We had an absolutely amazing experience here. The food was, in my opinion, Michelin Star worthy. The service, atmosphere, and ambiance were off the charts and the food was the cherry on top. The price, for the quality, is beyond affordable and the attentiveness was top notch. We highly recommend this restaurant when you visit Positano, so make sure you check it out!

Google
Wow, Casa Mele blew my mind with the ultimate chef-to-table party! Picture this: a jaw-dropping 15+ course Italian food extravaganza, complete with a chef putting on a warm and homey cooking show right in front of us! We snagged front-row seats and watched the magic unfold—every dish was a flavor explosion! Toss in three bottles of wine, and it turned into a total blast! The staff? Absolute rockstars—super friendly, accommodating, and keeping the good vibes flowing. One drawback is the lack of a view to the famous Positano, but the incredible food and experience more than make up for it. You’ve GOT to check this place out—highly recommend!

Did a cooking class here with Rosa. She was lovely. Fresh ingredients, you don’t have to do a ton of cooking (mainly prep and learning about the ingredients and cuisine). It was so much fun and a great way to spend the afternoon. (Unlimited prosecco included)

We had an incredible experience at Casa Mele in Positano, taking a private cooking class with Chef and owner Raffaele Mandara. He made the entire experience so easy to follow, detailed, relaxed, and joyful — truly a pleasure from start to finish. We love Italian food, and having the opportunity to learn how to make it under Chef Raffaele’s guidance was a real privilege. We prepared tiramisu, fish, eggplant balls, tomato sauce, and pasta — everything was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend taking a cooking class with Chef Raffaele if you are in Positano. It’s an experience you will never forget!

Google
My daughter (7yr) and I had a wonderful experience with the cooking class. The food was amazing, the class is adapted and the chef is happy to answer any questions. They cater for gluten free and children while keeping adults entertained. It opened my daughter up to new pasta dishes and she polished off everything from the 4 courses! Thank you for the wonderful memories we created yesterday.

Google
Wonderful restaurant with transformative food, very elevated fine dining. Not traditional or "street" food, so if that's what you're looking for, this is not the place. If you want great, elegant food, this place is perfect.

Google
A meal at Casa Mele is an absolute must-do. The atmosphere is warm, sophisticated, and perfectly sets the stage for what is to come. And then there's the food—oh, the food! Every single dish, from the appetizers to the dessert, was delicious. The flavors were vibrant and complex, each plate was a work of art, meticulously crafted and beautiful to eat. The staff was incredible—super nice, friendly, and genuinely attentive. They made us feel so welcome and enhanced our entire dining experience. We cannot wait to go back!

Yelp
Absolutely unreal dinner. We did the 7 course tasting menu with the wine pairing. It was worth every penny!! We were in awe with every bite and how good the wine was with the food. This should easily be a Michelin star restaurant!! I would not be surprised if their turn is coming. Special note we were not sure what they offered for kids so we decided to feed our 6 year old before. Upon arrival they had no problem with him only ordering dessert. They even said they would have made chicken nuggets for him! They gave all of us including our son a mozzarella cheese stick which was amazing!! He loved it and he is incredibly picky.best meal by far in Positano.

Yelp
Excellent dining experience! The food is as modern and subtly technical As the deco. Must eat here. I will be back.

Yelp
My favorite. On the one hand, doesn't have a view of the sea. On the other, you get to watch the 5 or 6 chefs carefully craft your meal. Food uses traditional ingredients with a modern flair. Owner is in the kitchen directing his team through every detail. Service is amazing. Great wine list. Beautiful dishes. Wonderful desserts. Just a great experience

Yelp
Passed this restaurant several times while in Positano walking to our hotel but never considered going because it was "interior" and mostly everyone-including us-wants dinner with a view in Positano! Luckily we quickly read some reviews and decided to try...and wow, so happy we did! It's very tastefully decorated and all the wait staff were incredibly friendly, low key and just "cool". They worked seamlessly together through the meal. We weren't super hungry so we ordered one beef dish and the grouper dish and while the portions were small, the flavors and presentation were amazing! We couldn't stop raving! The bread served with the meal was piping hot and so delicious (although we didn't enjoy the olive oil served with it, oddly enough). We also received a small zucchini flower app, and at the end of the meal, we were served a small selection of delicious desserts. Super sweet presentation and great bite-size flavors! We've been eating our way through Italy-as everyone else-and this was definitely our best meal in 8 days! It's on the pricey side but so worth it. So glad we stumbled upon it. Compliments to the chef!

Yelp
This is a beautiful restaurant with a beautiful team. Go experience everything you have to offer, absolutely do the wine pairings (I almost never drink, and it was worth it. They'll suit red or white). Learn to cook with Chef Raph if you can. The pasta is flawless and toothsome, the broth is clean, the fish is brought up from the mongers down the steps. I can't do octopus because i love them... but I have no doubt it's delicious. Sadly. The dessert tasting and the beautiful coral sculpture is so cool, different textures and types of desserts. My brother in law (not me I swear) knocked it over and our server totally pretended it didn't happen. Thanks, guys! If you can sit by the open kitchen watching Raph and everyone on the line is fabulous.

Yelp
This was by far the worst restaurant i visited in Italy. My boyfriend and I were excited by the reviews so we made a reservation for the same day and went to the restaurant at 9. We ordered drinks and then a few plates to share. The food was pretentious - which is fine if it is delicious. The "eggplant parm" was three sauces that tasted like you put eggplant parm through a dishwasher. The pasta was not Al dente, but severely undercooked and hard to chew. The dishes lacked any semblance of flavor. In the pasta dish, there was a huge shellfish shell which I didn't realize until I bit down. Instead of spitting the food out so as to not be rude (my boyfriend and I were sitting right by the chefs preparing our meal), I chewed the nasty shell and swallowed it. I obviously made a face when this happened, and instead of receiving any kind of concern from the wait staff, I was chastised. A server who was not even our server came over and very rudely told me "if you have a problem you need to speak directly to the chef." The rest of the meal was extremely uncomfortable. Never have I ever been chastised at a restaurant, and certainly not because of a pretty big mistake on behalf of the kitchen. Maybe if the chefs were paying attention to cooking our meal instead of watching futbol on an iPad, they would have caught the shell in my pasta. I heard a few other tourists from our hotel talking about how horrible the food was that night. Maybe it was an off night, but I wouldn't go back to find out.

Yelp
(Italy Edition) Really well executed tasting menu! Rated #1 on trip advisor, can't say it's #1 since I only ate at a few places during my stay but it was a very good fine dining experience in Positano. We did the 6-course menu with wine pairing and it was very satisfying and well orchestrated. Comfortable decor, nothing too fancy but service was where it should be for this type of establishment. Worth checking out for sure. Food: 8/10 Value: 7/10 Service: 9/10 Atmosphere: 7/10

Yelp
The food is out of this world tasty and fresh. Old world charm in an eclectic atmosphere

Yelp
Casa Mele was by far the best meal we had in Italy, let alone in Positano. Actually, it might be the best meal we have EVER had. We opted for the 6 course tasting menu with wine pairing. After our second course, we bumped it up to 7 courses because the food was THAT good. They change the menu regularly but if you're lucky enough to see Uovo "CBT" on the menu, order it!! It was my favorite of the 7 courses. Every dish was absolutely phenomenal and plated so beautifully- truly works of art. The wine pairings were carefully curated, and the service was wonderful. We were lucky enough to snag a table next to the open kitchen to watch the chefs work their magic! Seating is completely indoors (no view) but with food as good as this, you won't even notice. Wish I could give this place more than 5 stars!
google avatar

Yelp
The reviews did not disappoint. This was the best meal we had in Positano. Each dish was carefully crafted to perfection down to the tiniest details. Really surprised they don't have a Michelin star. We did the 6 course tasting menu and it was amazing!!! My husband won't stop raving about the risotto.

Yelp
Just a lucky find as it was very close to our hotel. We are very fortunate and have eaten in some wonderful restaurants all over the world. The food here was just wonderful, the service impeccable and a place I would send my friends. We loved it.

David L.

Yelp
We had one of the best dining experiences I can remember. We were fortunate to sit in front of the kitchen so we could watch the teamwork of the chefs prepare food. Felt like we were on a live episode of The Food Network. We ordered, but while watching dishes prepared we kept saying I wish I had ordered that. We ended up ordering another entree when we finished. Everything was perfect. Desserts were great. Just an amazing, dining experience.

Yelp
We had our anniversary dinner here and the staff really made my wife feel special. I will never forget the amazing journey we took with the Chef Mateo. The details were impressive. Hands down, this is a place you must visit.

Tarah M.

Yelp
We ate here on our last day in Positano and it was the best meal in all of Positano that we have had and we had impeccable service. My husband and I enjoyed the delicious flavors of each meal and we can't even express how attention to detail and how much thought was put into each meal! The wait staff was super friendly that we felt very special. They were kindly inclined to speak English too when we tried our best to speak Italian. They shared complimentary appetizers to desserts that was mind blowing! Definitely will recommend this restaurant to whoever comes to Positano. We will forever remember this meal and made our trip very special. Please

Yelp
Best meal & dining experience in Italy- seriously. How do you not have at least 1 Michelin Star? Service was delightful and attentive. The food is local, flavorful, fresh, organic and original. The chief is amazing. I give them my highest recommendation. All 5 stars guys!

Eric M.

Yelp
This place was exceptional. A 6 course menu plus dessert, with wine was around $260, without gratuity. I thought it was well worth it, not sure my wife agreed. The tastings were delicate and potent with lots of different and pleasant flavors. Service was good, the space was lively and you could see everything going on in the kitchen. We left after the ferry and bus service was done for the day and a 25 minute taxi ride back to Amalfi was $120! That was the worst part!

Yelp
The best restaurant in Positano! The staff is amazing and the atmosphere is phenomenal.

Yelp
This place. Almost worth the trip to Positano alone if Positano itself wasn't such a jaw-dropping beautiful locale. Came here two nights in a row. Did the creative tasting one night and traditional the next. Food was mind-boggling great. The creative menu was one of the best food experiences I've ever had. On the traditional menu, the carbonara risotto was a highlight. Wine pairings were on point. Emphasis on Campania but also highlighting great wines from all over the country. Had one of the best rosés I've ever tasted from Apulia - Calafuria. Also had a 2015 Oi nì, an oaked Fiano from Tenuto Scuotto, which was absolutely delicious.

Yelp
Went here on a recommendation from a couple we met in Positano and it lived up to all expectations. This is a Michelin star restaurant that has yet to receive its star. The food was incredible, the wait staff phenomenal and attentive, and even classic dishes had a delicious contemporary spin. The eggplant Parmesan was especially good, and the Il Limone (The Lemon) desert was creative and delicious. On top of this, the food was economical considering the quality and a fantastic experience. The owner personally stopped by our table multiple times during the night and took our order and engaged in pleasant conversation. You also get plenty of free sides of food throughout every course. This is the top spot to go to in Positano in my eyes and you would be remiss not to eat here.

Yelp
Blown away by the food and the incredible service during our last meal in Positano - so glad we chose Casa mele for our finale. If you are in positano for a few nights, absolutely make reservations for Casa Mele. It's not your traditional heaping plates of seafood and pastas so we liked this as a refreshing break and new take on coastal Italian cuisine. Casa mele takes these flavors but puts an inventive, modern twist on it. For example, "eggplant parmiganna" came in a tiny round amuse bouche bite with the smoky cheese and charred tomato flavors but in a whole new way. Other favorites included fresh from the oven charcoal bread rolls, strozzapretti with anchovies and chili peppers, and the most tender lamb we've ever tasted (and we've eaten a lot of lamb). What really set this meal apart was the warm and accommodating waitstaff. The sommelier brought us a complimentary glass of wine that he thought would pair better with our lamb - what a nice touch! we were showered were little additional bites throughout the meal which really created the fine dining feel! I can't recommend Casa mele enough, I'll be dreaming of the lamb and eggplant bite for years to come.

Yelp
We ate at Casa Mele our final night in Positano, and we definitely saved the best for last. Luckily, we were able to sit right by the open kitchen so we could watch the masterful Chef Matteo work on his stunning creations. We ordered the seafood antipasti appetizer and followed that with pasta carbonara and spaghetti with a variation of tomatoes and finally the chocolate variation for dessert. Everything tasted heavenly, and the service was impeccable. I'd highly recommend Casa Mele for anyone visiting Positano.

Yelp
This place is great and should be on your must do list while spending time around Positano. The restaurant itself is more modern than most others in terms of service, style and menu presentation. It's at the end of town, but an easy walk from anywhere. I made two weeks worth of reservations online with different restaurants all over Italy, each with the same instructions, and yet this was the only restaurant who did something special for my anniversary without prompting. Well done! I would go with the "pick em" chefs tasting menu. Very cool way to try much of the of menu, but still get exactly what you want. They will also split each item for both diners, again, very unexpected, but awesome... and most restaurants don't go this extra step. The owner is around running the fun room... with the open kitchen, it feels like a big house party with only your best looking friends attending. Go here, you'll find First class everything, it will be a great fun night at a very well run spot.

Yelp
We were recommended to this place by a couple locals plus the stellar TripAdvisor reviews that for some reason don't compete with the few reviews here on Yelp. We were so glad we came here! We were staying in Praiano and chose this over some more touristy options. This is definitely a contemporary Italian approach and the chef (Yokohama native with a Michelin star-rated background) runs a super tight ship in their open kitchen, producing both beautiful and delicious creative food options. We dined on a weekday night and got a table right next to their open kitchen with a perfect view of prep and plating artistry. Our server was incredibly nice, spoke great English, and was more than willing to make recommendations. We ended up going with that evening's specials, which included a tuna tartar served with diced apples, avocado, and leeks, alongside a delicious raw prepped prawn, deveined and served with olive oil and some delicious garnish. The two of us split this and each got half serving beautifully plated for us individually. For first course, we shared the homemade tagliatini in a tomato sauce with fresh cherry tomatoes and two generous entire fresh langoustines (halved for us), so one per plate. For main course, we shared the braised veal cheek. We also got a complimentary aperitif of grilled octopus with potato purée that was very tasty. The veal cheek was simply divine. I highly, highly recommend it. It was so perfectly prepared and served with a purée of pumpkin and alongside a red wine reduction. This was one of the best bites of food on our whole trip all over Italy. We had the babà for dessert, which for me was good butt probably would opt for something more rich as it was a bit on the dry side. We did also get complimentary hazelnut gelato and some biscotti which were both delicious. Overall, great service, great experience, and I would highly recommend!

Yelp
From the moment you walk in you realize it's going to be a special experience. The owner greats you, takes you to your table and makes you feel like a VIP. The thing is, that is the service that is given to everyone. The entire staff makes sure everything goes perfectly as if every one of them prides themselves on you having an incredible dining experience. The food is impeccable. The octopus is slow cooked for 4-5 hours so it is tender and not chewy like many places. The prosciutto is like none I've ever had and I've been eating it for two weeks daily all over Italy. The veal chop was insane. They don't call it a veal milanese on the menu but it's better than any milanese I've ever had. It's not pounded but rather is thick and juicy. This is the best food in Positano. There is no jaw dropping view like some places in Positano but that is more than made up for with the incredible food. They also have an extremely extensive wine list which is categorized on an iPad where you can filter your search by region, price, grape, etc. Very cool. Do yourself a favor and go here.

Yelp
Most attentive service, most unique and delicious food we have had in Italy. It was an incredible experience and I would go back again and again! Yum!!!

Yelp
Alright, let me tell y'all something. I'm usually not the biggest fan of fancy fine dining. Until recently, I thought of it as pompous and arrogant, a sort of classist or elitist perversion of the eating experience. I myself am a frequenter of cheap street meat from food trucks and bodegas. It's safe to say that I had my doubts when I came to this restaurant. However, I was brought along to Casa Mele as a part of celebratory gesture for my mother, as it was her birthday (this is relevant to the review, so stay tuned), so I couldn't exactly refuse to attend. We decided to go with the Creative Menu, a selection of courses partially improvised by the chef as a way to keep us on our toes and let me just say... this s**t was off the chain. Alright so peep game, we got these oysters as the first course, right. Bruh, I don't even like oysters. I used to go to this seafood pub with my family as a kid; they would order a buttload of mussels and clams and I'd be chillin', eating my pizza burger deluxe. Now I'm like "Damn, now I see why they were eating that stuff!". Needless to say, the oysters, with the accompanying sauce were fantastic. But yo, the s**t that had me so hype was this one dish they brought out. It was octopus with some other stuff. I had my doubts. Not only am I not the biggest fan of octopus or squid, but octopuses are mad smart! I usually feel bad eating em! Not that day. People, when I tell you that when I sliced my knife back and forth as it cut through the tender octopus tentacle that was served to me and it had the texture of crock pot chicken... I'm not playin' games!!! Casa Mele was not playin' games!!! Clearly!!! Oh my goodness, I was about to lose my damn mind when I was eating that octopus. The peasant in me was craving some tartar sauce and french fries but the way it was served was... immaculate. Fantastic food aside, Casa Mele left a great impression on me with their great treatment of their customers. Our servers were very kind, with one of them thoroughly and carefully explaining the dishes. The best part of the night came when the restaurant staff surprised my mother, my sister, and I with an assortment great desserts! Earlier that evening when my mom went to the bathroom, my sister requested to our server that there be a surprise for her because of her birthday. Yo, they played the Italian happy birthday music on the restaurant speaker system!!! It was tight!!! All in all, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a dining experience beyond the average or beyond the acceptable. Casa Mele serves great food with great presentation and has a great hospitable environment. This was a very good experience.

Yelp
Dylan our hotel host at Giardini dei Sensi suggested we check this place out. It was a short walk and we were welcomed well before our reservation time. Very comfortable, amazing staff, awesome friendly service and the food was amazing. Very interesting twists on classics that were so flavorful and delicious. These chefs really care about food execution and beautiful plates. This was the culinary highlight of our Positano trip and if we weren't relaxing or sightseeing, we were eating! This is a must stop for anybody who appreciates great food and great service!

Yelp
All I can say is OMG!! Over the top .... the wine, the food .... we did the chef tasting and every bite was sheer decadence. The wine sommelier recommendation was stellar. We will be back!!

Yelp
We dined here on the very last night of our 2 week honeymoon in Italy and this was one of the best meals we had. We really enjoyed the tasting menu (there was a Risotto that was out of this world) and we loved the unique concept they have of the open kitchen. We had a table facing the kitchen and we enjoyed watching everything get prepared. By the end of the meal we had a good sense of each person's role in the kitchen. The owner/manager is also very friendly and welcoming as you come in and gives you that authentic Italian feel. We'd highly recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
Best meal we had in Positano over the course of a full week. Food was inventive, fresh, well prepared. Service was friendly and professional. Highly recommended!

Yelp
By far our favorite dining experience on the Amalfi Coast. We were staying around the corner at Hotel Marincanto for our honeymoon and decided to try this place based on its great reviews. From the second we walked in, everything was exceptional. We were greeted with open arms and treated like royalty. The service was incredible and the sommelier knew exactly which wines and champagne would pair well with the dishes we ordered. We had the best red and white wines either of us have ever tasted and the champagne was incredible as well. We chose to go with the menu option which was a fixed rate of 85€ per head and we received 6 of the most delicious Chef's selections including a trio of gazpacho soup, lemon ricotta crostini and lightly fried eggplant. Round 2 was the largest and freshest oysters which were very briny and flavorful. Round 3 was seared tuna with endives which was so tender. Round 4 was some of the juiciest slices of beef carpaccio with diced peppers. Round 5 was a refreshing risotto with zucchini crisps, and round 6 was a huge piece of salted cod that was encased in what looked like charcoal but was amazing. We would be here every night if we were local! Oh and how could I forget dessert? They brought us lemon sorbet to refresh our palates and that was followed by creme brûlée with a raspberry sorbet which was to die for!!! Last but not least the brought out some pastries with a delicious piece chocolate. Everything was heavenly.

Yelp
Steven and I had such a special dinner at Casa Mele each course building upon the last into a beautiful meal. We shared a perfect bottle of wine that was so kindly suggested by our waiter. Chef Raffale, thank you for sharing your cooking with us! I absolutely love that you are offering such a special dining experience in Positano! I can't wait to come back :)

Ms. T.

Yelp
Great little spot with an open kitchen. I tried the prefix menu and one item I was not crazy about. They were more than happy to make sure I was happy. The host made our night. We ask him sit with us and we really enjoyed our dinner and conversation. We also met the owner and chef they were delightful... a prefect end to a great evening. Only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars was only I think the menu was great but limited. It should not deter you. I got the impression they would accommodate ur request if they are able too. Ciao!
google avatar

Wilkliam L.

Yelp
Great food, service and decor. The chef had a quick chat to us which was nice. I'm surprised this doesn't have more reviews on yelp. I can't get over how good the pasta wss
google avatar

Juan T.

Yelp
Had the opportunity to visit the restaurant off hours for a cooking class. Chef Raffaele was awesome! Very cool guy, down to earth and made the cooking lessons easy to follow for everyday dishes. The food was amazing. I did not get to try their regular menu but if the simple stuff was great I can't imagine what the regular menu brings to your tastebuds. Definitely stop by if you are in Positano.

Yelp
Probably our most delicious (and expensive) meal we had in Italy. I wanted to avoid these types of restaurants because if you're going to a chef tasting restaurant where it'll end up being $100+ a person my thought is you're gonna get good food anywhere. However, after spending a week of eating nothing but pizza and pasta, it was definitely a welcome change. Of course as expected their dishes were all amazing and presented well. Wine list is on an Ipad which was cool. We left stuffed and I eat a lot. If you want a nice meal while in Positano Id suggest making a reservation here since you prob won't get one at La Sirenuse

Yelp
What a wonderful experience! As soon as we walked in and saw the open kitchen, we knew we were in for a fine meal. Our waiter was exceptional. I asked him about zucchini blossoms (as I had been searching for them all over the coast) and he told me to say no more. 5 minutes later, two beautifully crisp, stuffed blossoms arrived at our table. We had an app, the ravioli, steak, and the best bottle of red we've had in a long while (thanks to our waiter for his rec!) It's a must go if you're in Positano.

John T.

Yelp
Everything was fantastic! The atmosphere, the service, the food, the open kitchen...everything! Best experience we've had in Italy! This is a must do! "Eating is a necessity, eating intelligently is an art!"

Yelp
Excellent restaurant. My husband had the prix fixed menu paired with wines, it was awesome. My fish as cooked to perfection and the appetizer was wonderful. The waitstaff was very wonderful. Our hotel had made our reservation and they greeted us with warmth and a good table. They presented a complimentary hors d'oeuvre and limoncello to cap off the night. I would go here for sure, could be romantic too, we were with my daughter and her boyfriend and they enjoyed their food very much.

Yelp
It was small modern deco restaurant right up on the street from our hotel. I had 6 course tasting menu. Tuna tartar was delicious and mozzarella cheese was excellent. Pasta with seafood, wish my pasta cooked bit more but probably this al Dante is how Italian enjoys the pasta. My main was beef cutlet which was ok. 6 different salt was bit overwhelming but taste was good. Desert was great. My BF order fusilli with lamb ragu was great. His main course was three different styles of pork surprisingly good. Jar full of candies put smile on my BF's face. We think it was pretty good value as well.

Yelp
After dining at this restaurant not once but three times during my week long stay in Positano I thought it only fair that I write a worthy review. I had the honour of working with Chef Rafaelle one on one for a week at the cooking classes he holds and I was humbled by the passion and love he puts into each chop, stir, taste and garnish. Taste, innovation, and presentation were non-negotiables, which was evident in the always packed nightly crowd that frequented the restaurant. The staff is wonderfully warm, knowledgable and attentive without being overbearing. The wine selection is expansive and has an assortment of affordable bottles to celebratory ones. The restaurant itself is impeccably decorated with no detail left unturned. From the placemats and light fixtures to the adornments from around the world and the Casa Mele hand lotion in the bathroom the restaurant provides a chic interior with an inviting atmosphere. Now on to the food - where to even begin!!?? For appetizers the Chef's interpretation of a caprese salad is not to be missed, nor are stuffed zucchini blossoms. For the pasta course the risotto is a standout and if you're lucky enough to go on a day where Chef has prepared his simple but incredible bolognese then this is a dish that needs to be ordered. For the meat course the fresh fish in crazy water is tasty and the filet minon is so buttery and delicious. Desserts are all home runs so you won't be led astray in whatever you pick. Casa Mele became home in my short stay in Positano and Chef Rafaelle became a friend - I cannot wait to return :)

Jon G.

Yelp
The tasting menu was out of this world! We were fortunate to sit right next to open kitchen and watch the chef prepare each dish seemingly effortlessly. We had the tasting menu with the wine pairing and highly recommend it! From the fresh pasta courses, risotto, fish and meat pairings - all cooked to perfection with the really quirky ending (won't spoil it) of the meal made for a fun night! While you lose the view of Positano, watching the chef and staff in action was just as amazing!

Yelp
Did the cooking class and hate to be the party pooper but it just ok, the "hands on" consisted on cutting tomatoes and vegetables and running pasta dough through the pasta machine. The dinner was very rushed and loaded with butter. The staff was nice and the kitchen and restaurant is very smart looking.

Yelp
I will start out by saying that if you are a picky eater, then this 4 star rating will make sense to you. The food here is absolutely amazing - everything I ate was delicious - but there is very limited choice. In fact, there are only about 20 or so food items on the entire menu, only 6 or 7 of which were entrees. Regardless, if you're open to trying something new and creative, you will 100% enjoy it. All four of us had absolutely no complaints about our food. I recommend this place.

Yelp
The food and service were absolutely exquisite. The best spaghetti we've ever had, and the beef cutlet was out of this world. I would definitely come back. This place is a must!

Yelp
I come to Positano every summer and while I love it, I have always found the food pretty mediocre until I found Casa Mele. You feel like you're at home only with far better food. Chef Rafaelle and the kitchen are so creative without being pretentious. Quite simply the BEST meal in Positano

Yelp
Incredible food. They were very generous in giving us some free samplers (before the appetizer and for dessert). Great ambiance and service. Don't hesitate to go... You won't regret it!

Yelp
Amidst a sea of delicious local food, Casa Mele is the hidden gem. On my first night in Positano, I was fortunate enough to have received a recommendation to visit the small and intimate restaurant as an introduction to the town. It still hasn't been matched. Located on the eastern hill, it is an easy walk from anywhere and worth every bit of it. The interior is very contemporary in contrast to everywhere I've been so far in the area. Open kitchens, with food prepared right in front of you, and friendly staff. The food was incredible. They believe in simplicity and the food seems to melt in your mouth. The specials change as well based on what they've found fresh at the markets that day. I was also able to return a few days later for a cooking class with head chef Raffaele, which was incredible. With his expert guidance, we prepared a meal nothing short of what he would serve himself: fried & ricotta stuffed zucchini flowers, handmade ravioli (the best I've ever tasted), fresh sea bass steamed with local vegetables, and an oozing chocolate lava cake to finish. I highly recommend his class for anyone interested in the culinary arts! For anyone looking for the best food Positano has to offer, check out Casa Mele.

Yelp
Chef Rafaelle has created a real gem with Casa Mele. In addition to dining there, we also had the privilege of having a personal cooking class with Chef Rafaelle. From the moment you enter you know you are someplace special. In addition to outstanding melt-in-your-mouth food, the ambiance is contemporary, and the wait staff welcoming. The restaurant is located very close to Le Sirineuse and is easy to reach in Positano. If you haven't tried Casa Mele you really must, and tell all your friends. You will not be disappointed!!!!
