We stayed recently for 3 nights & couldn't have been more disappointed. This was our first time staying in Travestere, so we had high hopes. |When we arrived there was no one at reception & we had to go into the bar next door with our bags looking for someone to check us in. Not a great start. The lady in reception then took a photograph of our passports instead of scanning, which I feel is a security issue, but unfortunately, neither of us said anything. The foyer was very poorly decorated, an old fridge & an old bike were there randomly & an old sagging sofa with a throw over it was in the hallway. |The lift was dirty & broke 3 times during our 3 day stay. The hallway & stairwell reminded me of a multi-storey car park, dark, industrial & dingy. The corridor to our room had a carpet that was so badly stained that initially, I thought it was a concrete floor.|The room itself was quite large, which was the only positive. The room was very bare & basic with no nice features or touches. The furniture was mismatched & shaky.|The bathroom was in need of maintenance with cracked tiles, very badly sealed windows, visible dirt & dust on the window sill, toilet seat was cracked & had brown staining [pictures of all these were taken]. The hairdryer had bare wires exposed.|The breakfast is advertised as complimentary, so I can't complain too much but the quality was really poor & the garden which was being used for breakfast was in need of general maintenance. |We travel a lot & and it's the first time we've considered not staying in a hotel after arriving.
