Casa Mar Paraty

Breathtaking view, great location and amazing attention from Gustavo! Super easy, short drive to get to the town centre by car. It was lovely to retreat to the hotel after being in the city all day. The view in the morning and the breakfast are unbeatable. Staff is amazing, super helpful and the best restaurant tips! The kayaks at the beach are a lovely touch. We got upgraded for our honeymoon, something so lovely and rarely found in the mass tourism boom these days. Would love to return!

Great location, relaxed atmosphere and design. Very close to the beach but on a hill with breathtaking views. Food is simple but good quality. Would definitely come back and definitely recommend

We had an amazing experience in this beautiful hotel. A short taxi ride from bustling Paraty, we were happy to enjoy the peace & tranquility of such a well run hotel. It is meticulous….stylish & spotless, the service by all the staff is polite & attentive… There is nothing too much trouble for Gustavo, who organised taxis, boat trips, shuttle transfers as well as endless information to all the guests. This is hospitality at its finest. I’m not sure I’ve ever experienced standards as high.

This is an excellent place to stay. We were so happy we booked casa mar. The property is gorgeous and the open concept works so well. Of course the pool is beautiful with the views and we were pleased that it was rather warm allowing us to enjoy it. The team is very accommodating. Highly recommend!

It is really a fabulous place. The view is beautiful, it’s quiet and perfect to rest. The rooms are very nicely done with taste. And they are very helpful to organise any excusions or transfers. Highly recommended !

Casa Mar Paraty is a gem of a hotel. We stayed for only 2 nights, though I wish we had had longer. It is about 10 minutes by taxi from the town, but it was never difficult to get a taxi. Overlooking the sea, and surrounded by jungle, it feels very private and tranquil. There is direct access to a cute beach with kayaks for guests. The staff are fantastic and always happy to assist with recommendations and bookings. The rooms are simple but very comfortable. Breakfast is super and there is a nice honesty bar (perhaps my only minor gripe was the lack of regional wines). I highly recommend this hotel and we're already looking forward to our next visit!

This is by far the best experience we had at the hotel. The team at the hotel is nice and helpful, they've been able to accomodate every request we had and went above and beyond. The rooms are beautiful, the surroundings are peaceful and the view from the pool is spectacular. Excellent breakfast and food overall (nice touch with the honesty bar). We felt at home the whole time, and will definetly come back if we ever get the chance to pass by Rio or Paraty. It's worth every penny, thank you Gustavo and congrats on building such an excellent experience!

We are glad we found Casa Mar Paraty. We were in Brazil for 11 nights and 4 nights we were in Paraty and stayed at Casa Mar. Everything is amazing about this property and the people who manage it. ||Gustavo was very helpful in answering all our questions before our trip to Paraty. Things we loved about Casa Mar:|1. Staff is amazing. We had amazing people dealing from breakfast to nighttime. They are always there to help you out. |2. Clean and tidy rooms. Special mention also needs to go to the cleaning staff as we stayed in Buzios and Rio in 5 star hotel but by far Casa Mar room was better cleaned and overall property can give run for money to any good 4 or 5 star hotels. |3. Beautiful views from the pool area and direct access to the beach by a short path. The nearest beach is mainly used by small fishing boats but there is one beach further down a short walk away as well. |4. We are vegetarians and were struggling to find good options to eat out. So on 2 nights we used in house menu option where Flavio cooked meal for us. It was best meal we had in Paraty. And its beautiful setting around the pool area at night time as well to enjoy the evening and have a meal. Thanks, Flavio for cooking an amazing meal for us.|5. Some of the staff speak good English which was a bonus for us. |6. It's away from Paraty Centre but still not far away. You can get to the historic centre in 10 minutes by car/taxi. ||Simply the best days we had on our Brazil trip. I wish we had stayed longer in Paraty. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nice place to stay in Paraty. ||
