'OK'. We had an experience voucher (seemingly like 2/3 other tables in the restaurant!) from our wedding and so not everything in the menu was included (or alcohol). The place was cold and damp, and smelt of it, my jacket was cold and damp after, even the wine glasses smelt of damp. The manager/maitre d' didn't really seem to be that engaged with customers at all. The 3 falafels were ok; quite dry; one was very salty, pita was not really toasted. Berenjena con ternera; the aubergine wasn't cooked enough but the meat was quite nice. Couscous with pollo harissa was ok; not much harissa flavour at all. But...the worst was the quality and price of wine! €6.50 a glass! And it was not good wine. Sorry, I wouldn't recommend.

Beautiful courtyard and delicious food. We had the salmorajo with strawberry. Different and yummy. The salad with crispy chicken and curry chicken were full of wonderful flavors. A special thanks to the woman serving at lunch on Oct. 6. She took super care of us. So kind and warm!

Despite being in a rush, the owner recommended some dishes and we were pleased with the combination.

Casa Mazal was so accommodating to our family this evening. The menu wasn’t labelled but they could advise and adapt dishes for our coeliac needs. Really no problem to eat gluten free here. Really interesting flavours. Thank you!

The atmosphere of this restaurant was beautiful, tranquil and relaxed. I felt comforted while eating there and restored when I had left. I ordered the Artichokes with vegetables and saffron sauce and Fried aubergines with cane honey and poppy seeds. The Artichokes were excellent, beautifully presented and well balanced in flavor. I highly recommend this dish. The fried aubergines were very good, it was more fried dough than eggplant, however it was nevertheless delicious.

The staff were very attentive and polite but apart from the starters, which were good, the main (bacalau, oxe trail and lamb) were served freezing cold. The member of staff was very apologetic when they were made aware and quickly worked to rectify the issue. Unfortunately when the food reappeared it was still very cold. We told the restaurant again and said it was time for us to leave; at which point they gave us a full refund. Disappointing as it actually looked very good!

What a glorious experience-literally everything was superb! Carmen was so charming she made us fell like family! The setting is beautiful…with a courtyard and indoor dining space and a tiny back courtyard with a tinkling fountain. The food was, quite simply, delicious and on a quite different level from most of the other restaurants we have visited in Andalusia. The taste was delicate and sung through on every dish. We started with Salmorejo a las tres culturas…each separate element was delicious and it was one of the most beautiful started I have ever had. Next we shared the trout wrapped in vine leaves (superb!) and the confit duck with couscous…perfect. I would return in a heartbeat and the evening will stay in my heart for ever! If you are in Cordoba, don’t hesitate, don’t look around for something better (you won’t find it!) just go and enjoy Casa Mazal!!

We came to this restaurant after reading a plenty of good reviews. Unfortunately we were overall a bit disappointed. The food was great. My unhappiness came from the restaurant's service and atmosphere. The host and waitress were friendly but not attentive to us. They forgot completely our drinks - we had to remind them, and did not take used plates from the meals and never checked on us during our visit. We also had to go and ask for the bill, not only for the forgotten drinks. At the same time the staff was talking loudly, laughing, making strange sounds and jokes. There was no music in the restaurant so this was all we could hear. We were the last (and the only) table during our late visit after 10 PM. The honest truth is that we did not feel wanted and served with attention, we felt like the staff did not want to be at work but somewhere else.
