🏰✨ Casa Luxemburg – where hospitality actually means something ✨🏰 Casa Luxemburg is one of those places that makes you question why bigger hotels even try. After a long, dramatic, slightly chaotic road trip across Romania, we arrived looking like two people who had lost a fight with Google Maps. And then — boom — we’re welcomed by the sweetest young receptionist with a smile so genuine it could power half of Sibiu. 😄 Within minutes we’re shown to our room, introduced to breakfast, and given a full, calm explanation of how everything works. Efficient. Friendly. Zero stress. The kind of energy you want after surviving Romanian traffic. The room? Spotless. Not “quick tidy before guests arrive” clean — properly clean. Fresh, well-kept, cozy, with a beautiful view of the nearby church that made us feel slightly more cultured than we actually are. 🏰 And the morning? Breakfast was simple, elegant, and surprisingly refined. Not a chaotic buffet battlefield. No sad scrambled eggs sweating under a heat lamp. Just well-prepared food, nicely presented, and constantly refilled by our superhero receptionist who somehow managed to smile, serve, refill, and check in on guests all at once. I’m fairly certain she runs the place single-handedly. 💪 The service level? Way above what you’d expect from a “small hotel in the old town.” This is the kind of place that reminds you hospitality is about people — not marble lobbies. Sibiu itself is a fantastic city, but Casa Luxemburg absolutely adds to the experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 out of 5 perfectly folded duvets (The fifth star is reserved for the fact that nothing in life is perfect… but this comes very close.) Would 100% stay again. And next time I’ll try to arrive looking slightly less road-weary. 😅

She was professional on another level.|Hotel overall was clean and large, served us a yummy buffet breakfast-it was a feast!!! |The rooms are more than equipped with lots of ideas a traveller may need.|Location could not have been better.|The parking was a 6minute walk away in the ‘legal courts’ car park and was 50LEI for an overnight

Would love to give it more than five stars! Amazing room. All mod cons. Brilliant location. Couldn't get much better. Would very much recommend. The breakfast was nice too. Located right in the heart of the city. Would definitely stay in it again

The hotel is absolutely ideally situated. We had a second floor 'superior double' room looking out over the famous iron bridge: a great sight from the bedroom window at sunrise and at night. The room was very large and comfortable as was the bed.|The breakfast was excellent with super service.|Parking is a bit of a lottery but we found spaces both nights in streets about 5 minutes' walk away. 24 hour parking costs about £1.50.

The best location to stay in Sibiu. It's central, has great views, has very comfortable beds, wifi, a Bluetooth speaker, and all the usual amenities. |Parking is just one minute down the road, the fee for which is only €2.00 per 24 hours. We didn't have breakfast there, so cannot comment.|The receptionists were very helpful and supplied us with a plug adaptor as ours was of a slightly wider bore than what is used there.|The only con is that there is no lift, so you need to lug your luggage 3 floors (in our case). We visited in May, so not busy during this period. Perfect period though for us. Highly recommended.

I normally wait to check out before reviewing a place, but this hotel is lovely! The building is beautiful. Quiet, comfortable, updated rooms in a central location. You can’t park anywhere nearby, but you’re in a medieval city, so how can you complain? The staff is wonderful, they have great AC, operable windows, and internet TV. Everything is spotlessly clean. Plus wireless charging and the room lights controlled from BOTH sides of the bed! Maybe I’m easy to please, but I think this place is pretty special.

Beautiful, comfortable, elegant and practical place. Everything is well thought out, from furniture, entertainment (bluetooth speaker/large tv with Netflix) to warm water and room temperature.. all one would need to feel like a special guest. Location is central but further from the cheerful historical center so rest and calm being is assured. Love this place. One of the best 🥂

We got an apartment in the hotel which was very well sized with multiple lounges and a bedroom, along with space outside with seats and a table. As the hotel advertises, the reception is not open at all times, but beware that on the day of arrival, you should let the hotel know when you're expected to get there to make sure someone's available to check you in. We didn't do this and were lucky to catch the person at reception just heading out for a while.||A great location for exploring the city too.
