didn’t last.||The cocktails were overwhelmingly sweet and lacked depth, prompting me to switch to wine midway through the first course. My main course, a tropical BBQ pork tenderloin, was a disappointment: severely overcooked and dry. The accompanying sauce had potential but needed refinement straining it through a cheesecloth rather than simply blending would have elevated it significantly. The accompanying sauce work for the roasted carrots was severely under seasoned, a little salt or pepper could have balanced the attempt.||Dessert continued the downward trend. The crème brûlée was curdled, a clear misstep for a classic simple dish.||The one highlight of the evening was the tropical oyster ceviche. Visually striking and perfectly balanced in flavor, it stood out as the saving grace of the meal.

We stayed at Casa Luna for a few days. Overall super happy with it. A bit from town. Grounds were beautifully kept. Pool area and little hot tubs were nice. Great view of the volcano. Little hiking trail is pretty. Saw toucans from the room. Bed were nice. Wifi was shady at best. Lots of hot water and the little balcony was a good place to relax after a long day. We did want to have a drink by the pool but there was never staff there. Food was really pretty good. Drinks were very good as well. Only time that service was off is when a van full of day trippers came in and then we got ignored. Town is a bit far, but it is easy to get a Uber. About a 10 in drive. All our tours picked us up there. Spa was lovely...but ease up on the oil please.
