I stayed at this hotel after a very long day of walking the Camino to Santiago. The staff helping me during my check in were very helpful and welcoming even in my tired condition. My room was elegant, very large and comfortable. I felt like I was living in a villa with the beautiful stairs and decor. The room air conditioning did not cool off the room and I could not open my windows and per management this is due to the time of year. I did enjoy the breakfast and the elegance of the restaurant. This is my second time at this hotel and I love it still

A wonderful place!From the very first moment, we were greeted with warm smiles that made us feel truly welcome. The room was like a fairytale – with exquisite woodcarving and a magnificent bed that transported us back in time, as if we were characters from the era of sword duels. Our heartfelt thanks to the entire hotel team for their warmth and for making this stay unforgettable!

Hotel in excellent location top of the main Avenue. Underground car park beside hotel €10 per night and can be paid at reception when checking in. She will give you card that has to be scanned entering and exiting. Our room and bathroom spotlessly clean. Why I did not give this hotel 5* was because of blonde lady serving breakfasts was extremely noisy banging and clattering delph and cutlery which could be heard from reception area. Not a relaxing environment! No yogurt served at breakfast and was asked by numerous guests on both mornings we were there. |Small swimming/dip pool and outdoor beds clean but outdoor furniture on bedroom terrace should be skipped asap.

The hotel is in a great location, and our room was fine. Unfortunately the air conditioning went out on our second night. We made calls and visits to the front desk. Several times he said he re-started the system, but it did not help. There were no other rooms available, so we asked for and got a fan which helped. We opened the windows, but our room was easily accessible from outside, so that seemed unsafe, and bugs were coming in. It was a very uncomfortable night. |The next day, I asked for a partial refund, and only got comped for the parking. The person on duty said it is an old air conditioning system that does not work well. If you are sensitive to sleeping in a hot room in July, you should book elsewhere.

The Manager of the hotel was really personable and professional and very helpful with extending our check out as I was really sick and called ahead to the hotel I was going to in order to make sure I could get an early check in. He called a taxi for us to the next hotel.|The hotel itself is just beautiful. There is a brewery/bar connected to the hotel that was lively in the evening.

The city is amazing. The services are very good with super helpful staff. The building is old but renovated, and you feel mix between old and modern. The location is close from everywhere.

Well located and the ambient of the hotel is amazing, unfortunately only one short passage of one night, but for sure to repeat in the future

Our experience at this hotel was outstanding. After a long day's walk with backpacks on the Camino Portuguese, it was wonderful to be greeted by the hotel's reception staff with an invitation to take a bath and relax and then come back to the front desk with our passports to complete the check in. We were also invited to feel free to bring any hand washed laundry that we did to the front reception to be dried in the hotel's dryer and returned! The room was very attractive, roomy and comfortable. The breakfast had everything that we could possibly want and was available early, which was appreciated. I highly recommend this hotel.
