Casa Mendoza Mexican Restaurant

We heard this was a very popular spot, so we decided to bring the family out for breakfast. We arrived a little after they opened, which was perfect since there was no wait. Everyone ordered something different, and every dish was delicious. The burritos were good, but the plates are really what this place is known for. The red chilaquiles had a nice kick to them—definitely a bit spicy, but full of great flavor. The Machaca was hearty and filling, and they definitely didn’t skimp on the portion. The Mariachi plate is a great choice if you’re really hungry—three meats, a solid portion, and well worth the price. Overall, the whole family enjoyed both the food and the service. We’ll definitely be back when we’re in the area and would absolutely recommend this place.

Absolutely delicious! After a long day in the parks, hiking and driving, we arrived ravenous! The staff was so friendly and recommended a couple of amazing dishes! Portions so big, despite being so hungry, either one of us could finish as we have dinner for tomorrow! Price was reasonable too!

When the electricity went out in town for hours all restaurants closed and workers went home. When the power came on, this unassuming hole in the wall was the only place that re-opened. It seemed like the entire town showed up and they never missed a beat. The food was fresh, the prices very reasonable, and service was impeccable.

We came back from Hume lake and at the town at almost 8 pm. This was the restaurant that accommodated us and helped us with the to go orders. We all liked the chicken wings. Fish and shrimp Tacos were just ok.

The ambiance is nice. There wasn't any music and the cook's music was soft enough for guest to relax, which is good after a long day of hiking The decor is a mix of the Sequoia National Park and Mexican culture. It is family friendly and wheelchair accessible. The food was below average Tex-Mex, definitely NOT "authentic" Mexican Cuisine. The chips were a mix of chili & salt and plain. The salsa and chips were just ok. Shrimp Cocktail was prepared with shrimp cooked in plain water and add catsup and other ingredients. My husband didn't like it. The fish taco was bland - it had no taste, the same with the green salsa on it. The tortillas used for the taco were stiff/hard. I ordered the green chili, dinner combination. I didn't like any of it. I really tried to keep an open mind, but it wasn't good. I did like the "agua fresca" de jamaica, but I think it was prepared from powder mix. They have. Outdoor dinning and the whole place is wheelchair accesible, but tables are average height. Definitely family friendly.

Sweet spot. Nice patio. Friendly service. Perfect tacos and tostad. The chips are house made with corn tortillas— enjoy with guacamole.Bonus: they serve Modelo Negro. Solid meal. Arrived around 4:45. No waiting.

Nice outdoor seating, shaded well even on a hot evening. Service was VERY slow (to be fair they were busy), but friendly. Great chips, salsa, and queso (though queso was a bit broken). My partner loved their burrito. I tried their mole enchiladas (my first time for mole). I can't judge too much but I did think the sauce was a bit bland and the filling was just shredded chicken that was also a bit bland.

I’ve been to Three Rivers multiple times but this was my first experience eating here & definitely not the last! The food was amazing from the chips & salsa to the main entrees. I got the flautas combo plate that comes with rice & beans & it was so delicious. It is a little expensive, but with the amount of food you get it makes it well worth it…We will be eating on left overs for the next day atleast. The service was also great & our waitress was very attentive to us throughout the entire meal. Great experience, We will be back!
