The B&B was very nice, everything was in tiptop condition and probably recently renovated. The room was very clean, the bed very comfortable and the fridge was a real bonus in this heat. Aircon and Wifi also worked fine. Location is superb, just a few meters from Marina Corta but still quiet in a little backroad and there is a little supermarket a few doors down the street. We found the owners very welcoming and helpful, and they even prepared a takeaway breakfast for our early checkout. Every day the breakfast was great with very good coffee and a good variety of food (also savoury), and also fresh eggs and pancakes are being offered. This was our favourite place to stay during our trip around Sicily!

We stayed for 5 days and enjoyed our stay very much. Raul and Olga are fantastic hosts. Very helpful with information and assisting with booking excursion trips. They serve an extensive breakfast with good variety. The location is a short walk to the small port which is a delightful place to have diner and to catch the excursion boats to the other islands. The rooms are good size, very clean and quiet. To our surprise our room had a rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the port. Great place to stay.

This is a great place to stay. Located 2 minutes from Marina Corta, it's an excellent spot for those wanting to stay somewhere in amongst the narrow lane ways. The staff are friendly and helpful; the breakfasts were delicious and included both the typical sweet (crepes, cannoli, etc.) as well as savory (grilled zucchini, eggs, salmon, etc.) offerings; it was spotlessly clean; they even thoughtfully provide a place to hang up your washing on the balconies. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Make sure you take a walk (5 mins) south to a tiny pebble beach that should not be missed.

Raul is a very kind and available person. He was ready to help us with suggestions about restaurants and he also made the reservations. We were a big group of 12 people and he was nice since the first contact by email offering us also the possibility of a transfer when we arrived and left. The b&b is clean and quite, well located just behind the corner in Marina Corta, the most suggestive part in Lipari. Breakfast is good and the staff kind. I strongly suggest this place to any kind of traveller.

This B&B is about a 15 minute walk from the ferry but right next door to the old port. Room was large, clean and tidy. It is very quiet. The host could not be more friendly or helpful. My only gripe - the shower is very small!

This B&B is situated near the small port in Lipari which means it is about 10-15 minute walk to the main port where the ferries / hyrdrofoils land from the mainland / other islands. ||||The rooms are quite large, with a loft bedroom upstairs. Rooms were kept very clean.||||Breakfast was good, and included the option of freshly cooked eggs which I hadn’t seen at other B&Bs. ||||In staying in a B&B you tend to give up some of the comforts you would get from a hotel in return for personal service from a local. At Casa Mafalda I had very little interaction wiht the owner, only seeing hm when I checked in. When I checked in he explained to me that his English was pretty limited (which is fair enough my Italian is almost non existent and I am in his country). ||||I asked for recommendations for lunch and he gave me the two closest restaurants. Wasn’t anything particularly special about either of them, so think they were just recommended on the basis of proximity. I note that some of the reviews from a few years ago talk about how engaging and helpful the owner was so perhaps it has changed hands. Not really an issue in the age of google unless you are hoping for more personal service. ||||The room I stayed in faced a street and was very noisy. I could hear people talking as they walked up the street and motorbikes throughout the night. Some other reviewers have mentioned having quiet rooms. All of these also mention their rooms facing the port. From what I could see was one room on each floor (2 in total) which faced the port, so be aware if you don’t get one of these you are likely to hear noise. ||||I also found the bed quite uncomfortable. I had booked a double room and expected one bed but what I got was 2 singles pushed together with a noticeable gap in the middle which meant trying to sleep on one side of the bed as I would wake up whenever I accidentally rolled into the middle and hit the gap. Also the 2 pillows which were provided were very thin, again not conducive to a great sleep. ||||Overall it was an OK but not great stay. The other B&Bs which I have stayed in Sicily were definitely better. However, these were in other cities so perhaps not a good comparison with what is the standard in Lipari. I would suggest comparing to the reviews of other places in Lipari particularly those with recent reviews when making a choice / comparison.

The location is top. Very close to the port and to the Main Street. The rooms are quiet, nice beds. The best of it is the staff. They are kind and treat you with distinction. The internet access was ok. The breakfast was pretty good too. I do recommend this B&B

A truly great place to stay while visiting the Aeolian Isles. We stayed for five days. It is a great location, the rooms are clean and reasonably priced, and includes a large breakfast with eggs and coffee prepared to order. An additional bonus is that it sits next to a small grocery store with a variety of food, wine, water, and a deli. The owners Raule and Olga are the best hosts and go above and beyond to make your stay everything you want it to be; to include providing directions, coordinating tours and travel, and more. They even helped us to find some distant cousins living in Lipari. When in Lipari, this is where we will stay.
