Google
Beautiful vineyard, delicious wines & welcoming staff. They had a lovely musician under the oak tree. Her voice was like butter...the depth of Shakira mixed with velvet of Marc Anthony. Truly moving. I loved all the wines, but especially the rosè! Floral & perfectly balanced! The panini was delicious as well. So many amazing things...overall I highly recommend! HUGE shout out to Michael from Baja Vacation Planners for the recommendation!

This is my second time visiting Magoni and it was just as good as the first time. We were there this time with the fantastic tour company, Baja Wine & Dine. There was live music outside under the big 200 year old coastal live oak tree. It was lit up with lights and there were many comfortable tables and chairs all around. We tried three of their red wines and the majority of our group liked their cheaper Nebiolo blend more than their more expensive Nebiolo reserve. Haha!

Amazing environment, great wines. Best place to visit at Valle de Guadalupe hands down.

Google
Bodegas Magonia has quickly become a favorite spot for my fiancee and I when we visit Valle. It is only slightly off the main road but the tranquility it brings is incredible. Make sure you make a reservation so you get to sit underneath the tree! The tree has lights, speakers, and often times there is live music. We love coming here with friends, buying a few bottles of wine, getting a charcuterie board, and enjoying each other's company.

Google
Beautiful winery with outdoor seating under a big oak tree. Wine was delicious! Juan was an amazing host and very knowledgeable. We look forward to coming back for live music. Highly recommend.

Google
The big deal here is sitting under a huge tree behind the property that’s set up for tastings. Not worth it if you don’t sit under the tree. Few shaded areas. Not much that’s attractive to the property other than the tree. Wine was fine though wouldn’t buy a bottle.

Enjoyed our visit. The winery is relatively small, but has a very nice outdoor area under a huge oak tree where you can enjoy their wines. Reasonable prices to taste. We liked a couple of the wines we tried, but others were just ok. I would come back.

Yelp
Went early on a Saturday, which was a good choice. It wasn't busy yet, so we got one of the coveted tables under the giant tree. The tables in the sun were quite hot, so the shade from the tree was great. We had a very nice server, and while he wasn't confident in his own English abilities, we thought his English was great. So that was helpful for us, as he really shared a lot of good information about the wines and the history. We did the Mixta tasting, as that had the most options. The wines overall were decent. You are not allowed to bring in water, so you did have to purchase water if you wanted it. Their food looked good, but we had just eaten before arriving. It's definitely a beautiful spot, and the service was great. Not to say I wouldn't return, but I think I would try some new spots first. Overall a good experience.

Yelp
Enchanting place with a beautiful outside space. The trees in the back are PERFECT. They had live music also, which added bliss to the ambiance. Great selection of wine. Great service. Definitely worth a stop!

Yelp
Beautiful place . I'm a big tree lover . I was obsessed with it from the moment I saw that beautiful tree . I wish I had some reading material on the trees history . I only got a short version of it from our tour guide. The wine was absolutely devine and their cheese boards were delicious. Great music ! If the owner of Casa Magoni reads this please let me know more about the beautiful tree Thank u

Olga R.

Yelp
Im wine enthusiast , however I have zero knowledge on what I'm drinking , I'm just going to share with you about my experience with the place , because everything taste it good , but I have no clue on what I'm looking for on wines . The wine tasting is mostly outdoor under a beautiful tree , that keeps you cool, we were able to have wine & a charcuterie board, the customer service was good , the staff will explain to you what kind of wine they are giving you & what you can pair it with & let you enjoy and come back to check on you.

Yelp
Great location right off the main drag. Plenty of parking and you don't need a reservation. The grounds are stunning. Even the walk up you are transformed into a sophisticated winery tasting room experience. Skip the individual, personal tastings, and grab yourself several bottles to taste and share with friends. Whatever you don't finish, you can take with you. This place has the best tasting wine and the most affordable prices in the Valle. I love this place so much that I make it my #1 spot to visit every time I come. Drink your wine under a 200+ year old oak tree while listening to live music. It's a dream to enjoy the great tasting wine and amazing clean grounds. Very romantic. Make it a point to come enjoy wine and take bottles to go.

Yelp
Tried the White and Red tasting for 250 each and it was good. They gave us two Whites and one Red. Highlight was the Red which was a Sangiovese Cabernet. Impressive oak tree. Not a place for kids - they confiscated a soccer ball which one of the kids brought. Not very nicely. Overall, this place is nice, but I'm not sure there was anything special here, especially compared to the many other spots in the area.

Amber E.

Yelp
Beautiful setting for some wine tasting, under their 500-year old oak tree. Wines were wonderful, and we enjoyed a delicious cheese platter. They had a great band playing, and Magoni himself was there, too. We came home with a bottle of their Sangiovese Cabernet, which we loved. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
Heard about Casa Magoni from someone staying at our hotel at Casa Mayoral. This place is my top 3 favorite wineries ever...as in of all the wineries I have been to (which is a lot). I secretly want to keep this place off radar so it doesn't become crowded and full of annoying people. However, it is just too good not to share. Note that you have to make a reservation in advance (call or email maybe whatsApp) and when you arrive the security will check you in at the gate and give you hand sanitizer and check your temp. This process was the same in March when I first went and recently in July. There is a tasting bar outside as well as a gift shop. You can sit under the beautiful tree and get the rest of your wine pours from your tasting. If you are with a group, I suggest getting a bottle to share. Overall, we tend to drink white and rose so this winery was perfect for our palettes. Menu here: https://casamagoni.com/en/menu/ Everyone here was knowledgeable, friendly, made good suggestions about their wine and other things to do in the area. I love the friendly, non-competitive vibe. I have had many local businesses give referrals to nearby spots. Yes, most of the staff speak English but you might as well practice your Espanol! We took two bottles to lunch and enjoyed it with our meal. TIP: get the local cheese plate! Also you can get their olive oil in the gift shop.

Yelp
Wifey and yours truly are on a mission to taste the best of the best in Valle de Guadalupe / San Antonio de las Minas we started off this morning with a long list and determination, we made it to two wineries and I'm writing about our second stop. Vinìcola Magoni, you have to stop here, it is a great experience, get the reserve tasting, it takes a little bit lo ger because it come with a plethora of information about the wines, wine maker, founder and region. Hiram is a great and very attentive host. I hope you all enjoy your experience as much as we did. Cheers y'all! The wines are so good!

Theresa N.

Yelp
A larger winery with decent wines, good service, and a beautiful large oak tree to sit under. It can get quite crowded here but makes for a lively ambiance. There is also live music on the weekends.

Adam D.

Yelp
Beautiful vineyard with delicious wines and friendly staff. Multiple tasting options. The red (4 different wines) runs you MXN $250. Cheese plates for sale (MXN $250). Comfortable outdoor seating. The big tree provides great shade and relaxation. I really enjoy the sangiovese and bought a bottle for the road (MXN $440). I'm a repeat customer.

Lisa G.

Yelp
One of my Favorite wineries in the Valle. We love the peacefulness of the winery. Very relaxing, wines are tasty and the live music is always good. Jose at the register inside was very friendly and helpful. The ladies outside with the wine testing were very friendly too. The waiters bringing the boards were very helpful. We had a great time. It was our third visit here

May S.

Yelp
Beautiful winery. We tasted under the tree, and the wines are very nice. The dogs are very cute and friendly.

Jose R.

Yelp
This has come to be one of our favorite wine spots when visiting El Valle. The ambience of the area under a huge oak tree just adds to the overall experience. The Origen 43 and the manaz are a great start to the wine tasting. Music on the weekends keeps you their longer- a must when visiting,

Nina N.

Yelp
My favorite wine tasting spot in VDG! We went during off season and there was another couple there before so it was just us right before closing. The employees are super sweet and attentive unlike another nearby winery we went to. They also have cheese plates for purchase that are affordable. Their wines here are great. The location is great, near where we stayed @ Contemplacion. We went after the rain and was a little bit of a struggle leaving contemplacion, but it was doable. Roads are bumpy but not too bad. Definitely worth the price & def coming back. The girl we had explained all the wine details to us but I didn't absorb a single thing. We were pretty buzzed by the time we got here haha.

Leslie F.

Yelp
LOVE CASA MAGONI! Literally stop here every time I'm in Valle! There Merlot Malbec is amazing! They have such beautiful seating under a huge tree and live music on the weekends it is so relaxing and the staff is so kind and accommodating! Also in comparison to other wineries they are super affordable and despite gaining a lot of fame over the years have legit continued to be one of the most affordable wineries in terms of cost of cheese boards, tastings, and the price of their bottled wine! Absolutely love it here and it is really easy to get to, GPS takes you right here and they have their own parking with security. I also love their cheese boards they are delicious a def must try!

Camie K.

Yelp
Lovely vineyard with a beautiful courtyard where you can take your glass of wine to sip and stroll in! Their Nebbiolo is excellent (unfortunately I can't remember other wines there - probably too drunk at the time). You also get to keep the wine glass. When we went on a Sunday in Nov 2020 there was an outdoor band playing lively music. Make sure you reserve before going, since most vineyards at at limited capacity during pandemic.

Yelp
Paradise under the old oak tree! As first timers, to this particular winery, we can say this is one of the best in Guadalupe Valley. The fresh air, breeze, and outdoor setting made for such a relaxing and comfortable afternoon. The wines are amazing!!!! Hiram was so gracious and friendly. He gave us such wonderful information on the history of this winery. Can't wait to return. And of course, don't forget to have lunch or dinner down the road at Finca Altozano.

Chris M.

Yelp
Favorite wine tasting in the Valle! Casual atmosphere with a beautiful area to sit under a three-hundred year old oak tree. Can accommodate large groups. We went with children and they were able to pet the dogs and wander the grounds a bit. There are a few different tastings to choose from that were more reasonably priced than many other tastings in the Valle. Wine by the glass was very cheap. We liked the wines but especially the whites and the rosé. There are meat and cheese boards available. The cheeses are from the region and so fresh and delicious! We had some yummy chocolates as well. We will return! ¡Vamos a regresar!

Yelp
I had a great experience at Casa Magoni in February 2020. I brought a group of more than forty and everyone seemed to have a great time. Casa Magoni is conveniently located within a minutes distance from several other wineries in the Valle de Guadalupe. There is ample parking and there was no challenge maneuvering my bus in the parking lot. I liked the layout they have. Once you enter there is the wine tasting bar to the left, directly ahead is the balsamic vinegar area and the merchandise is to the right. There is plenty of seating outside as well as another wine tasting bar. The wine tasting was great. The price was around $10 and included four samples. The style is that you pay first and they give a glass and then you come back to the bar for each sample. Take your glass and roam around outside checking out the giant oak tree and orange trees. If you're hungry I highly recommend you try one of the cheese boards. I highly recommend you stop by Casa Magoni for a wine tasting. I definitely plan to return to purchase a hat, shirt and a bottle.

Yelp
While some tasting rooms boast their views, this place has a 300-year old oak tree next to it. Even if it's over 100 degrees outside you can relax under the tree and enjoy the breeze. There's also a live band playing (at least when we went on a Saturday afternoon)! The best part is you also get to keep your wine glass! :)

Donathon C.

Yelp
A newer winery in the Ensenada Wine Country. Their wines were great and the staff was very friendly! We even bought several bottles to take back to the states! They have a beautiful old tree outside the building where you can sit and have a glass of wine. The inside of the building is very small, but decorated nicely and feels intimate. To the right side, they have their vinaigrette soaking in their barrels. I recommend you ask to try their olive oil and vinaigrette..... SO DELICIOUS!!! Also, their Origen 43 was my favorite wine!

Lisa H.

Yelp
Great first visit to Magoni! Service was efficient, ambiance excellent with live music (Sunday afternoon) & the wine tasting was delicious (both white & red options). They also have their own homegrown olive oil. We will return to pick up a bottle to take home. Note: A few friendly dogs are on the property. One pictured below.

Yelp
Our most recent spin through Valle De Guadalupe took us to a few wineries that I had never been to before and this was one of them. Though not the biggest or most beautiful, Casa Magoni stood out to be my favorite of the day. Why? Well... The live band was ever so present but also well integrated into the overall setting under the large tree, which is sure to supply massive amounts of shade in the summer. The band played and played as the surrounding picnic tables would jump up and dance song after song - really nice touch! The wine didn't disappoint either and during a past trip I was introduced to some of the fine Nebbiolos that are made in Valle. Casa Magoni was no exception and their Nebbiolo was a big hit. Hell, we made it our table wine while hanging out since it carried a modest price tag of about $17.00 USD per bottle. Can you beat that?! Probably, but this winery, their wines, and the wonderful setting were just my speed!

Temenah C.

Yelp
This is the place to be. Before I even get into the wines, let's talk about how this place makes you forget about the outside world. This is one of the only times where I was completely present and took in every moment. There's this wonderful big tree outside of the building with a picnic directly under it. That's where you want to be. There was a live band during our visit, and although the outdoor area is really just dirt, several of us danced and laughed the afternoon away. Now, on to the wine. I was impressed. I think if you decant or aerate to "open" the reds they are really nice. Oh, and if you're a fan of Balsamic ask them to let you pop into the room where they barrel age their vinaigrettes. Vinegar is too strong of a smell for me, but if you love it you'll love this. Also, get a cheese plate. No two are the same, but they're all delicious. This was such a cool experience.

Ann G.

Yelp
Fantastic winery started by a vanguard of the Valle de Guadalupe. Senor Magoni is an Italian dude that played a big role in making LA Cetto the juggernaut that it is today. Rick Bayless was just here a couple of months ago and visited every day with his staff. Awesome! A few of the standouts were the Rose and the fantastic charcuterie board. Two huge dedos up!

Daisy V.

Yelp
My parents, brother, and I came on a overcast Thursday morning, and we instantly fell in love with the seating under that huge tree! I'm no expert in wines, but I enjoyed the range and variety, and the knowledgeable sommelier's explanations of each wine in our tasting. We asked about memberships or subscriptions available for California, and their staff said that it's something they're working on. I'd love to sign up whenever they launch this service!

Omar R.

Yelp
Nice ambiance, great customer service and very reasonable prices. This winery has some nice fire pits, and tables under a large tree, with live music. Great atmosphere to chill and hang out with friends. It's off the hidden path but worth a visit.

Polly M.

Yelp
What a wonderful experience. When you come to Valley de Guadalupe as a gringo do you expect paved roads this is down a dirt road not too far. You get there you open the gates and it's so beautiful inside . We loved our wine connoisseur Juan .. He . Was wonderful he showed us how They made 18-year-old balsamic vinegar and showed us the most gorgeous tableI Hage ever seen and treated us with such respect and love. Outback is a most gorgeous oak tree I've ever seen that made me just be so thankful I am down here in such a beautiful place that loves nature so much. This is a must see if you come to valet day Guadalupe

Ruben H.

Yelp
You don't need my review to convince you to come to this place. Just head on over there and enjoy the reserve tasting!

Alicia C.

Yelp
Did a quick stop here and was very good. Laura was super friendly. She even called another winery so that we could make a trip there before it closed. I loved the diversity in the wine here, nice quality of both red and white. The vibe is chill and looks like you can actually sit outside and listen to live music. Nice spot overall.

Jenny S.

Yelp
On my first visit wine tasting in the Guadalupe valley our guides brought us to Casa Magoni. A small winery, situated near an old oak tree this place is very peaceful and we enjoyed hanging out tasting the wines. For the tasting, I got the mix of 2 whites and 4 reds. I wasn't a fan of the Chardonnay, but the remaining wines were nice. The vibe is chill with a tasting area inside, you can get a glass or a bottle and go outside and sit. It's very tranquil, we would have sat and enjoyed the outside scenery a bit longer but it was windy.

Wendi L.

Yelp
Casa Magoni was the perfect place to start my wine tour. I had never been to Valle and having Casa Magoni be my first stop was the best choice. I arrived to a heart warm welcome, the girl at the counter knew exactly what I would like, she even recommend a delicious cheese board. I sat outside enjoying the view and amazing live music. Perfect, perfect, perfect!

Charles C.

Yelp
A great spot in the Valle with wonderful service and a nice facility. The huge tree outside is the perfect place to relax in the shade. The staff was very warm and friendly. My wife and I will definitely be back!

Christina S.

Yelp
We had a wonderful experience. Best stop we had here in the valley. The staff was amazing the wine was good We bought a bottle we were very pleased with his explanations and the free glass we received. He gave us a map of the valley and shared his dinner recommendation we ended up at deckmans but this winery was my favorite.

Manny Q.

Yelp
Estefania, Monica, and Laura are extremely knowledgeable and welcoming. Phenomenal time at Magoni! Oh... the wine is great.

Susie G.

Yelp
We did an express tasting here just as the tasting room was closing but we got a great sense of the style of wines in this vineyard, and great recommendations of personal favorites in the area. Really glad we came here after our fabulous meal at Finca Altozano!

Paul S.

Yelp
This is a great place to stop and relax. The wines are excellent and picnic tables set under the huge oak tree are amazing. This is a relaxed setting with a good variety of wine and selection of cheese plates (not a full restaurant). There was live music the day we visited.

Coleen M.

Yelp
Love this winery! Drinking wine outside under the big oak tree with live music makes for an amazing experience. Stephanie is the best!!

Blanca R.

Yelp
Went this weekend. Not sure I would go back for any wine tasting every wine we had wasn't any good. It's a nice setup. They seemed to be under staff.

David T.

Yelp
This is an excellent winery for refreshing and young palates. They also make intense-flavored wines, such as Nebbiolo. Perfect spots for wine enthusiasts and amateurs.

R D.

Yelp
Just visited This place was great the host was very informative and very knowledgeable on wines and their origin. We had a great time under the oak tree will be going back hopefully soon. The price was very reasonable and had a great selection of wines.

Kam O.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite wineries - and definitely the best in Ensenada wine country. The staff was very helpful and polite. There was live music (Saturday) from a very cool band. Very relaxing atmosphere. Seating under the huge oak tree and sipping wine on a hot Saturday afternoon- it can't get better. There wines are very nice also. 5 stars on wine quality, staff and ambiance! Will be back soon!
