Casa Margherita

The owner Barbara is wonderful and extremely helpful. The room I had was enormous, with a very comfortable bed and strong shower. It is located right in the middle of the old town, so perfect location. And when you close the shutters and windows it is totally silent! A special permit to park the car right in town made it complete. Plus a delicious breakfast the next day. Was one of the best places I have ever stayed! Highly recommend!!

Casa Margherita has three enormous rooms, overlooking the central Piazza delle Erbe, the rooms are very, very large and quiet, but for some evening noise when evening drinks animate the underlying Via Broletto. Bathroom is not so spacious but comfortable. Nice tasty breakfast and the owner, Ms Barbara, will go through somersaults to help you out, having also extensive knowledge of the town jewels.

We spent 2 nights at b&b Margherita. The b&b couldn’t be better situated for visiting Mantua - right in the centre overlooking the Piazza delle Erbe. Our room and bathroom were enormous, spotless and extremely comfortable. In spite of overlooking the busy street and piazza the double glazing meant we didn’t hear a sound from outside. Breakfast was copious. Barbara is an excellent hostess, recommending great local restaurants and helping out with the parking.

Casa Margherita is a charming B & B right in the middle of the town. Very spacious rooms which are more like appartements. Very friendly owner, very helpfull.||No elevator. If you have heavy Luggage (like we had) going up to the 4th floor is not so easy.||On Thursdays there is a market all over the twon centre and finding a parking place is not so easy. You need a permit to enter the town, but from Wednesday night onwards you need to remove yourcar from most of the Streets.

Positive: Both the room and the bathroom were very large, with very romantic furniture. I stayed alone, but I guess this place is perfect for a couple.. Negative: Due to Corona, the breakfast place inside the building was closed and I had to go to a different place. There's no elevator..

Positive: The location is very central and the owner was lovely!. Negative: We stayed there on a Saturday evening. We could hear the noise from the street below until 2 am. The other bedroom had the windows facing the courtyard so fortunately, it did not disturb the kids, just us! Also, because of the covid, we had to have our breakfast at the bar across the street and did not experience the homemade cakes..

Positive: It was a nice room it’s a shame that it was on the fourth floor without elevator and the stairs were steep. Also it’s hard to comunicate if you don’t speak italian.. Negative: The breakfast wasn’t as advertised and the parking space is not included..

We had a perfect stay in this bed and breakfast in the center of Mantua. The hostess was charming and helpful, the locatian ideal for visiting the city, the room and bath immaculate, and silent. The cost was reasonable, by Italian standards.
