Visiting family before Christmas Eve, they brought me to Casa Mezcal for dinner after a busy day and we had a great experience!
We arrived Saturday, the night before Christmas Eve 2023, around 6pm to a pretty full parking lot, albeit I still managed to take a parking spot right next to the entrance. Once inside, we were greeted by a hostess who managed to get us seated at a booth right away. Inside was nothing too fancy, but it felt authentic and there was plenty of tables, booths and many of them were filled already. Our waitress was a friendly, courteous young woman who brought over a basket of warm tortilla chips and salsa, all complimentary, and mini-plates to snack on as we browsed the menu. We were starving so we destroyed the first basket pretty quick but she was ready with another basket. She was fun conversation and fun to banter with. After we got our drinks and had time to read over the menu, we ordered our dinners. It did not take too long at all for the food to arrive.
For dinner, I ordered their Burrito Santa Fé- a burrito stuffed with grilled chicken, steak, rice, beans, crispy tortilla strips and grilled onions, smothered with their cheesy guajillo sauce and garnished with sour cream, cilantro, corn, and black beans. It says right on the menu but this is definitely a knife and fork burrito! This was excellent and plenty filling. Nothing about the burrito stood out to me but still very good. Maybe next time I would ask for a bit more "heat" to it. The quantity of food and the price were excellent.
All-in-all, I really enjoyed Casa Mezcal! Friendly staff, great food, nice portions, at reasonable prices. If/when I am back in Bath, I would like to come back here again!
